The unexpected guest.
I booked online for the same day. When I arrived the said there were no rooms. The owner checked my reservation and made up a room for me anyway. There was a lovely cold breakfast buffet and the hosts were friendly.

Charles and Katerina were gracious hosts, a great location, ample parking and a very comfortable room and ensuite, breakfast was an incredible choice of hot and continental food for such a small establishment and we will be back and certainly would recommend

Lovely large house very well maintained ,easy to find. The host was very welcoming on arrival. Give us a small tour of the ground floor (breakfast room ) and instructions for the front door . Our room was upstairs at the front overlooking the water and mountain. Very large room and clean.

The hosts were very nice people but I found the China dolls on each floor Abit creepy also asked to leave cases which we could, but when we returned to collect the case, we asked if they could call us a taxi to go to train station but just gave us a card to call from outside in the rain which I felt was a but harsh after a 2 night stay

Great getaway!
Clean and comfortable....we felt so relaxed here. It is close to town, so easy walking distance to local shops and restaurants. Charles is a wealth of information about all the things to do in the area. I highly recommend this property!

Our host, Charles, was outstanding and very helpful to point out the sites and nearby restaurants. The breakfast was excellent with many choices. Definitely the best breakfast I’ve had at a B & B type accommodation.

Great location and view overlooking Loch Linnhe. Ben Nevis, Jacobite train, Loch Linnhe cruise, just a few of the many things to do. Excellent Guest house, plentiful continental breakfast with scrambled eggs and smoked salmon an added option. Thoroughly enjoyed and recommended.

Lovely bloke, questionable service
The owner is a lovely bloke full of stories and info. The views are also incredible. We had some issues though as we couldn't get in our room til 5.30pm, scrambled eggs on toast took an hour in the morning and despite saying I'm vegetarian several times I was given salmon which was then picked off and handed back to me with some salmon left on the plate. The owner is so friendly it wasn't too much of an issue at the time but being vegetarian in Scotland is just a growing frustration with their lack of choices and understanding and this was another issue to endure. We had just done the West Highland Way which is a 96 mile hike and I had just done Ben Nevis afterwards so my legs and feet were in a bad way. Despite this we couldn't store our bags for a few hours after checking out despite there being plenty of rooms empty. We paid £130 a night and didn't even have breakfast on the 2nd night so I was disappointed by this. The location was good though as it's near the town and the views are really great. The rooms and beds are quite small though. If it wasn't for the location I'd say the price should be half what it is and then it'd all be acceptable. This price is really high though which means I'd expect something of a high standard. If the owner just had someone running the place he'd be a fantastic front of house and good company for guests.

Fort William Stop
Lovely guest house a few minutes walk from the centre of Fort William along the banks of Loch Linnhe. Our room was fantastic, comfy bed, huge shower and a jet bath for soaking away the aches of a day walking :) Breakfast was good, lots of choice of cereals, pastries etc, and the option of a hot dish of scrambled eggs with smoked salmon.. all very tasty.. oh and not to forget the super yogurt with fruit. Charles the owner was the ultimate host, always available to help out any way he could. All in all an excellent place to stay.

Amazing views of the loch and quick to access local amenities. The guest house is of a more vintage style and the host is particularly helpful in local knowledge, however can be a little over-friendly at times, especially for those looking for a quick place to lay your head in between exploring Scotland. Fresh smoked salmon at breakfast is a lovely way to start the day, however the rest of the breakfast offering isn't particularly fresh.

Esse lugar é realmente incrível e todo o carinho de Charles e Katarina em cuidar de seus hóspedes pode ser sentido por nós. O horário de check in é de 16 as 19 mas chegamos na cidade por volta de 13:30 e queríamos parar o carro. Como não sabia se poderia deixar ali toquei a campanha e fomos atendidos por Charles que apesar de os quartos não estarem ainda prontos foi extremamente simpático, nos deu dicas de restaurantes, passeios e mapas. Ali ja reparamos que a casa por fora é extremamente bem cuidada, jardins e estátuas lindos, tudo no seu devido lugar. Fomos andando almoçar já que a casa é super perto do centro. Retornamos as 16 e fomos novamente calorosamente recebidos por Charles que nos mostrou toda a casa e apresentou nosso quarto sem poupar esforços em dar todas as informações, inclusive quanto a passeios na região. Nosso quarto era o número 4 e era enorme, cama king, closet e banheiro com pia dupla e banheira. Novos mimos foram vistos no quarto que tinha água, café, chá, chocolates e biscoitos nos aguardando. No banheiro tudo que se pode precisar estava disponível (shampoo, condicionador, sabonete, lenços demaquilante, cotonete, algodão, espuma pra banheira, etc) além de ótimas e grandes toalhas. A cama era ótima e a roupa de cama de ótima qualidade. A limpeza impecável. Tivemos uma ótima noite de sono, a propriedade é muito tranquila e confortável. Café da manhã excelente! Voltaria com certeza! Parabéns ao Charles e a katarina por tanto carinho em receber!

Fantastic, comfortable stay at Westcourt
Adore this B&B - if only I found them sooner! Charles and Katarina were fantastic hosts - warm, welcoming, and easy to converse with. The room I stayed in at Westcourt B&B was spacious, with fantastic furnishings (adore the hairy coo and stag cushions!), a comfortable bed with high thread count covers. The bathroom was so clean, and I had a great bath with the bubble bath foam provided. The room had a great view of the loch as well. Charles kindly recommended us to eateries around Fort William when we checked in, and kindly gave us a tour of the house. Breakfast cooked by Katarina was wholesome and delicious. Highly recommend staying at Westcourt! Thank you for your warm hospitality, and the amazing stay.

The owners Charles and Katarina were very welcoming and helpful hosts and made us feel very welcome, we had a lovely room with a huge bathroom. It was good that we were able to sit outside and take in the fantastic view. Excellent breakfast and would definitely recommend to other guests.

The ideal quality Fort William base
We wanted high quality accommodation for before and after our ascent of Ben Nevis and the Westcourt certainly didn’t disappoint. Room number 4 was excellent with a large spacious bathroom and bath. The bed was the most comfortable we’d slept in during our trip. Charles and Katerina were attentive and welcoming hosts. We loved our stay and would recommend this place to anyone staying in the area. If you like a bit of quality, you will love this place.
