Anniversary vacation

Getting out of town and going to a beautiful, quiet cabin is exactly what we were looking for in a vacation. Day time woodsy views and night time starry views were perfect.

Beautiful Getaway

We loved staying in this cozy, beautiful cabin nestled in the pine trees. It was a quick drive to Willow Springs Lake and Woods Canyon Lake. The outdoor deck is phenomenal and we spent most of our time out there enjoying the weather and nature. We would stay here again and would recommend you do the same!

Family vacation

The property and communications with management were excellent. The space was great for a large family with lots to do in and around the cabin. A few things could have been a little cleaner, for our liking, but overall a great place that we highly recommend.

Great time for Dad's 70th

Took my Dad for his 70th birthday. The place was great and very relaxing. Close to fishing and tons of trails. We talked about coming back again next June/July.

Great Cabin Getaway

The cabin is super cozy and nestled in the Sitgreaves National Forest. Nice cathedral ceilings with a big view of the forest. Wrap around porch for relaxing was nice. Secluded and private. Seems the management company does not work on Fridays or Saturdays. Dishwasher was broke and lazy Susan cabinet was broken and you could not get things out of it. The bbq grill has seen better days and wound up charing the edges of food and not cooking the middle. Trash cans were full from the last guests.

Forest Lakes Cabin

We had a nice time at the cabin. The cabin is generally clean and a good location and has a nice yard. It has a nice wrap around patio and a nice hammock in the yard. Bring your own propane as there was none provided with the grill. It could very much use all new bedding. The sheets seemed clean, but the blankets were all very old (not in a good way) and had plainly not been washed for some time. There is also very little space in any closet or kitchen cabinets for the guest's belongings. All closets and kitchen cabinets are filled with old blankets and pillows and other owner belongings. I would stay there again, but would bring my own blankets.

Quiet Wooded Cabin Escape

Overall Rating: 3.8/5.0 We had two families with 4 adults and 4 children spend a three day holiday weekend in this comfortable two story, three bedroom cabin. Initial reservation for two nights and three people, property manager able to extend stay and increase party size no problem. Property manager responds quickly and offers direct cell#. Initial impression was positive. There is a cabin within close proximity, though the layout of this rental offers views and activities that are out of the way of the other property to the extent that you do not see or hear them. Evident that surfaces and counters had been cleaned. Minor noticeable dirt (pine needles and dust) from prior to our stay under tables and around living room though. As initial renter, would have expected a slightly cleaner living room/kitchen floor. Also surprised to find that the BBQ had not been cleaned. Contacted property manager and she admitted the oversight and apologized for the inconvenience. There is an item of note that is NOT DISCLOSED in the description until receiving your welcome packet, and another that we were not informed of until recognizing ourselves and inquiring about. The more bothersome of the two was that the French Doors pictured leading out to large deck and rear staircase do not open. After inquiring about a key, we were informed they are intentionally deadbolted to restrict use. Reportedly waiting for door adjustment parts, however in my opinion, that should have been something taken care of prior to listing and is a major downgrade not having the direct access to sitting deck and having to walk around to connecting deck from front door. More concerning is that it can be considered a fire hazard in event there are no other accessible means of egress. You are informed also to dispose of trash yourself in the welcome packet. We were able to leave our minimal amount for property manager to dispose of afterwards. If you have multiple day stay and several bags, you will need to factor that in. Bedrooms were nice, comfortable, and all had a bunk bed per room (6 mattresses total and a futon upstairs). Yard was enjoyable for kids with a teeter totter, tree house, and a tetherball. Overall our stay was relaxing and enjoyable but there are some noticeable imperfections as noted above and room for some improvements that I would expect the property manager to note, consider, and remedy. We would recommend for families of five to eight people.

Beautiful but needs a bit of attention

We enjoyed our stay except for the junk beds. Need to put a regular bed back on for adults. Kitchen needed to be clean. Other then that, would recommend this listing.

Beautiful cabin reminiscent of our family home in Poland on the lake

The cabin was gorgeous. It reminded us of our family's home in Northeastern Poland in the Mazury lake district. The style and décor is very similar. The attention to detail with the build and décor here was above and beyond what we expected. My Mom and Aunt loved it! Very peaceful with lots of wildlife and not too far from the lake. The management company was very responsive to our needs. We look forward to staying again.

Great fun at very nice cabin.

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was very lovely. We had 7 people and 1 dog for 10 nights. Our two granddaughters really enjoyed all the cabin's kid features (tree house, teeter-totter, hammock, and hide out). We fished and went on horseback rides and also went up to see the meteor crater. I have no real complaints (internet was a bit slow for streaming movies at times ). The cabin had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable. I like that it was more remote than most cabins we have stayed at. Forest Lakes is great location as it is close to Willow Springs Lake where we love to go fishing. Will definitely stay here again if available.
