Zand, Water, Herinneringen ... Deze unieke eigenschap beschikt over 100 + voeten direct waterfront op Lower Herring Lake met toegang tot Lake Michigan, PLUS 428 voet op Herring Creek. Prive pier w boot lift. Tijdens de lente en de herfst, zal het gezin genieten van het kijken naar de stalen kop en zalm zwemmen in Herring Creek vanaf uw eigen terras met uitzicht op het water. Om de plezier te verdubbelen, zullen ze ook genieten van hun eigen privéstrand aan het meer - het beste van beide werelden.

Comfortabel, zorgvuldig onderhouden en praktisch, met een overvloed aan ramen die het uitzicht op de rivier, het meer en de natuurlijke landschapsarchitectuur voor u brengen. Binnen in het huis is de slaapkamer voorzien van een poplairvloer, een eigen badkamer, een inloopkast, een kershouten toilettafel en een eigen balkon met uitzicht op de onderstaande wateren. Het hoofdniveau heeft een woonkamer met tegelvloer met straling in de vloer, een ruime zithoek en een eethoek. Uit de woonkamer is de open keuken met veel kast en tegenruimte. De familiekamer heeft een open haard met houten insert en meer ruimte om te ontspannen. Beide kamers hebben glazen schuifdeuren die toegang bieden tot het grote omsloten terras met uitzicht op zowel de rivier als het meer. spiraalvormige trap naar boven.

This is a great place to have your privacy and personal beach, and still be 10 minutes from everything you need and want to do. The owner was very responsive and replied immediately when we asked a few questions. Steelhead were swimming up the stream right beside the deck and you could watch them. I would definitely stay here again.

Creek/lake getaway!

Beautiful house! right on the creek! With the view of the lake! It's hard to beat the sound of the creek and the view of the lake. Short boat ride to Lake Michigan is also pretty cool! We loved the heated floors in the living room to!

Stunning lake house for the whole family!

I stayed in this beautiful property with my husband, 2 month old, mom, and brother. There was plenty of room for us to spread out and have our own space, in addition to cozy shared spaces to spend time together. The photos of the house, yard, and lake don’t do it justice. The kitchen is spacious and beautifully updated, and the living rooms are tranquil with large windows looking out into the yard. The backyard has lots of great furniture to lounge on, beautiful flowers and landscaping, and of course the calming presence of the stream and lake. We enjoyed grilling out and using the paddle boards and kayaks, and having campfires by the lakeshore. The property is also a short drive to Frankfort, with plenty of great restaurants and shops. We highly recommend this home to other families, and will definitely be back ourselves!

Perfect location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The flowers lining the yard to the water were beautiful, smelled delightful and attracted hummingbirds that were fun to see. Every person powered watercraft was available for our use. We enjoyed fishing from the kayaks as well as kayaking over to Lake Michigan. The side porch was a perfect place to sit and read a book with the soothing sound of flowing water. The inside was spotless and had everything you might need. The beds were incredibly comfortable. (I have NEVER said that in a rental review!) It is a great home base for golfing and hiking. Really though you could just spend the week without leaving. It's private, peaceful and a terrific spot to spend some quality family time. If you must work, the wifi is good and strong for that while others are gaming. If you have the opportunity to find an open week, book it. You will not regret it. Thanks, Mike! We hope to be back.

Perfect spot in the benzine county area

Access to Lake Michigan and local breweries and distilleries was perfect. Remote yet close enough to bear lake, elberta and frankfurt. Great accessible place for a wheelchair (brought a few ramps and track chair for beach access). Got pontoon for the week so enjoyed the lake but paddled as well. Place was clean and lots of beds for family that stopped in for a few days! Love the kitchen!

A place to relax and explore

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lake house. There are many reasons for that and here are a few. The house was well furnished including spices, cooking utensils, bikes, watercraft, a pound of coffee, plastic wrap, all the little things that most houses don't bother to supply. The living space above the garage was perfect for our teenage son. This property was well set up for a larger group with many places to congregate. It had 3 different outdoor areas and 3 indoor areas. The lake wasn't over developed and a kayaking trip to lake Michigan via the inlet is a must. The town of Frankfort was just down the road with it's beautiful beach, restaurants and shopping. Nearby hiking that lead to beautiful and secluded beach. The host was fantastic to work with; he made the checking in and out process so easy; he supplied a lot of information about the region and what it had to offer, which led us to the best cherry pies. I am sure we will return to this property in the future.

Great Family Vacation

Highly recommended. Location - next to a river and facing Lower Herring Lake very unique. Lots of wildlife viewing, close to multiple awesome hiking trails, quiet and peaceful. House - spotless, high quality comfortable furnishings and appliances, lots of room (we had 6 adults ands and 2 dogs). Ammenities - something for everyone from high quality ping pong during the evenings/rainy times, bikes, kayaks, SUP's, large selection of games/books. Unique & beautiful property with tones of amenities!

Property has a very unique features with landscape that includes both a river and a lake with great sunsets and foliage that attracts tons of butterflies and hummingbirds. Property has nice kayaks, canoe, row boat, dock for your pontoon, and a boat launch right next to the house. House and loft over garage are excellent for large groups and finishes are top notch. Host is excellent and on our stay quickly addressed issues from the previous tenant. Great stay and planning on coming back again.

Perfect Place

This home is beautiful. The decor is cute and charming.The kitchen is large and updated. Also has new appliances. The cottage had plenty of room for everyone in including a wheelchair. The views are beautiful. To have a lake and creek next to the cottage was great. There are butterfly bushes that line both sides of the property. The most butterflies I have ever seen. There were plenty of canoes and kayaks. Kayaking a cross the lake to Lake Michigan is a must. Absolutely beautiful. The amenities are too numerous to list. This place has everything you need. We will definitely book this place again. Our host Mike is great and easy to work with. Like I said this place is perfect. We loved it and enjoyed our week. 9-13 to 9-24-22. Fall Family Gathering

What a find! I feel like we won the lottery finding A River Runs Through It on Lower Herring Lake near Frankfort, MI. The house, loft and recent upgrades were amazing! The owner was very responsive and has removable ramps to make the house wheelchair accessible. The views of the lake, with its own private beach the sounds of the river and surrounding wildlife were exactly what we needed. Frankfort and other nearby towns offered a variety of options for eating out, shopping and exploring the trails. Modern conveniences surrounded by the wonder of nature. Something for everyone! A great place to make memories!

Plenty of sitting places outside and in for groups. Water is nice and clear. Sandy beach but shores are stoney so bring water shoes; it is shallow quiet a ways out so great for kids. Very nice nature setting by river. Phone service is spotty but Mike is as responsive as possible. Close drive to Frankfort.

Old friends great stories perfect setting

Tank you SO much for wanting to share this peice of paradise with others, with us!! I am very particular with cleanliness and comfort level.. it is normal it takes me more than a night or two to get acquainted. I fell in love with this location and home.. best way to describe it is "your staying at an old friends home, who has had wonderful adventure and stories to share in what they have collected" Beds comfortable, so many ways to enjoy this home and so much provided!!! Kayaks, bikes, a steam on the side of the home.. beautiful views of the lake. Tons of beautiful hikes in the area!! Short distance to so many wonderful towns and experiences. This is a must return!!

Great Getaway

The cottage was exactly what we needed to enjoy our covid getaway. Mother Nature did not cooperate, our stay was abnormally rainy and cold, but you could not find a better place to enjoy nature's beauty in adverse weather. Family Getaway

We ran away from home for a week and invited our kids and grandkids to join us. We enjoyed the first two days with our son and grandson. The day they left three of our daughters joined us. Location of the property as great. We ventured down to Silver Lake to enjoy the dunes and explored several small lake side towns to the north of us the rest of the week. The house was wonderful. Our girls loved that you had an Insta-Pot for them to use during our stay. The many kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards were enjoyed by several of our kids. Relaxing Lake Home

The River Runs Through house is well equipped for a great get away. So many fun toys for fun on the lake: kayaks, paddle boards, canoe and small sailboat. Great sight seeing off the lake. Frankfort is a cute town with several dining choices. We chose to eat in and grilled. Local grocery store is well supplied.

Great stay at the lake

Our family extended family of 7 really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and welcoming. Really enjoyed the lake and the kayaks. Along with all the access to outdoor activities and the town of Frankfort. A great trip all around.

Perfect stay!

Wonderful location and clean, comfortable house with so many amenities. Loved being able to wake up and kayak out to lake Michigan. Comfortable beds, kitchen has everything. Owner is very responsive and has great ideas for things to do in the area. Kids loved it as much as we did!

Salmon fishing trip

Fishing was slow this week and there was a lot of rain It’s been a lot of time indoors this place is perfect for that lots of room very nice and comfortable all the beds were awesome very nice place will definitely be back

Great getaway

Property was lovely and host had great communication. House/property had everything you need for a nice stay. Lower Herring Lake was sometimes a little rough for swimming on windy days, so it was great to have the creek for swimming too.
