De blokhut | Charmante Country Cabin

Dit is de plek om te zijn voor een echt rustig, vredig, weg-van-het-allemaal verblijf. Deze gereconstrueerde blokhut ligt midden in de hectare van prachtig bewaard gebleven velden. Het heeft een aantal bomen eromheen - en het dichtstbijzijnde huis is dat van de gastheren. Een veranda aan de voorkant heeft een schommel om te genieten als u over de visvijver kijkt. Een achterste veranda dekt de korte wandeling (ongeveer 10 voet) naar de kleine blokhut die de badkamer is. Er is een prachtige antieke voet bad (geen douche) om een luxe genieten te bieden. (Warmte en lucht ook !!)

De restauratie op deze blokhut is uitstekend met de logs die op de binnen- en buitenmuren worden blootgesteld. De hoofdcabine is een grote kamer met woonkamer en een kleine keuken die uniek is ontworpen om de antieke meubels te complimenteren. De open haard is het middelpunt van de kamer en kan vanaf het hok gezien worden. Echt een romantische setting! Een ladderachtige trap leidt naar de slaapzolder met een tweepersoonsbed en een eenpersoonsbed met dekbedovertrekken en een grote oude stam.

Het continentale ontbijt inclusief gebakjes uit lokale bakkerijen wordt in uw keuken gelaten, zodat u kunt genieten wanneer u dat wenst. Zitten op de ronde tafel met 's ochtends koffie en gebakjes, kijken naar het vuur of kijken naar het raam bij de vijver, is een ontspannende manier om de dag te beginnen. De woonkamer heeft een queensize bed. Er is ook een antieke bank en een tv.

Perfect Getaway

My (now) husband and I came here for a short honeymoon getaway! This little house is absolutely a perfect place to be able to sit back and enjoy nature. Cattle, deer, ducks, foxes, you name it! We got up early every morning to enjoy the beautiful sunrise with coffee on the back porch. Firewood provided for the fireplace which we used every night. Pastries delivered daily and the host was the sweetest. I can’t say enough good things about this property. We will100% be back!

The one hour stay

Place smelled , sheets smelled , can’t stand in bathroom if you are 6 ft tall . Firewood needs to be lit with a flame thrower to get wood burning . TV is a antique and screen is very small . Located in a cow pasture. The worst part was how dark it is you can’t read and I was hoping to read 2 books I brought . No view from cabin . We stayed about one hour and drove back home . So much for a nice weekend .

Log cabin… fireplace … ducks

We had a great time! The directions were easy, and we didn’t really ever need to contact the host. (Who did leave pastries and fruit for us). It nice and quiet, and sleeping with the fireplace in a log cabin was most excellent. (Didn’t want to get out of bed) In the morning looked out the back window and watched ducks on the pond. (I guess I should’ve brought binoculars). Neat place, we would love to stay again sometime.

This is a beautiful peaceful setting. The cabin is cozy and comfortable. Be aware that there's no no internet but I did have cell service. I especially enjoyed sitting on the porch overlooking the small pond.

This property is a beautiful cabin, secluded and quiet. Its beautifully maintained and furnished. Keep in mind that if you rent this cabin, you have to go outside to use the restroom or take shower as the "bathhouse" is a few steps from the fro t door. The walkway is covered tho So even when it rains you stay dry. The host brings fresh baked goods in the afternoon for breakfast the next morning. Everything is provided. There was, juice and 2 kinds of milk in the fridge, a Keurig and a selection of coffees and tea and hot chocolate, fresh fruit and a selection of cerial to choose from. We brought supplies and took them all home again as we did not need anything. The only thing that should be kept in mind, and is not in the listing, the cabin is situated within a pasture. Its fenced in, but where you park you, ther is cows roaming free. We had a great weekend.

Beyond our Expectations!

We absolutely loved this cabin! The pictures don’t do it justice! Incredibly beautiful views, quaint, cozy and well kept cabin. Don’t let the detached bathroom deter you- it just adds to the unique charm. Perfect location out of town- feels completely isolated but not far from what we wanted to do in town. Enjoyed coffee on the porch while watching the cows and deer, wine by the fireplace each evening, and loved the special treats left for us! Yum! We fell in love with this place from the moment we saw it and each moment we were there made us want to stay longer! We will be back! Nice Experience!

1800 log cabin with modern comforts

It’s a great get away from city life,sitting on about a hundred acres in a valley of hills in the best of Texas Hill Country…Fredericksburg.we loved are anniversary number 30… morning coffee watching deer and more deer,then into town for great dinning,shopping, excursion to Enchanted Rock state park.We are planning to return next year for sure,

I want to move there...right there😀

There's a reason why the community of Fred' is booming. Such bootiful townfolk...but the majic is sitting on the front or back porch chasing or dodging the sun. It's NOT fancy...but it's perfect, Rich with history and craftsmanship. Bring your cane pole and some crappie jigs for the bass, some binoculars and pick up a sack of corn for the deer. We just stayed 5 nights and rarely left. Take a drive...turn left at the gate when leaving and take the big loop around. Email me for details on things to do galvestontexas@sbcglobal.net. Alan.
