'I liked the old world charm of Southern Cross, and the relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
The bed was comfortable, and there were some nice touches such as strawberries to put on our cereal at breakfast, home-made marmalade, and nice biscuits on the tea tray in our room. We appreciated these.'

'Hotel was lovely .first room i was given very very tiny . Bathroom evan smaller. But asked to move rooms and that was not a problem at all. Next room was large and very comfortable. Staff very nice. Right o the beach . Had a very lovely 4 days at THE EXMOUTH BEACH HOTEL . '

'Everything we hoped it would be and more. Friendly, very helpful staff and fantastic food and service which started before we arrived. The views across the Exe are stunning and the extensive grounds beautifully kept. We plan to come back next summer so we can use the beautiful pool and croquet lawn. Loved the chilled out vibe in the Poolside restaurant. '

'The property was very clean and all of the staff were so friendly and polite. The facilities are great wish we had a longer stay to be able to utilise everything. We will definitely be returning. The only criticism I have is that the decor in some areas and in our apartment was quite dated. But that isn't a deal breaker'

The breakfast and evening meals were superb and we did enjoy having a freshly cooked breakfast brought to our table rather than a buffet style self service where the food had been hanging around. Het personeel was super vriendelijk.
Het minpuntje was het kleine 2 persoonsbed. Wij hadden een familie kamer met ons 3en. Dus 1 2 persoons en 2 1 persoons bedden. Iedereen een eigen bed dan maar. De wc trok slecht door en de parkeerplaatsen waren krap.
Maar ik zou het hotel volgende keer zeker weer kiezen.'

The town is small with great views of cliffs if you walk to the west. Lots of little shopping. The beach isn’t a plus as it’s rocky, but hotel has nice swimming options.'

"We came there and the first thing you noticed was a charming cottage and then you see the incredible view. It was so peacefull and quiet, you just start relaxing the minute you stop. The cottage's interiour was in a typical English style so you could really get into the atmosphere, which I loved. It was well maintained, with more than enough room and everything you need in the kitchen like a fridge and freezer. The beds where very comfortable. The town itself is charming and in the pub you can eat very good. The owner, Claire is a lovely host. Friendly, kind and she can be contacted whenever you have a question and she will always help. I recomend this cottage very highly."
