The river is a popular spot for boating and fishing, and there are opportunities to take a boat trip or hire kayaks / SUPs moments from the house. The river is also home to a wide variety of birdlife, including egrets, kingfishers and herons. There is a small, 13th-century church dedicated to St Sampson, which is worth a visit and a village pub, popular with both locals and visitors. This property is perfectly located for days out at the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan.
