Als u op zoek bent naar een unieke en rustieke hut om te ontspannen en op te laden in een prachtige bergachtige omgeving, dan hebt u het gevonden! Privé, maar toch handig voor alles wat het Hoge Land te bieden heeft. Kom en ervaar de charme van een 'echte' pioniersblokhut. Geniet van het simpele plezier van de schoonheid van de natuur en vroege Americana gebundeld in één. Haal diep adem, nu ... adem uit!

Sleepy Creek is gemaakt van de logs van twee authentieke 1800's blokhutten (uit Kentucky en West Virginia) die opnieuw werden geassembleerd en samengevoegd om een zeer unieke en comfortabele vakantie te maken. Deze hut is gebouwd van prachtige antieke, met de hand uitgehouwen populieren en eiken houtblokken, prachtig metselwerk, compleet met een cederhaakdak. Het is gelegen op meer dan 4 hectare bebost land met een prachtige beek die langs de cabine loopt door het hele areaal.

Het interieur beschikt over grote kamers met (2) slaapkamers en (2) badkamers. De master bevindt zich op de begane grond (koningin) en heeft een kleine eigen badkamer. Zwarte walnoten plankenvloer, antieke knoestige grenen lambrisering en speksteenblokken open haard mengen met nieuwere componenten om het toneel voor dit gezellige toevluchtsoord te vormen. De tweede slaapkamer omvat de gehele bovenverdieping (een tweepersoonsbed en twee eenpersoonsbedden) met gewelfd plafond en plafondventilatoren.

De rustieke keuken in boerderijstijl is volledig uitgerust, beschikt over alle nieuwe apparaten, maar behoudt zijn landelijke charme met antieke meubels, waaronder een authentiek Hoosier-kabinet uit de eeuwwisseling. Er is ook een aparte wasruimte. Een 2e badkamer bevindt zich beneden. Maar het beste deel is de overdekte veranda. Ontspan met het uitzicht op de zeer luidruchtige kreek en de vele kolibries die in de zomer de hut bezoeken. Vergeet niet te genieten van een picknick of dutje bij de kreek - banken, picknicktafel en hangmat aanwezig. Sleepy Creek biedt de perfecte setting voor uw ontspanning, comfort en plezier.

Summer at Sleepy Creek

Sleepy Creek exceeded our expectations and we had a wonderful week long family vacation. It was very clean and the beautiful weather was perfect for evenings playing games at the table by the creek. On rainy days, we enjoyed the time on the porch. If staying there during warmer months, it did get warm upstairs and we were running a bunch of fans to cool it off. Kathe was wonderful to work with and helpful during our stay. We would definitely stay here again!

Charming Cabin; Fabulous Stay

A family of four + 1 mountain-loving dog had a great time at Sleepy Creek. We spent four nights in the cabin over the Thanksgiving holiday. The cabin is exquisitely maintained. It is warm and inviting and easy to get to. My family has a tradition of going to the mountains every Thanksgiving and this has been our favorite location by far.

What a beautiful log cabin and setting! We loved it from the moment we saw it through the trees as we drove in, and we were not disappointed when we walked in the door. My husband and I have stayed in a lot of places in Virginia and North Carolina and I must say this has been my absolute favorite!! The cabin is rustic and charming just as pictured. The yard and landscaping is beautiful!!! The stream makes it even better! The location is great and is a short drive to West Jefferson. The best place to reset and spend time with family

We loved our stay. The home was impeccably clean. The kitchen was stocked with everything you may need. It was still decorated for Christmas and absolutely beautiful. It was perfect to relax and spend time with our small kids. We were a quick drive into Boone or other towns around which had plenty to do and see when we wanted to get out and about. Kathe was super responsive and helpful. The guests before us broke her oven and she called us a day before check in to provide very reasonable options and explain that she was doing her absolute most to get it repaired before our arrival but give us the final option on what to do. She walked us through absolutely everything we could need to know upon our arrival via phone call and it helped us to settle in that much easier. If you are considering, just book it.
