I’m not sure why you were expecting to park beneath our home. Our welcome email explains that you should not park there because guests’ vehicles have gotten stuck and had to be towed out. It’s puzzling how you describe the dirt beneath our home as dirty because of footprints. There is dirt and sand beneath our home which will have footprints in it, especially if it has rained recently. We are very happy with our wood floors and have gotten many compliments on them! They are very rustic and beachy and exactly as we planned. Rugs are impossible at the beach, they only collect sand. Thank you for pointing out that our deck chairs and front door need to be cleaned. We have taken care of that. If something did not appear clean when you arrived we wish you would have alerted us right away so we could have taken care of it immediately. Hmm, I don’t see anywhere it says 3 baths. That must be something Vrbo did. The beach houses on stilts are designed to be like trees. They sway in the wind and must be flexible. Thank you for staying with us!

We wish you would’ve let us know when you checked in that there was an issue with cleanliness so we could’ve had that taken care of during your stay. We are glad to hear that overall everything was good!

Well! What a review! I’ll start with the raw sewage comment. We received an email the 2nd day of their stay that said the house smelled of raw sewage (although she pointed out that she herself was unable to smell). We were horrified and immediately responded that we would send someone right over to find and fix what might be causing that. She declined our offer… If the smell was that bad why didn’t she want it attended to? The second they checked out we sent someone over who could find no evidence of any smell. The cleaning service also could find no evidence of any smell. The guests who stayed immediately before them did not report any smell and left us a glowing 5 star review. The guests who stayed immediately after them also did not report any smell. Is it possible they brought the smell with them? Or was it fabricated in the hopes of receiving a refund? I guess we’ll never know. Also the day after check in she reported that there was dried urine on the floor when they arrived (the hair in the sink is a new item), and there were some light bulbs burned out but the rest of the house was clean. We offered to ask the cleaning service to come back over and take care of these things but again, she declined. She sent us several pictures of the missing wood from the underside of our home but for some reason, no pictures of the dried urine. Had we known she did not like the sheets, we could’ve pointed her to the linen closet that contains no less that 30 extra sets of sheets. We’re not sure what pictures are not reflective of our home. We took them ourselves with only our phone (except for the teenager who took the drone shots for us). We even have a fairly recent review where that guest stated our home looked much better than the pictures. We do our best to keep our home comfy and inviting, hoping that each guest has an enjoyable stay. We absolutely love going there and you can tell from our reviews that most of our guests love going there as well!
