Beautiful and great location
Beautiful property! We were here for 3 days with another couple. Having a nice large living room where we could all sit comfortably was perfect. So was the dining area. The kitchen has a full complement of dishes and pans. Coffee, tea, sugar, salt and pepper are included. The property is a short walk from the train station. (Note the streets and sidewalks make it more difficult to lug large suitcases - not a property issue) and easy walking distance to Uffizi and Academia. Bathrooms are supplied with shampoo, conditioner and soap. Be aware, stairs are included and some are steep. The owner uses essential oils which are quite fragrant, which for us, was really the only negative.

Nice Location in Florence
This was a very spacious spot easily able to accommodate 6 people comfortably. Nice modern furnishings and only a 10 minute or so walk to the train station. Everything you need is furnished and Matilda was a great host. Only drawback is the bedrooms are on the top level requiring 2 flights of stairs and 4 more steps to get to the bathroom from the bedroom & the master bedrooms bathroom has no shower or bath.

Spacious and elegant flat
This rental has plenty of space to spread out and relax. It’s well supplied with all kinds of amenities such as towels, extra TP, kitchen soaps, espresso pods, sugar, tea…really anything you need to feel at home. It was very clean and well maintained. We felt very secure in the building with the multi layers of security doors. Just be aware that there are stairs, two flights to the bedrooms. Overall, we loved this property and would recommend it to anyone. Matilda was very responsive to all communications. She even picked up our laundry and had it done for us when the washer was broken! Thank you Matilda!

We spent a wonderful week at Matildas splendid apartment. The Apartment is located next to Piazza della Indipendencia, just a few minutes walk away from Central Market and within walking distance to the duomo and the main attractions you want to see in Florence. After strolling around in vibrant Florence for several hours we always loved to return to this peaceful and tastefully equipped place, enjoying the aircondition and spaciousness as well as having some coffee and sweets or some pasta and wine (bought fresh pasta at Central Market!). Matilda, our host was always helpful in every respect as well as very quickly responding to all of our questions. She arranged, that our son and his fiancée who joined us and our daughter for a few days and arrived earlier, could already get into the appartment before we arrived and answered our questions throughout the whole stay very quickly. The Apartment is very clean and very well equipped in every respect. Beds are very comfortable (a really big one in the masterbedroom), showers work very well even high up under the roof. Stairs in the apartment were no problem for us but would be for handicapped people and might be for families with small children. We highly recommend this outstanding place to anyone who wants to enjoy a pleasant and relaxing stay in a tastefull surrounding in wonderful Florence.

Absolutely amazing home. Matilda checked us in and provided all the information we needed. The home is spacious and easily accommodated 6 of us. Very comfortable, air conditioned and everything we needed during our stay. Location is quiet but very accessible to all areas. Do not hesitate to stay here, it is worth it.

The apartment is clean and in a secure building, near the train station. Great coffee shop across the street for easy breakfast before you start your day. We were 5 adults - with plenty of room. We loved this apartment in a safe and easy area of Florence. The decor is just superb and the bedrooms are spacious and well appointed! There are a lot of stairs from living room to the 2 main bedrooms so beware if you have any difficulty climbing stairs without a handrail. We managed just fine and loved the beautiful interior!

Great place to stay. We walked to all the sites we wanted to see except to the Vatican. Location is very good and always good to have close access to groceris, transportation etc. The elevator was a big plus along with full size washer and dryer.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Matilda's beautiful apartment. The location was excellent. A 10 minute walk to many main attractions. Matilda was very responsive and accommodating. The apartment is very spacious with high quality appliances and furnishings. The washing and drying machines were a plus. We were impressed with the security system, which provided a safe entrance and exit. The apartment looks onto a private courtyard and was very quiet. Looking forward to a return trip in the future! Thank you for a lovely stay in your cozy apartment. The location was perfect. A 10 minute walk from the train station and the historic center, tons of delicious restaurants, supermarkets, bakeries, etc. in the neighborhood. The apartment was in the middle of Florence, but you could not hear any noise as it looks out on a courtyard and the beautiful hills of Florence. The beds were very comfy and the apartment had everything we needed. Matilda was so nice, greeting us and attending to all of our needs. We can only recommend this stunning place.

Just an amazing experience in Florence
Matilda was a lovely host and very attentive. We met her at the apartment and she took us on a tour of her beautiful and unique space. It really gives you a taste of being a local. I enjoyed my morning coffee in the dining area without disturbing the others sleep, and we all had our own space to rest between adventures in the city. We also found the separate laundry units very convenient. We are all very pleased with our time here and highly recommend.

Clean, well appointed and stocked. The only limitation was the inability of the washer and dryer to run simultaneously and the slippery stairs. It would have been a real time saver to have a house manual to provide guests with clear, step-by-step instructions and tell them where they can find important things, such where to place the garbage, adjust the air conditioner, access channels on the television, and checklist for closing the unit. Also it would have been helpful to provide electrical outlet converters for North American travellers. Overall, it was really a nice place, great location and happy that the air conditioner worked well.

Fabulous Apartment Close to Everything!
I was initially concerned when booking this apartment because the pictures were lovely but the price seemed low. This apartment is even more beautiful in person than can be explained through the photos. And it is a real bargain! The place was spotlessly clean, extremely safe (think James Bond entrance - with a sliding glass door) and in a prime location. There is a wonderful restaurant about 30’ down the sidewalk. The apartment has everything you could possibly need: nice linens, washer and dryer, glasses, plates, dishwasher. You name it, it was there! After a short walk from the train station, we met Matilda who took us around the apartment and showed us how to work everything. Our 18 year old son especially enjoyed the high end electronics. I seriously did not want to leave and wondered if she would consider selling it! Fabulous experience and we will stay there again next time we are in Florence! Thank you, Matilda, for sharing your lovely home with us!

PERFECT "Home Base" for Our Tuscany Adventure
The apartment is as lovely as the pictures portray. The close proximity to the train station, as well as the major attractions in Florence suited our needs perfectly. The amenities, like internet, washer/dryer, elevator, home theatre system, dishwasher and kitchenware were good quality and worked very well. What made our stay the "BEST" was Matilda, who owns this apartment. She greeted us warmly, showed us all the features of the apartment and how to use the electronics, appliances and air conditioning. Both before and during our visit, she was very prompt to respond to our questions. She clearly takes great pride in offering a clean, spacious, luxury apartment to her guests. We also greatly appreciated her attention to details like providing toiletries in the bathrooms and cleaning products in the kitchen and laundry room. We highly recommend this apartment and hope to return someday.

Very nice apt in perfect location for city. We had a bit of difficulty finding it due to the way addresses are done but called owner and she met us out front. Only down side is that the bath in the master suite is only a half bath, have to go downstairs to shower, but not the end of the world.

Everything as advertised. The whole apartment is tasteful decorated. Clean and well maintained. Beds are comfy and bed linens are in good quality. Location is perfect. Matilda was a wonderful hostess, greeting at the door and explaining all about our accommodation. Linens were very nice and beds really comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped, and we enjoyed several meals in the lovely dining room. Location was good for public transportation and to catch the hop on hop off tour bus. They are only a block away. Walk to city center is about 15 minutes and we had a grocery store, restaurants, pharmacy and gelato all within a 5 minute walk.
