Petit hôtel très basique, mais directement sur la plage. Pas de déjeuner, mais situé sur le boardwalk près de plusieurs restaurants. Abordable comparé les autres hôtels autour. Notre chambre avait deux lits double, un frigo, micro-ondes et cafetière. Les chaises et parasol sont à même la chambre vous êtes certains de toujours avoir votre place sur la plage!

husbands wallet stolen FROM OUR ROOM while we stepped out for breakfast.Police was called. I insisted on going up with a friend while maid checked the room, which had already been moved into. While taking the elevator back down another employee was in the elevator and the maid asked her what she was doing and she sarcastically said "helping you look for the wallet" and rolled her eyes. I held my cool for about 3 seconds and said that i didnt appreciate her making a joke about it. His ID. Cash, credit cards were all in his wallet and we were leaving the next day for a cruise. The first girl told me that was the third "lost" wallet that week. The wallet was there when we left, but gone when we got back from breakfast. Front desk wouldn't show the camera that was pointed towards our room during the time frame we and the officer asked for, she said we were being rude and didnt appreciate it. She showed it for 15 mins AFTER the time we needed to see. Officer defended us stating we actually were NOT being rude, we were upset because all husbands stuff was missing. We knew the time frame and she wouldnt show us the camera. No warrent so we couldnt push that. The manager was called and (i heard this too because we were right beside the officer while he spoke to her) she told him she didnt know what the big deal was, we could just get new cards and ID. This was our third time of staying here but i have never felt more betrayed or violated by a staff as i have from this staff.

Hi Denise,Though we do not typically reply to guest reviews, the above review merits a response due to its inaccuracies. The Sheldon Hotel has cameras in its hallways and safe boxes in each room. Over the hotel’s decades of operations, there has never previously been a report of theft, and we take such reports very seriously. Upon a thorough investigation, we have determined the facts are as follows. You checked out of the hotel in the early hours of the mornings. Four hours later, after the room had been cleaned and disinfected and after a new guest had checked into the room, you came into the hotel aggressively accusing staff of theft. The staff requested the new guest allow you as well as the cleaning team back into the room to look for the wallet. The guest allowed you in, and you looked around two times, and found the wallet was not there. When you threatened with calling the police, the front desk staff member explained you should do so, and patiently waited with you for them to arrive. With the officer present, you looked at the cameras for the period you requested and found no unauthorized individuals had entered your room between the time you checked out, and when you came back. We are sorry you misplaced your wallet but can assure you it was not stolen by our staff at our property.

first off, great location and friendly staff. The young lady moved me from the rear of the building on the second floor to one with a great view of the beach and ocean on the 3rd (remember this statement 😂) The biggest issue I had was timing and the age of the building. I happen to arrive when there was work on the elevator and the room across from mine. I had to stair it. And since I was upgraded to the 3rd floor….And they were upgrading the room across from me The second issue was the toilet. The bathroom was clean and staff puts a seal on the toilet but they probably didn't flush it a couple of times. The first time I flush it, it backed up from either the previous tenant or the plumbing in general. There was nobody to contact in the evening and by the time I informed the desk in the AM, I was checking out. So I was unable to use the toilet the time I was there. The shower was also a little wonky. Otherwise, for the price it was a nice place to stay.

The hotel had a horrible musty/moldy smell. The deluxe room was right next to a bar which was super loud and noisy. This place should be called a motel not hotel

Nice older property right on the beach that has been remodeled. Location is fabulous right in the middle of restaurants, bars & shops on the boardwalk.

The hotel was very clean. The room I got was right next to a storage closet that was opened several times early Sunday morning 😣. Walking right to the boardwalk was awesome. Parking was a bit of a mission because of some event but the staff was quick to fix the issue 🙌.

Absolutely everything was perfect except the parking. Parking became a headache. Recommendation is to arrive by Uber, Lyft or Taxi. This way you will fully enjoy the facilities and its excellent location.

Sheldon Hotel was smaller than looks in picture, needs counter space in bathroom, needs a long mirror, needs to clean doors and walls in bathroom especially. Had no where to set my curling iron down on. Also, the blow dryer did not dry hair due to blowing out cool air with being on high.

This is a very simple, small hotel yet there is nothing else You need being at a place where You spend most of Your time on a beach or boardwalk…we stayed on a 3rd floor in a completely remodeled room. (If you can choose pick the 3rd floor) , the room is small but has a walk in closet and decent bathroom..the hotel is very clean, the maintenance and housekeeping are working around the clock. Whenever I asked for towels got them in less than 2 minutes. The reception is very friendly and accommodating, at night there is a security in the lobby. I can’t say enough nice things about how nice all the employees were. The room has an umbrella & 2 beach chairs, the lobby has fresh beach towels. The beach us few feet away..all the shops/restaurants/bars are right there..again no pool no amenities per say but a safe and very clean place to stat at the beach. Definitely recommend it.

had a great stay at the Sheldon. room was clean and staff was very friendly and super helpful. arrived in the morning knowing check in was 4pm and they allowed us to store our bags and washroom to change and towels and headed to the beach and called when the room was ready. same after checkout as well. 2 beach chairs in the room was perfect.

An old building but with nice renno although all tile throughout and thin doors with space underneath and thin walls makes it very noisy. The noise begins at 9 o’clock with the housekeeping, staff outside the door with their buckets and mops and talking. There is a lot of noise from the restaurants below as well. Can’t beat the location though steps to the beach and restaurants everywhere… No need to rent a car. I just ubered to a grocery store one time. Two chairs, and an umbrella in each room. That you have to take the beach yourself every day. No pool. The bathroom is very nice but the soap disintegrates very quickly in the soap dish.

Very good location right on the Broadwalk. Shopping and restaurants very close to hotel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We attended a free concert at the Hollywood Beach Amphitheater. Property is older but pretty well maintained. We had an Oceanfront front room which was nice but we did have some noise from the Broadwalk as we were just one story up.

Very clean! Really enjoy that the housekeeping staff prefers the use of brooms & dustpans in the morning (instead of noisy vacuum cleaners). Very quiet in hallways—which allows you to sleep in in the morning!

We liked the central location of this property. Plenty of places within walking distance to eat at any time of the day. The rooms were small but had everything we needed for a good nights sleep. Its not your typical hotel and we enjoyed that! The beach chairs and umbrella that were in the room were a nice perk!

Great Location! In the most active area of Hollywood Beach. Great staff! Twenty four hours desk/security in the lobby. Convenient parking. Very clean facility. Remodeled rooms. Two beach chairs and a umbrella in every room. Also in room safe. The best is the sliding glass doors to the boardwalk & beach. Room prices much less than franchise hotels on the boardwalk.

Loved my stay here! Only thing is the check in time and check out time. I completely understand it was spring break. But when you get off the plane at 930am and cant check in till 400pm after traveling all day its exhausting.

The bed is not comfortable! The hotel is too closed to the restaurants & shops where the latino music is too loud all night & late morning every days. Lots of people stay up talking very loud until 2-3 am. It’s hard to sleep! The lobby had no restroom, you need to go back in your room to use it! The best thing is the coffee at the lobby, you can have it anytime. The lobby also stay open all night which is very safe!

Recently stayed at the Hotel Sheldon and had a great experience. We Got to the hotel early, our room wasn’t ready but the staff was very nice and gave us a parking pass, which was included in our reservation directed us to the lot which was less then a block away. After we parked they let us use some beach chairs, towels and an umbrella. The staff took down our phone number and called us about an hour later to let us know our room was ready. The room was updated and had a small walk in closet with a safe, a mini kitchen with a microwave, mini fridge and coffee machine. There were also beach chairs and an umbrella in the room to use. The bathroom was updated and very clean. We did not get an ocean view room, but still had a nice view of the intercoastal and A1A from our third floor window The location is excellent, right on the Hollywood boardwalk, just steps from the beach, next door to Margaritaville and walking distance to a number of other restaurants and shops. I’ve stayed at two other Hollywood boardwalk hotels recently and each charged additional fees for parking and beach chair rentals, one even had a secret resort fee. This is the best hotel I’ve stayed at in Hollywood and I will definitely stay there again. Thank you Hotel management and staff!

My stay at the Sheldon was great! Can’t beat the location-it’s right on the beautiful boardwalk of Hollywood Beach. There are loads of dining options and the room came with two beach chairs and an umbrella so you don’t have to rent these items! The hotel is right in between Ft. Lauderdale and Miami, so you have access to both cities. Tue one critique I have is that there was little to no ventilation in the room. There’s was ample AC, but when the AC was off, the air did not circulate.

We walked right out the door to the several miles of beachside restaurants, stores and hotels that comprise the Broadwalk. Fabulous beach view from our room. Our room was cleaned daily and absolutely pristine. Two chairs and an umbrella came with the room which meant we could sit On the beach as late or early as we liked and no charge! Weather stunning. Staff welcoming and accomodating. Older building but well kept. Great value as you are not paying for a fancy lobby but the beach is your go to hang out!
