'This was our second year here, due to the friendliness of the staff, the comfort of the room, the quality of the food and the location. You can do as much or as little as you like using this as a base. We just love the ambience of the whole area. We did trips by car, train, boat, bus as well as feet. Would visit again. 'We had a lovely stay at Trenython Manor. The Hotel and grounds were great for our family stay. We were emailed prior to our stay and advised to book in a time slot for swimming, as all swimming and gym sessions must be pre-booked. The hotel is grand and traditional. All staff we came across were friendly and helpful. We had a family room in the hotel, which was spacious and clean. 'This gets a top rating due to the service & hospitality. The hosts are ultra welcoming and friendly. And gave me some great tips on places to visit, including nearby scenic walks. Plus Simon cooks a top English breakfast and Paula does a great job of keeping the place in order. They allow dogs, although best to check with them before booking to make sure they will get on with their dogs ok. The nearby road is noisy early morning, but only if you keep the window fully open.'

'The view is great. Apart from that, it looks “quirky but cute” online but in reality it’s just awkward and uncomfortable. The ceilings are low and sloped. The bunk beds are not suitable for teenagers do to the low ceiling and the mattresses are very uncomfortable. You have to walk through the main bedroom to get to the bunk room. The floors are uneven and there is an odd 1 inch step between the rooms which is just a trip hazard. The bathroom is clean but sparse, not even a box of tissues....

'Obwohl wir ein anderes Zimmer gebucht hatten, bekamen wir ein Barriere freies Rollstuhl Zimmer und Bad. Dort wurde bestimmt seit zwanzig Jahren nichts mehr erneuert. Der Geruch war fürchterlich. Da half auch der eingeschaltete Ventilator nichts. Das Hotel war überhaupt sehr alt und Renovierungsarbeiten bedürftig.'
