Located in Gallatin Gateway, Big Elk Haus is situated perfectly between Bozeman and Big Sky: 30 min from BZN airport, and just over an hour to Yellowstone National Park West Entrance. The home is tucked into the foothills of the Gallatin Nation Forest, host to hiking/horse trails, snowmobile and UTV access through Little Bear Road. “Blue Ribbon” rivers surround the valley and are renowned for their fishing, all within a short drive to access.

30 min south down the scenic canyon road and driving alongside the roaring Gallatin River, you’ll reach the town of Big Sky home of 5,800 acres of ski terrain for all experience levels. Iconic and just plain Big, this place checks the bucket list for skiers and snowboarders world-wide. Additionally, Bridger Bowl is the locals ski hill boasting 2,000 acres, 300” of seasonal snowfall, north of Bozeman and about 45 north of the home. Those looking for challenge can Hike the Bridger Ridge. There are endless recreational activities year round including hiking, rafting, biking, cycling, XC skiing, golfing, and fishing in the valley and more for those wishing to take a day off. Bozeman Hot Springs is a great place to soak in 12 different pools ranging from 59° to 106° and wet and dry saunas, along with a live music stage at nights. Take a stroll down Main Street in the town of Bozeman where you can shop local and taste all types of innovative cuisine.
