'Absolutely loved my stay at The Black Lion Royal Hotel. The room and bathroom were spotless and clearly very well looked after. The people at the reception are incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. The English breakfast was delicious and freshly made each morning. 'Food is excellent and beds are very comfy. It's old-fashioned in that it's a conversion of an older building, so windows are single-glazed and the doors open with actual keys. But the rooms have everything you'd expect from a professionally run establishment. Staff are all friendly and professional though you sometimes have to seek them out – hardly surprising as there are only six rooms so they can't have someone permanently on duty.'
