Exclusieve retraite op tuinniveau in de vredige kustheuvels van Marin County. Prive-toegang Franse deuren open voor uitgestrekte dekken, prachtig uitzicht, groot infinity pool, bubbelbad, stoomdouche en gas barbecue. 2 flatscreen-tv's met premiumkanalen, (woonkamer en slaapkamer). Supersnel Wi-Fi internet overal. Centrale locatie voor gemakkelijke toegang tot San Francisco, Sonoma / Napa-wijnland, stranden aan de Pacifische kust, spectaculaire Redwood-bossen en eindeloze mijlen aan wandel- en fietspaden.

"Mountain View Retreat" en alles wat op de foto's wordt getoond, inclusief het zwembad, het bubbelbad en de uitgestrekte dekken, bevinden zich allemaal op het lagere tuinniveau van een huis met twee verdiepingen. Gasten hebben exclusieve toegang tot alles wat op de foto's wordt beschreven en gezien. De retraite is alleen voor gebruik tijdens uw verblijf. Het "hoofdhuis" op de bovenste verdieping is door de eigenaar bewoond, maar is afgesloten van de onderste verdieping om maximale privacy te bieden.

De slaapkamer heeft een luxueus comfortabel kingsize bed met zacht linnen met hoge draadtelling. De kombuis keuken is goed uitgerust met alle nieuwe Keurig koffiezetapparaat, magnetron, vier pits gasfornuis, een kleine koelkast / vriezer, blender, broodrooster en een scala aan kookgerei, bestek, kopjes en glaswerk. Koffie, thee en enkele basisbenodigdheden zijn ook aanwezig. Er zijn ook voldoende schone handdoeken, waaronder grote strandlakens voor het zwembad.

Let op: er is een korte trap die u naar uw voordeur brengt, dus rolstoeltoegang is niet beschikbaar.

We had an amazing stay at Vicki’s. Communication was easy. The location is perfect: Fairfax is a sweet town, close to Point Reyes, Bolinas and other Marin highlights. SF is only 40 minutes away. The apartment was very pleasant, bed extremely comfortable. Deck with bbq delightful. And the view over the pool fabulous. We very much hope to stay here again.

Property has spectacular views and wonderful outdoor space and is in a great location to explore Marin County. Pool is lovely as is all the outdoor seating areas. We had a wonderful stay at Vicki's retreat. Very quiet area with wonderful views. The hot tub and pool were an added bonus that we took advantage of to relax. The location was great for us to visit San Fran and Napa during our stay. It was also just up the hill from downtown restaurants and shops. The home was clean and well equipped for us to prepare our own meals. Vicki was very responsive to any of our needs or questions. We will definitely return when we come back to the area.

It was better than I expected. The property is even more beautiful and relaxing than the pictures indicate. Pool and hot tub were both great. Property owner was very attentive and left lots of yummy snacks for us hungry travelers. Very nice property and views

We enjoyed our stay at the Mountain View Retreat. FYI it's on and up a Mountain so be prepared for a short up hill drive. The directions were good, the check in process okay. The more you do the drive and entry the easier it will become. Getting there with the use of a personal (spouse) co-pilot will really help. Upon arriving you will have a private lower-level unit to yourself with a beautiful view, large patio setup with grill, pool (too cold and rainy for our stay), wonderful hot tub, comfy bed, large shower and 2 tv's. Kitchen was adequate for two people with enough plates, silverware and glasses. Stove/oven, microwave, toaster oven included but with a smaller half size fridge. No dishwasher but it was relaxing to hand wash our dishes. Would stay again especially if you wanted to hunker down and unwind for a few days.

This location in Fairfax was a truly remarkable oasis. My husband and I enjoyed soaking in the sunshine and long evening chats in the hot tub while star gazing. Lovely, clean space for a getaway!

Very much enjoyed our week in this rental. Everything was just as advertised. This is definitely a mountain location—a steep road up but it was manageable and the view was worth it. Fairfax is a great little town to stay in. Awesome shower, good mattress. Love that there was a real coffee maker along with the keurig. Kitchen had everything we needed. Thank you!

Everything about this place was just perfect. The view the pool, the Jacuzzi, the steam bath, everything. It was absolutely so clean and well stocked with everything from spices to little snacks, a beautiful table setting, every bit of equipment we could possibly want, super comfy bed and couch. The home itself is so well built and well designed, with stunning views over the valley. Vicky was easy to reach and prompt with her responses. I can’t think of enough nice things to say about this place. Maybe of the more than 100 vacation rentals that we’ve been in over the last five or seven years, this was the best.

Magical retreat in the hills

This spot is a complete gem. The grounds are immaculate, peaceful and designed so you can just relax and be still. Yet, the town center is a mere 15 minute walk and has lots of wonderful restaurants, charming shops and an incredible coffee shop. Within 30 minutes you can be hiking among the redwoods or hanging out in Berkeley/Oakland area. We would absolutely come back again. The space, amenities and location make this one of the best rentals we've ever stayed at. Thank you so much!

Amazing Vacation

First off, the property is exactly as described with stunning views of the mountainside from the infinity pool, relaxing hot tub, comfortable living spaces and quiet and humble surroundings. Vicki was great, although we didn't interact much, it was clear that she wanted to allow us our space and enjoy our vacation. She was there if we needed her, but respected our privacy. Check in was great - no problems and Vicki provided good detailed instructions! The home itself was spectacular. I knew the view and amenities were going to be great from prior reviews, but what I didn't expect was the minor details of the home that I would come to respect so much! The unique door handles, stained glass and the bedroom door were a few of my favorites. It just added a uniqueness to the space. I know this is a review for the VRBO, but I would be doing a disservice if I did not also speak to the town of Fairfax. WOW. The restaurants, the shops, THE PEOPLE, I just don't have the words. The food was excellent everywhere we went, Sorella Caffe, My Thai Fairfax, and Ghiringhelli's Pizzeria to name a few. I only wish I could have been there longer to try every single restaurant, there were so many on my list. The shops were such a fun walkabout in town. There were two shops that we went in that happened to be closed at the time and both shop owners INSISTED we look around. This brings me to the people. The people of Fairfax made my trip. So down to earth. TEN STARS, I'll be back.

Vicki was a fantastic host and her property (and the surrounding area) is just as beautiful as the pictures. Highly recommend staying at the mountain view retreat, whether just for rest and relaxation by the pool while taking in the mountain views or as a home base for your Marin County, wine country, or even SF centric activities.

We loved staying in Vicki’s home. She is so welcoming. Her pool apartment is lovely. One with Nature

Absolutely loved our stay in Mt. View retreat. A private sanctuary with an infinity pool that looks down into the valley below and across the mountian. Hummingbirds flutter around the lovely gardens. Inside you will find attention to detail in regard to design and decor. Comfortable bed, well equiped kitchen, greeted with snacks! Close to San Fran, Sasalito, Muir Woods.
