'Clean room, lovely gym '

'Breakfast is terrible, recommend not spending money on that. We were placed in a room immediately siding onto construction, woke up at 7:45 to a ton of noise right outside our room and immediately behind the wall our beds were pushed up against. Staff were very unhelpful, one staff member was kind enough to apologize, but then explained that this room wasnt supposed to be rented due to noise, but they had opened it up as the hotel started to fill up. 'Awe, no breakfast in the am. They used to have it but now, no more. Nice quiet place to sleep despite ambalance sirens going off in the wee hours. Overall, nice place to sleep.'

'Overall our stay was good. The rooms were clean and comfortable, check in and out was easy and the hotel itself is nice. Only complaints were that the shower would fluctuate between hot and cold even when set at the hottest setting and the parkade could use some serious work. It was super close to the attractions we went to like Thermea and the theatre which was nice.'

'Vahid and No. 5 east are just a sheer delight! The house is lovely, breakfast was great, and Vahid is so welcoming and cheerful. Only minor complaint is that, in the winter, if you aren't in a car, the nearest restaurants and shops are a bit of a walk, especially if it's winter.'

'We normally stay at the older Sandman, but decided to splurge and try the Sandman Signature for three nights for my husband’s birthday weekend. Unfortunately, the stay didn’t live up to the price. The rooms were clean and the staff were friendly both at check-in and check-out. When we mentioned our concerns at checkout, they said they would pass them along to the manager, which we appreciated. 'Our plane was delayed and we didn’t arrive in Winnipeg until 3AM a quick call to the front desk and a very nice friendly driver showed up in 10 minutes in a warm shuttle. He dropped us off at the hotel. The front desk clerk was equally as friendly. We were in our room before 3:30 We could not ask for any better service '

'We had a short wait for the shuttle from the airport. Front desk staff were friendly and efficient. Room was spotless. Breakfast was absolutely amazing- great selection, fresh, really nice staff and very well maintained. Unfortunately, the only drawback- the pool was down for renovations. Since that was a key reason for choosing the Holiday Inn Express it was “a bummer”. In all other areas great place to stay. '
