Vriendelijk personeel. Op de foto krijg je echter een heel ander beeld van het hotel dan dat het daadwerkelijk is. Wij dachten aan een kasteelachtige chique omgeving, maar het is verre van dat. De prijs kwaliteit verhouding is dan ook niet best. Kamer te duur voor dit verouderd hotel.

Vergane glorie
Oud vervallen hotel, niet alleen de kamers maar ook de algemene ruimtes. Restaurant is niet veel beter, ontbijt was prima was trouwens ook de enige zaal die er nog een beetje netjes uitzag. Personeel is ook niet vriendelijk op 1 uitzondering na.

Whilst it has some minor upgrade/ maintainance work in progress it didnt impact on our stay. The continuous flashing light in the hall outside our room overnight was annoying though! Either dicky electrics or haunted ! ( cant vouch for either being the case!) Fabulous accomodating staff, rooms were clean and well presented , more outdated than some places but quirky charm . Just off the town green parade area, well appointed next to train station and short walk from ferry landing ( well worth a short trip across the loch . Good selection of shops and eateries nearby.wouls return and reccomend

The room condition is clearly old and worn off especially for the toilet. It’s clean though. The hotel needs a renovation to bring the client experience to the next higher level.

Old building, charming, but way too expensive for what we got. Walls are thin, you can hear your neighbors voices no problem. Floors are squeeky and creaky so you hear your above neighbors walking around. Our room has peeling wallpaper and some small stains on the decorative bedding. The beds were awful. I've never been so stiff after a night at a hotel. Staff was really warm and friendly.

Alexandra's is a charming building with quaint scottish carpet throughout, the staff work hard to make it a lovely place in spite of its age and wear. Breakfast was good. Our room was quite warm but the staff brought a fan. A complaint is the bed was very dippy in the middle making it an uncomfortable night.

Exceptionally well located for railborne arrivals, though the main road is something of an obstacle. The building has been much expanded, to its architectural detriment; once through the revolving door it feels serviceable rather than grand. The welcome is warm; the management professional.

Thread bare carpets and upholstery. Save your money and go stay in the travel lodge. Staff were nice and friendly and it was clean.

The property maybe a little tired but my room was clean and comfortable, the staff very friendly and the breakfast was very good. I've stayed here before and will happily do so again

Love the idea of old world hotel but it really was a bit tired - frayed carpets etc.

My one complaint is regarding the walk-in showers, as I am an older person these are great, but my complaint is that they could do with a support handle within the shower, this is particularly good for those of us who are a little unsteady on our feet.

Nice and quiet hotel, friendly staff, lovely food. Room smelled a bit weird but bedding etc was nice, clean and comfy. Still a noise outside window with generator but nothing crazy. I will certainly go back.

We found the hotel so friendly and the staff were great. I think they went over and above to make us feel at home and it worked 😀 The hotel is very central. Loved the old style of the hotel

This was my 2nd stay at this hotel. I booked into a single room which was small but expected and very clean, comfortable and quite adequate for my needs. The bathroom was spacious and everything was very clean. Breakfast was very good. The Bistro at the hotel also offers excellent dining for dinner and there are other wonderful restaurants and pubs within walking distance as well. The hotel is situated at the end of the High Street so there is plenty of shopping and it is DIRECTLY across the street from the train station so it is incredibly convenient. That was my original reason for booking the 1st time as I needed to be within walking distance of the train and I have been absolutely satisfied with these accommodations. I would happily stay here again.
