Het hotel ligt op slechts 4 km buiten het centrum van de stad Funchal, het is perfect gelegen om uit eten, winkelen en sightseeing. U kunt ook ontspannen bij het zwembad en genieten van het adembenemende uitzicht over de Atlantische Oceaan en Praia Formosa strand met zijn loopbrug naar Camara De Lobos.

Dit moderne tweede verdieping appartement is volledig ingericht, licht en luchtig, en wordt geleverd met toegang tot een volledig uitgeruste fitnessruimte (teruggeplaatst in oktober 2015), een jacuzzi en buitenzwembad. Het heeft een eigen parkeerplaats, een lift, en het westen gelegen balkons uit zowel de woonkamer en slaapkamer, espressomachine, en draadloos internet. Een optionele eenpersoonsbed is ook beschikbaar voor een kind.

Vila Formosa krijgt zijn naam aan het strand beneden, Praia Formosa, dat is het belangrijkste strand van Funchal. Het appartement beschikt over de stappen (veel!) naar het strand, waar u drie grote cafés en open lucht restaurants en een 2 km wandelpad (op palen in de zee) naar het vissersdorp Camara De Lobos vindt (ook met veel cafés en restaurants).

We had a great week. Well equipped apartment. Good garage. Nice view. Beautiful pool. Public transport is doable but car would be preferable. Some nice restaurants at walking distance.

We had a fantastic stay in Natasha's apartment in Villa Formosa. A very nice place. Everything was present in the apartment. It was also lovely outside by the pool. And the view is really beautiful. The only thing unfortunate was that the sofa in the living room was not a sofa bed. (for people who want to sleep separately) But again, a wonderful apartment.

This property is in a great location. A great grocery store about 5 minute walk away and a great number of restaurants within a 10 to 15 minute walk. The promenade walkway is a short 5 minute walk to access but it is quite a few stairs and is a steep incline. Albeit most things are in Madeira. Overall a wonderful stay.

Place was fabulous. Easy communication with natasha. Great area close to bars and restaurants and shops. Only small alterations with the keys. Only one set. You do need 2 sets of keys. Especially when checking out and someone else was picking you up. The key drop box needs to be up the main gate. Otherwise what a lovely experience. Views were outstanding. Thankyou natasha fab property.

The property is located in a quieter part of Lido but is close to two large supermarkets, many restaurants, and local spots. The sunset from the balcony is priceless. These aspects are probably similar to other reviews of this property, but for us, the most important thing was that we felt at home. Everything—from the warm welcome to the cleanliness of the house to the well-equipped kitchen—was just perfect.Thank you, Fiona and Natasha, for everything. See you next year! :)

The apartment complex is well maintained as well as the apartment. The kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living room are spacious and well equipped. Above all, the large storage space in the bedroom exceeded our expectations. We were not only provided with "normal" towels, but also bath towels, so that we were sufficiently supplied. The kitchen is also perfectly equipped, so that our own cooking was also possible. There are 2 balconies, both of which were in the shade until early afternoon. Especially in warm temperatures very pleasant, as you could easily switch between sun at the pool and shade on the balcony. The swimming pool invites you to swim, as well as to dream with a wide view of the sea. The fitness room is equipped with a treadmill, cross trainer and ergometer. The many steps (108), which have already been taken into account in previous evaluations, invite you to warm up or to have a final sense of achievement. However, it should be noted that everywhere on Madeira it goes either up or down - that's what makes this island so appealing. We were impressed by the very detailed description that our landlords left us. From general information about the apartment, to bus schedules, tips for restaurants etc. This made it easy to settle in quickly and easily. All in all, we had a great and relaxing holiday, and I was also able to spend a carefree holiday despite my chronic pain disorder Thank you very much for everything! Carola & Oliver

Bel appartement, bien équipé et grand. Et bien situé au milieu de l ile. Le petit bémol c'est l insonorisation qui n est pas au top puisque l on entend les voisins du dessus. Le jaccouzzi est vieillissant et ne faisait pas de bulles. Des travaux viennent de commencer pour la construction d'un nouveau complexe juste devant le bâtiment dommage...

We really enjoyed our stay at Vila Formosa. It is in a great location, close to many restaurants and shopping. A short bus ride to Old Town Funchal. The apartment is is well equipped and spacious. The beach is nearby and has a nice promenade to wander along. Our host ,Natasha, also arranged transportation for us from the airport to the apartment. We would definitely return.

Rented this condo for a month. Loved getting up every morning to a beautiful view of the Atlantic ocean and the west side of the island. It is well situated in the west side of Funchal with good access to the bus to downtown. Can be walked as well. Area is mostly flat. Access to various spots on the island was easy in a rental car. The main East-West highways wasn’t far away. The kitchen was fairly well equipped with a large enough refrigerator, a stove top with oven and a dishwasher. The clothes washing machine likely needs servicing, sometimes is not quite right with the latching mechanism. Several dishes were chipped and should be replaced. Good services in the area with a good grocery store just up the street, cafe, restaurants, hair cutting, car rental. Really not lacking any amenities. All and all, we loved the place.

Es hat uns super gefallen ! Super schön eingerichtete Ferienwohung . Es fehlte nichts . Wunderschöne Aussicht auf beiden Balkonen . Pool super und gepflegt . Strand und Promenade schnell zu erreichen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

The pre holiday communication was really good with Natasha organising taxi transfers and answering all our questions, especially about the gym area which is quite important to us. There were a couple of things with the gym when we arrived, there was no working sauna and the jacuzzi that was advertised died a couple of days into our stay, after sounding extremely noisy across the whole pool area prior to this, also on the last day of our stay the gym was unfortunately flooded. The apartment was generally very good with everything you would need for a home from home experience, however some of the crockery could do with replacing as it was very chipped. It would have been nice to have a main door key each as although we travel as a couple we do sometimes go out on our own and had to prearrange being back at a certain time to gain entry to the apartment. The air conditioning in the bedroom was really good, there was also a portable unit for the lounge advertised but this didn’t work and the lounge was very hot without it. I contacted Peter the key holder about this and a problem we had with the main door lock which was very stiff, the day after we arrived. It was however eight days into the holiday before receiving a new fan and the door lock being fixed and key replaced. ( the lock was so stiff it had broken the key fob off trying to turn it). Overall a very nice apartment and location that just needs minor improvements and updating of the website to be totally accurate.

The property has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The store was a short walk away. The bus can be easily accessed. Only downer was the construction work taking place between the condo and ocean front. They work long hours. But the weather was beautiful the whole time we were there. The people are nice and there's lots to do.

An amazing location with a spectacular view. The sound of the surf from Formosa beach just below the condo put us to sleep every night. A couple for minor maintenance issues were handled promptly.
