'If I could give more stars I would! This is a total experience. The hosts are so friendly and helpful. They are so happy to share their piece of paradise with others. If you want to get away from it all, this is the place. Birders, this is located in the bog with great birds waiting right outside your door! Walk down to the bridge and watch herons and beavers near the Whiteface River.'

'Went on guys' golf trip. 4 of us. This place was great. The location is right between 2 golf courses. Beautiful villa. Great to have complimentary pancakes, coffee, etc... Can't say enough good things about Walden Haus.'

'My husband and I were coming to the area to ride our Ranger in the National and State Forests. We wanted a clean and comfortable stay with parking space for our trailer. The Quiet Cottage in the Woods, aka Stolhammer Hus, fit the bill perfectly! The house was stocked with almost anything you could need, and the awaiting cornbread muffins and honey were a very thoughtful gesture. Also appreciated the slipper socks to wear in the house. We hope to return for a longer time as we just missed...

'It is like its described, a rustic cabin. We love camping, so it was nice not pitching a tent and sleeping on a comfortable bed. They had some basic utensils, battery operated candles, and cooking supplies as well. The dogs loved running around and swimming in the lake. We caught a few sunfish from the dock. It was super cool the first night we spent there was a wolf pack howling in the distance and owls hooting. The stars were beautiful.'
