Cute home near the town center
We spent a weekend here and had the best time! We enjoyed the hot tub/patio daily. We loved how close it is to the town center as it was super convenient to go to restaurants, shops, or the grocery store. Everything was clean and would highly recommend it!

Not what we expected
There are several houses close by the property, it is not as secluded as it sounds in the listing. It should be mentioned in the listing that this is a garage turned into a small rental space. Someone actually lives on the other side in the house attached to the former garage. We found this out on day 3, this explained the sounds we were hearing and the car parked in the drive. The kitchen is very small and difficult to prepare meals in. It does not have adequate cooking accessories. We had to go out and buy stuff to cook with and clean up with after cooking. Rooms are very small, we found the beds to be very hard. The jetted tub didn't work when we got there, I contacted the host and the ranch manager came soon after. He was very pleasant and fixed the tub, it was an electrical issue. The place is clean but very small. Also only a charcoal grill, no gas. The lady living in the house attached encouraged us to walk up a trail past a no trespassing sign to see a view. We encountered a very territorial horse who bit my husbands arm and proceeded to charge at him and block him into a tree. We barely got away and my husband could have been hurt badly, we were lucky. The pool is small and was too cold to get into even though it was hot outside. The hot tub was ok but the pool guy came and poured something in the water making an oil slick so we couldnt use it anymore. We felt this place is way over priced and the listing is not exactly accurate. Will not stay there again.

We had a wonderful, fun celebration. This property isn't to far from town. Hot Tub was a huge plus, we really enjoyed our evenings in the Hot Tub. We had 2 small issues and the communication with the management team was outstanding and very helpful.

Birthday weekend
We had a great stay, we were all comfortable. We had everything we needed. They even left us a cute basket of snacks. The house was clean, but looked like someone just gave it a quick "half" job. The fridge was dirty and there were hairs in it.. The curtain rod in the bathroom kept falling on us, so we all had to take turns using the other shower. The house needs maintenance. We found one window slightly cracked open, so as women staying there, we checked all the windows and found one in the dining room that was broken from the frame, so it couldn't be secured closed at all, plus it was blowing in cold air. No remote to the tv in the dining room, we manually turned it on, but just static. The dining room didn't work, probably just needed a light bulb. The fans and the lights were tricky, could never figure them out. The mini split needs maintenance, it worked, but it was loud. The main bathroom wasn't private. Its a huge wooden door, with lots of huge gaps! And the shower was right in front of it with no curtain or any kind of cover, so you were completely exposed. Other than all of those maintenance issues, we had a great stay!! I recommend for a ladies weekend! It was comfortable and warm. The hot tub was a plus! The view was beautiful! For a small group of us, it was perfect!

Gorgeous and Quiet Retreat
We had a beautiful and quiet get together at Diane's place just outside of Fredericksburg. It was not far at all from the center of town, maybe a five minute drive, but still far enough into the country that it was quiet, peaceful, and felt secluded from the bustle of the city. The pictures of the property do not begin to do it justice - the place is beautiful and well thought out with very comfortable accommodations, soft beds, full coffee service, and a hot tub and pool! We enjoyed our stay immensely and will recommend to any friends or family visiting Fredericksburg in the future!

AMAZING Spot in Wine Country!
My bridesmaids and I stayed here for Bachelorette Party Weekend and it was absolutely amazing! Maria, our host, was super helpful and the guesthouse was perfect for the 5 of us (could have fit a couple more!). The pool was amazing and the hot tub was the perfect way to end the night. Would highly recommend staying here!

Great house for bachelorette party w/ all the amenities and close to town!
This house had all the amenities we could've wanted/needed (and more!) for our bachelorette party - pool, hot tub, sauna etc! Perfectly fit 8 of us (6 in beds, 2 on sleeper sofas). The location was close to town and great. The property host was responsive and helpful. The house is attached to another house but we didn't see or hear anything from them all weekend. Would stay here again!

Weekend Celebration
We had a great time and enjoyed the uniqueness of the home. It is attached to the main house, however we did not see them while we were there. The drive to town was not far and it was nice being a little more secluded. The pool was refreshing and was a very nice area to hang out in on these hot summer days. Beautiful rural setting
This was a lovely location for a family visit to Fredericksburg. Only a few miles out of town, but away from the hustle and bustle. We loved sitting out under the porch roof in the evenings, and especially loved the shaded pool on hot summer afternoons. This VRBO is actually connected to a larger house, and the address is not posted, so we had difficulty finding the house. There is no dishwasher, but plenty of paper plates and plastic silverware are provided, so we were happy with that. The bedrooms were lovely and everything was very clean and ready for our arrival. However, there was no ice, and when we notified the host, she offered to run get us a bag; but we were not in a rush, so just bought some later. This wouldn't matter usually, but it was a Texas heat wave during our stay. We enjoyed the bucolic setting and the views from our VRBO were soothing and beautiful. Cows occasionally came up to a nearby fence; overall it was just charming. Our family recommends this for groups visiting Fredericksburg!

Was perfect for a get-away from the city. We roasted marshmallows over the fire pit & spent the day lounging by the pool. The property was also close to Fredericksburg proper, so we popped into town for some delicious German food. Would highly recommended for a romatic trip or a fun group trip.

We went for our bachelorette trip and enjoyed ourselves. We didn’t know the property was attached to another house. I guess we should have read the reviews regarding that. We never came in contact with the resident(s) but it did offput us a bit at first. We wished there was more lighting by the hot tub and pool. Otherwise, good stay.

This is my main house I normally travel 75% of the time if not more and might spend the night or two, it is not a rental property. Not what we expected.
They forget to mention this is a pool house/guest house that's connected to their home. Which caught us off guard. The house was put together for guest but there was a lot of dead bugs laying around inside. The pool area was okay. The pool was dirty had alot of grass in it the cushions to the lay out chairs were filthy. There was so many wasp and wasp nest around the pool you couldn't enjoy it there was even the huge killer wasps flying at us in the pool. They didn't have many towels for guest to use. But it was an okay stay.

Dear Caitlyn, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're sorry your experience didn't match your expectations. It is uncommon that we have so many bees we do have a regular exterminator coming to spray every month but because of the heat it is making it impossible they did come and spray the day before and that is why there were so many bugs which I am very sorry about that. The apartment is connected to the main house which is where I stay when I am in Fredericksburg, I am gone 75% of the time if not more I am 88 years old and travel most of the time. Also, there is no access to the apartment from either place. please feel free to reach out to us with any further comments or suggestions we always appreciate feedback. We would love to make things right if you would give us another chance.

Location of this property was amazing. Maria the property manager was in contact with us which was great… two negative things. Smell of restroom next to the two rooms had a very bad odor like mold the whole stay. Went in to town to buy Lysol. Used the whole can by the end of the stay, with no luck. SCORPIONS!!! It is that time of year which we understand but not to kill 10 inside the house/beds. Maybe a pest patrol to spray the place would help. Besides that beautiful place

We are so sorry to hear about your experience-thank you for bringing it to our attention. We always value and take feedback very seriously. Maria had already talked to me about the smell in the restroom and we have already called to get it taken care of. We also have pest control, and they are scheduled every month since we are out of town and there are a lot of bugs, they did explain to us that the rain washes off the chemical they use to get rid of the bugs and prevent them from coming in the house. We talked to our cleaning team, and they were not aware and have not seen any scorpions. Again, we are sorry for the inconvenience and hope to see you again.

The pool and hot tub were fantastic! A few electrical outlets in the house didn't work. We never could get the tvs and the kitchen/ living area over head light to work. Nice private bedrooms with comfortable beds. Beautiful wildflowers in the fields near the home. We watched for deer in the mornings & evenings. Overall a great stay for the entire family!

Country cottage was perfect for us!
House was like a very charming cottage. We really enjoyed our stay and loved being out in the country! Having the horses, cattle, wildlife around was really great since we are kind of city folks. The pool, hot tub and sauna were so awesome! The bedrooms are a bit small but since we were only there for a few days it did not bother us. I would definitely recommend this house!

Good, but not what we expected
I want to caveat this review with the following: Had it been clear in the listing that the size of the home was 1,000 square feet smaller than listed, that it was not alone on the substantial acreage (there are at least 4 other homes there), and that it was actually a converted (and expanded) garage attached to a main home, I may have rated it better. Then again, I would never have paid what was asking given the actual home. It was also nearly impossible to find because the entrance is on the side of the main house. The home itself is cute, eclectically decorated, and clean. It was relatively comfortable, especially once we figured out how to adjust the individual window units in each room to not be on sub-zero cooling. As other reviewers have noted, there are NO CLOSETS. More importantly to me, though, is that there is no place within the king bedrooms to even put your suitcase. The rooms are TINY and barely fit the bed and small nightstands on either side. There is slightly more space in the third bedroom and an armoire for storage. There is no dishwasher, the sinks are very shallow, and I'm not sure how you would actually be able to clean up after cooking a meal. The pool is more plunge-pool sized, so bear that in mind. It was too cold outside to swim, but it looked okay The hot tub - which we were really looking forward to using - was covered in a weird oil slick of apparently scented oil and we were too grossed out to use it. Overall good, but not worth the rate.

Finding lights inside was difficult, I think the bed in the room closest to the kitchen might have had bed bugs or the seating with cushions on patio have fleas… the 2 of us that slept in that bed also sat on those cushions a lot, while no one else really did. The door handle was loss when we got there, but everything locked correctly. We flipped breakers when trying to use hair dryers and straighteners, but we really enjoyed ourselves. Beautiful area for walks, the hangout areas outside are great, the beds were comfortable as were the dinning and living areas inside.

A few things need to be worked on!
We had a great time except no hot water until 24 hrs later when we called as soon as it happen… we were boiling water for 9 ladies to take showers/baths! The lights sucked, breakers tripped as we were leaving and had to move from bedroom to bedroom to finish blow drying hair… it’s a beautiful place just a few things need to be checked before someone checks in! 1) Propane needs to be checked everything is electric except the water heater (the excuse was the pool guy was on location Monday and turned heater on) this is why the propane ran out! Other than that which I consider a big problem we were in touch with the ranch manager/ owner through out the whole stay.

Wonderful home
The home was so accommodating, clean and BEAUTIFUL! The beds were especially comfortable and especially the jacuzzi for the colder nights. Being able to relax and take in the amazing views with the horses around was just so breathtaking. I will be returning hopefully soon and will be spreading the words to my friends.

Beautiful location
We came out here for a bachelorette party and this was an amazing place. Wildlife just walking throughout the location and the hot tub and pool were a nice touch. The owner and property manager were excellent. The online directions were hard to find the house, but I was able to call the owner and she then was able to direct us. There were a few issues with the house. The main living area light doesn’t work, the small bathroom shower rod kept falling down, and a night swim was difficult due to no string lights outside. I did mention this to the owner and they fixed everything. Very kind people and helpful.

Clean and Quiet
Property is very clean and beautiful scenery. It is attached to another house like an apartment but never heard my neighbor. They layout is slightly odd but it was comfortable for our group. When I say off, it’s not an open format but it’s comfortable. One big closet to share but again perfect for our group. The pool, hot tub and jacuzzi tub are amazing! Would stay again but just with my kids and husband- got us perfect.

Nice for a small group of friends or a single family
The property and home were very clean. There were some perks (ice in the freezer, bottled water, fully stocked coffee area). The home needs some maintenance (burned out light bulbs, no functioning lights in one area, awkwardly placed light switches, outlet cover plate falling off in one bathroom, broken window coverings, no shower curtain in the bathroom that doesn't have real doors creating privacy and splashing issues), the kitchen was lacking some basics (vent for the stove, cookie sheets, blender, serving spoons, measuring cups/spoons), and the bedrooms do not have dressers or closets. The description should have included the fact that the home is actually shared with a non-renter (the owner?). The overall property is actually shared with multiple homes, so it was a little intimidating at check in (the "front" of the rental is actually on the side of a house so it initially feels as if you are at the wrong home). Despite these criticisms, the property is ideally located for a quiet retreat within a short drive of Main St and great trails and country roads for walks. We were also surprised and impressed at how few bugs there were...TX, in general, has a lot of bugs and since the property is so near livestock, we expected a lot flies and mosquitoes. But, fortunately, this was not the case! It is obvious the folks in charge of cleaning are diligent and the owners care about the property.

Over all a great property only a couple of minor issues. Burnt out light bulbs. Toilet in master bathroom was not set when one sat on it pitched forward. Kitchen cookware was very limited. We had storm in which we lost power and water for about 2 hrs but that couldn't be helped. Texted property manager she contacted the power company for us. Overall great place.

Lovely spot and perfect location
This stay was just far enough way we could enjoy having a night of laughs and reconnecting, but close enough that a drive to town took less than ten minutes. We really enjoyed the property. Hot tub and pool were lovely.

Fantastic!
We found everything as advertised and really enjoyed our stay. It’s just a mile or two to downtown, which was fine. It was a little difficult finding the house the first time but we made it!
