DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY. This was the worst rental experience I have encountered. The listing is severely misrepresented, poorly maintained, and managed in a way that became unsafe and intimidating once issues were reported. The home was dirty and poorly furnished, with thrifted and visibly dirty dishes, only three pans provided, and no basic cooking tools. I had to buy a spatula just to cook. There were hundreds of ants throughout the home, requiring me to purchase my own preventative spray. A cracked, non-working television was left mounted in the primary bedroom. Reclining couches did not function, chairs were stained and dirty, ceiling fans were improperly installed and unsafe, and the stove had only two working knobs. The washing machine was very old, leaked during use, and was inoperable. Advertised amenities were misleading: the property is not authorized by the HOA for short-term rental, and the advertised pool and gym were not accessible due to unpaid HOA fees. When I requested repairs, the host blamed me for the washer despite no technician being sent. After I reported unsafe conditions and illegal rental to Vrbo, the host retaliated by adding a 200 “air conditioning” charge with no evidence, threatened to shut off electricity, and attempted to intimidate me. The host then canceled my reservation after editing house rules post-booking. Severe misrepresentation, unsafe conditions, and retaliation occurred. Do not book with this host.
