A nice stay in a nice place

Sorry for not reacting earlier, but because of the busy Christmas period It got a little bit out of my mind. After a difficult start in Amsterdam, due to the snow, we finally arrived in Mauritius one day later (without luggage for two days) but from that moment on we had an excellent time. It started at the airport where the friendly and helpful Bala was waiting for us to pick us up. He brought us safely to our apartment, situated in a quiet area but indeed close to the supermarket and the beach. The apartment is equipped well and luckily the airco is ok too because we are not used to the high night
temperatures. During the day, when we were not at the beach or at the excellent swimming pool, we mostly sat outside on the terrace in front of
the apartment. As a matter of fact, we were only inside the house for having a shower and for sleeping. In Mauritius people live outside and so did we. So we didn' t watch TV ( there are no Dutch or Flamish spoken channels on it like in most places in the world) but because of wifi, which was excellent we could listen to our favourite radio and news programmes. There was a small electrical problem but Bala assured us he would check and fix it.
Mauritius is nice and we tried to visit the most important places of it on our own. Isle aux Cerfs is a beauty for sure and there are some other places with astonishing beaches. So we had a magnificent time over there
with very sunny, hot days. When Bala drove us back to the airport he asked us if we were satisfied and when we would come back. We told him that we were very pleased about our stay and about him too, but he was surprised to hear dat we wouldn't come back in the next few years for the simple reason that there are still so many nice places in the world we would like to see. Besides of that a 14 hours flight to get there is also pretty tough. It is an excellent place for people ( and I have spoken several of them) who escape the cold winters in Europe and stay there for several months. So never say never never but for the next few years we would like to explore other horizons. Nevertheless we can highly recommend the apartment and we also would like to thank Bala and Manda of course too, for the quick and correct communication. We wish you lots of success for the future and as I write this comment on January 1st 2018, my wife and I
would like to send you our best wishes for the next year too.
