Gelegen op 19 Farmstead Lane. Dit is een stadshuis op drie niveaus met 4 slaapkamers, 2 met queensize bedden, 1 met 2 dubbele bedden en een met stapelbed / uitschuifbed (geschikt voor drie personen, geweldig voor kinderen). Prachtig onderhouden en ingericht stadshuis voor uw familie wegkomen of een geweldige verhuur voor een weekendje weg met vrienden. Centraal gelegen dicht bij de belangrijkste lodge kern voorzieningen / eigenaren club, dicht bij wandelpaden, op loopafstand van territorium supermarkt / broodjeszaak en meer. Toegang tot eigenaren club voorzien van verhuur. Open haard (voorzien van brandhout), granieten aanrecht in de keuken, twee grote schermen HDTV TV's in woonkamer op de begane grond en familiekamer beneden, alle slaapkamers hebben HDTV. Twee buitendekken met uitzicht op golfbaan fairway. Nieuwe apparaten, fornuis, koelkast, vaatwasser, alle servies, bestek, kookgerei, beddengoed, voorzien in de keuken. Beddengoed, zeep / shampoo / conditioner voorzien in alle badkamers. Wasmachine / droger voorzien van wasmiddelen.

3 floors fit for the family (and small dog)

Because of its 3 floors this condo fits a lot into its compact layout. Good location close to walking trails. Kitchen stocked for simple cooking needs.

Nice property in excellent location.

I appreciated Ryan's communication before the trip and willingness to provide an early check in. Unfortunately Ryan was out of the country during our stay and did not send the check in instructions, including the key code. About 8 hours after our 1st attempt to reach him, we finally received the information. I believe this is an unusual occurrence but it was frustrating to not be able to reach someone during the rental for help. We were also told there would be 6 pool passes but only 3 were in the house. I am hoping we don't get charged for the missing passes. Because we didn't want to pay the fee to get other people in to the Owners Club, we went to the resort pool instead (we had family staying there as well). A bit frustrating as this was the main reason we picked the propertyThe house is definitely older and some work is needed (carpeting is bunching up, etc). But the price was great compared to other, newer homes. You can tell Ryan does do what he can to keep the property clean and in a decent condition. One other note - there are about 10 steps down to the condos and no ramp for wheelchairs or walkers. My mother has a walker and this presented a bit of a challenge. And there is very little lighting in the complex so its very dark and hard to see if you arrive at night.

A few issues

Several friends and I rented the townhouse for a getaway to Galena to shop and enjoy the surroundings. The townhouse is laid out well for a group ~ room for socializing, separate rooms, and 3 baths. However, we encountered some issues. The townhouse was very dusty and needed a cleaning. In addition, the dishwasher was detached from the cabinet and unusable. For these reasons, we were disappointed in our stay at the townhouse.

Cute, spacious condo in Galena Territory.

The owner was very friendly, accommodating and prompt with his responses. The location is amazingly beautiful! The residence had plenty of space for all of us. We did not have a chance to use the Owners Club. There were just a few negatives: The upstairs bedroom was very hot when we got there, so we jacked the AC. This made the rest of the condo chilly, and the upstairs doable - with a provided box fan over the floor register, and the above ceiling fan going. Second I had to give a three out of five for cleanliness for a couple of reasons: the upstairs bedroom needed dusting/cleaning: the bedside table had marks from a glass which I wiped off, the dresser had some kind of goo on it that I scraped off with my fingernail. The headboard was quite dusty. There was a cute wash basin on the dresser but it had dead bugs and a lot of dust in it. Also, the sheets on our bed had some leg hairs we had to brush off when we pulled back the covers. Our family said the other bedrooms were fine and main level bed was the most comfortable they'd ever slept in! The kitchen table was very spacious but it was sticky so I had to clean that off. Finally, we noticed ants crawling on the kitchen counter one night, so we had to kill the them and clean the counter before we could food prep. A bit icky, but we just dealt with it. Owner was great, but I would recommend a new cleaning service.

Home not ready at check in time. Musty smell probably from tapestries and animal skins hanging on walls and old furniture. Bunk bed not stable so felt top bunk could not be safely used. Paint chipping on wall. Just not up to par for the price.

Worst VRBO expierence - host double booked

I can’t even begin to explain what an upsetting expierence my family and I had with this booking. My spouse and I drove from Colorado to meet up with my family who drove from Chicago to stay at this location. The host confirmed that an early check in at 2 PM would be fine. However, when 2 PM hit he was completely unresponsive in providing details to get in. We waited several hours and tried calling again. At this point, we still had no information on how to get in. I spent 3+ hours on the phone with VRBO saying they could not get in touch with our host and they confirmed “we were stranded.” Come 7 PM we finally heard from the host that this place had been double booked and another family from another rental company was using the space. We then had to search all over for a new place to stay. VRBO said they would only pay for one hotel room for my family - even though we had three dogs, 6 people and a baby. We ended up leaving Galena and had to drive back to Chicago after packing up everything for our weekend. Very upsetting.
