The room was fine, though it wasn't ready until a couple hours after the "arrival" time. From there it was downhill. For almost $300 a night, the room was neat and clean and that's where it ended. There was no maid service. No new clean towels, no bed made up, no replenishment of coffee pods, no clean drinking/coffee cups, no little pen and pad for making notes, no nothing that you would easily find and expect in a Comfort Inn at least half the Hilton Garden's price. Asked why don't we get these expected items? Answer: We stopped them when Covid hit and did not renew these niceties. When I initially called and asked about breakfast, I was informed it was available in the lobby. Rushing for the grandson's soccer game, at 6:45 a.m. we were grabbing an apple and a banana and were told breakfast was $12, regardless of what you get. A great breakfast is always available at a Comfort Inn and many other lodging spots. When checking in I asked if there was an ice machine on the floor (the 4th) and was told there were machines on all floors. The only problem, it didn't work. Found one on the 3rd. The staff was like robots and their response to any concern was basically a "that's the way it is." I spent 30+ years travelling the U.S. on business and never before, at a Hilton operated hotel, did I ever feel so cheated in the price we paid for the value we got.
