When we checked in our cards were showing as not accepted for some reason. We are from Canada but have never had issues. After the first couple cards didn’t work, the front desk staff should have realized it was a system problem and contacted the vendor or the point of sale system to rectify. Instead, we were left to keep trying different cards until my sister’s (from Thailand) worked. Afterwards, we noticed that all the other cards we tried were charged (4). The manager the next morning told us the charges would magically go away but would not provide us anything in writing to prove it. The lack of effort to solve the problem that was clearly a system problem, not ours, was frustrating and embarrassing as others in the lobby were seeing our cards being declined. Please make an effort to problem solve rather than just hope things fix themselves. If we left without him calling the vendor, we would have nothing to prove that we shouldn’t have been charged if we wanted to dispute the charges later. Was a bad experience that could have been avoided if someone had attempted to problem solve.
