'Lisa and Graham were outstanding hosts. Morven House is a hidden gem, which is hard as its one of the most prominent and historical buildings in Carnoustie. A must stay if you're in the area.'

'The hostess is a gem! The house is quaint and peaceful. Fabulous breakfast and I love the living room on the bottom floor.
Water pressure could be better, but that may just be an issue with the area so I wouldn't fault the propriator for that.
The twin mattress in the room was meant for a small child. It was not comfortable for a third adult, but the main mattress was great. Still five stars because the owner is so accommodating and the place is very nice. '

'Perfect accommodation for a few nights stay. Family owned and run. Check in was easy and when we enquired if room had a walk in shower we were changed to a room that did. Very friendly, attentive staff. Clean towels each day. Great bar meals, smaller portions available. Wonderful Guinness😍 highly recommend.'

Overall a very good stay would highly recommend a visit we will be back for sure. '

'The Woodlands is lovely. It's not a perfect hotel, some of the rooms need a spruce up and ours was directly above the kitchen so our bathroom smelled of cooking for much of the time, but it's a charming place with lots of character and lovely staff.'

Terrific and thoughtful appointments in the room. We checked in late evening and phoned ahead to advise of being delayed. Staff very gracious and accommodating.
Breakfast was fabulous. Good quality cereals, good range of hot food cooked to order. The mushroom omelette I ordered was the best omelette I've ever had. Sooo good with a light covering of grilled cheese on the top. '

'I really enjoyed my stay. Juveria, the owner, was lovely and couldn't be more accommodating. The location was perfect, quiet and peaceful. The window opened fully, which was a real bonus! Lots of buses into town but a lovely 10 minute walk, passing lots of independent shops en route. Very comfortable and clean. '

The beds are comfortable and the showers are nice.
The food selection is good for breakfast. We did not eat there for dinner, so I cannot speak to that.
