'The Vanguard in Ann Arbor went beyond my expectations! The room, lobby, restaurant and staff were exceptional! Our daughter was a student at U of M and we have stayed at many of the on-campus hotels throughout the years. The Vanguard is in a class of its own! I can't wait to stay there again!!! I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel to everyone!!!'

'They lie about the sizes of the beds. I was on a full mattress and they said it was a king. They said there would be a tub in my room. There’s no tub. The room was very small and dirty. There was no towels and when I would go to the front desk and ask for towels every single night they never had. I ended up having to buy towels from Walmart. I left them there so that they could wash them and give them to the next guest honestly.'

'I've stayed a few times and have always enjoyed coming back. The staff is great. The hotel itself is a little worn, but a complete remodeling is promised for this year. I will happily stay there again.'
