The property was clean, but it smelt musty. There was not a lot of room for parking because the parking garage was being renovated. Also, the elevator was out of order which made carrying luggage and groceries up to the third floor difficult.

Worse experience ever!

First off. I would give a negative number if I could. This condo was pathetic. We have traveled a lot over the years(leisure and work), I have never seen anything so dirty. The following are the issues we had on the first and only day. We got there was never told the unit was in the third floor prior to getting there. We start to unload and go on the elevator, push the button and acts it's going up but them drops slightly, so not safe. So have to lug all the bags up. (4PM)We get to the door and the code that was given doesn't work. They have a 10 digit number and it only accepts 7 numbers then the light turns red. So we had to contact customer service to find out how to get in. They gave us a backup code for the lockbox to use the key. (430PM)We got in, kind of smelly when we first walked in and it was supposedly just cleaned. (5PM)So we make a list for groceries and brought food back. (730PM)We sat down to eat and the dirt caked on AC filter staring us in our faces. And the kitchen lights going in and out(flickering). Then we look around and the ceiling fan blades are the same throughout the place. (8-830PM)So we decide to take showers and then relax, the master bath shower had mold all around it in the grout. The front bathroom, the facet came out of the wall when we turned it on, the mirror is so rusted, you can't see yourself in it. First stay with Vrbo. Very possibly the last. Definitely the last with a Vacasa listing. Check in was a nightmare. I received two different addresses. The first address sent me to a unit someone was already in. So unsafe. We're in Texas and are lucky that person didnt act drastically. Then we get to the unit, after 8 flights of stairs carrying luggage, food, and children, the 10 digit code doest work on the keypad that only accepts 4 digits. After being on hold, the person answers and gives me the same code in the text. Then finally after a series of "try this try that" we get to the lockbox with a master code for a backup key. We get inside, mostly ok except the subpar AC and some baking sheets that are filthy. The back porch is covered in hundreds of spider egg sacs. Hard to relax with that all around you. The doors are all hard to close because of the rust in the latches. Overall, truly a bad experience. I tried to respond to a text asking if it was clean and they immediately want picture evidence. Which I couldn't provide because I already had cleaned them to start dinner. If it hadn't taken an hour to find/get into the correct unit I would have taken pictures.

Place was very clean, smelled a little stale but airing out helped. Only gave two stars because elevator did not work and condo is on the third level. So that means you have to drag everything up 6 flights of stairs. That was hard work, especially first day bring up everything. Would have been nice to know before hand, also had to call for door code. But after all that craziness everything went fine no issues pretty quiet, just there for a weekend wedding.

Bring Everything

We've stayed multiple years and similar condos across the street, int he same cul-de-sac as well as a different floor. This one unit however, is extremely outdated and dirty. Whatever you do, when asked to strip the bed, don't. You will not want to come back.

Labor Day Stay

Was nice condo and perfect size for two couples. We enjoyed our stay. Nice bedding and plenty of extra pillow and covers. Great provision of soap and shampoos. Kitchen was very poorly equipped. Missing tea pitcher, large skillet, serving bowls and serving spoons, etc. Threshold missing in twin room. Back door does not close unless used deadbolt so if we went on patio mosquitoes flew in. Twin beds squeaked. One bed had a bug. Lights in kitchen had a short. Maintenance tried replacing bulbs but did not work. Lots of lights out. Chairs in den were stained and dirty. TVs very small and poor quality. Tv in master was larger than den tv. Needs tv in twin room. Property looks like may have had a fire and has not been completely finished. Stove top has grease fire stains.

DO NOT STAY HERE

Even if this is the lowest place to stay, you won't get your money's worth. Where do I start? First, this condo is very dated, on the inside. From 20" tvs to the 20 year old furniture. The lights flickered when turned on, luckily, no seizures were caused. The smell of mildew and smoke combined for a potent aroma inside. They say they cleaned it, but none of my kids or wife had dyed hair and we found them in the sinks and our bed. My kids feet were dirty after walking barefoot, right after we checked in. We reached out for assistance on numerous occasions regarding the water. Our water went out for over 24 hours. Their response was "we can't do anything about it, it's a city wife thing". Yet, our neighbors had water. Strange, right? No showers, no washing hands and no flushing for over 24 hours. Let that sink in. We ended up checking out early and going home to shower and clean up. The ONLY thing positive to share is the A/C. It does blow cold. If you're ok with the rest, then book it. I'm sure it's available. Hope this helps at least ONE family not lose their hard earned money.

Excellent unobstructed bay view and check-in process

Thr check-in process is the best we have experienced to date. The property management company sends an email earlier in the week and we had the code the day before. We also received a message when the unit was available before the regular check-in time so that we could arrive early. We only live an hour away, so this was a bo us for us. The bay view from the third floor is unobstructed allowing a nice view of the horizon. The elevator was beeded for our cooler and bags and it worked the whole time. About a 7 minute walk to the beach which works for us. The kitchen had the basics but no extras. TV isnt fancy but there is cable and we weren't there to watch TV. There were plenty of towels and we appreciated the easy checkout. No laundry or stripping beds, just started the dishwasher and walked out.

Great location

Great location, wonderful pool. Furnishings very outdated and dirty. Mirrors and stove corroded, walls and backs of doors dirty from kids. Elevator sketchy, but it worked!! Great walking trails and awesome view from balcony, short walk to beach from the main pool, great kids pool. Family friendly, good parking. Easy drive.

Pictures are not true

We were very disappointed with the condition of our rental...with a good week of cleaning and repairing it could b nice. When we left three sinks were clogged...garbage disposal never worked...furniture in the living room needs to b thrown and replaced...could add more teaspoons..only two....stove worked but looked awlful.We had a flickering light in the kitchen. Loved the area...too bad there is not love for this place.We did the sixty-three steps up and down ...enjoyed the area.....

Condo was pretty dirty could have been cleaned better. Pool is not free, Fee $25 per person and no where close to property. Beach you still have to drive too then walk to but it was private so not very crowded. Check in process was easy, property managers were nice and easy to contact with any problem. Great view of the bay

This property is dated and our room could use updated TVs and deep cleaning on rug and couch. There was a bag of dirty diapers left under the sink, no trash can in bathroom and nats. A rag left in frig. I was disappointed.

Perfect Relaxing Getaway

This was a perfect stay for our family of 4. It is on the quiet bayside which we really enjoyed. The property was clean, quiet, comfortable and relaxing. Everyone spread out and had a great time.

Pointe West is Great

We enjoyed our stay. The condo is showing some age but worked fine for us. The beach club and amenities there are worth the visit. The kitchen is not very well stocked but we managed fine cooking our meals there. The view of the bay was beautiful, especially at sunset.

Very disappointed

1st off the listing is VERY deceiving, it indicates that we would be right near the water and pool areas, not the case. We were not informed of the $15 per person wrist band until the day before we left. Several light bulbs were out, sever flickered on and off, no bed spreads or blankets, only sheets, the sinks were VERY slow to drain, infact ware clogged in the master bath, TV were very small. The patio balcony had an old mildewed foam mattress and trash and debris on and under it. Limited cooking utensils, the Stove!!!! OMG, NASTY, grease all over the stove, very dirty, we didn’t use it it due to this. For $$$ we should have had better, and then to find out at the pool there was another family who had a 3 bdrm for same amount of time for less $$ and they were right by the pool….. VERY disapppointed to say the least.

Bad experience

Check in was easy (as always) but we walked in were hit with a damp, musty smell. Furniture is old. Dirty ceiling fans, no cleaning supplies for kitchen counters, no broom to sweep up after cooking. Two dishwasher tablets (we are eating here so would need one per day). No bathroom cleaning materials. Two towels for the master (four towels total). Mold in the master shower, thick dust On the headboard and all furniture in the bed room including the lamp shades, large (bed sized) foam piece left on the back porch ( smells moldy). Musty smell in the condo in general. We will not be staying at this particular unit ever again.

False Advertising

When booking the trip, it shows the actual pictures of the time share condos. Upon arrival we were sent to a privately owned condo managed by Vacasa located across the street. Upon arrival Vacasa had not notified Pointe West of our Reservation and the code provided to open the door would not work. after driving 6 hours to get there and another hour and half on the phone with Vacasa our Reservation was verified, and a new door code was provided. Upon entering the unit, we found that it was nothing like wat was presented in the pictures by which I made the reservation. The unit was dirty furniture and carpet were stained and old. The unit stunk and the air filter had not been changed in a while. We had to clean and sanitize the unit before we could even unpack. The coffee maker still had grounds in it and they were growing mold. We called Vacasa and requested a new coffee maker and a new air filter. The next day a lady showed up with a new coffee maker however, she told us that the air filter was a heavy duty one and did not need to be changed. I called Vacasa again to get it replaced and finally 2 days later the filter was replaced. We booked at this property at the recommendation of some friends that actually stayed at the resort and saw pictures from their stay and unit looked great. The Pointe West Resort amenities were wonderful so I can only assume that the units were well maintained also. I will never book at this property again the unit was not maintained and was not worth the money we paid. In my opinion if the resort is going to use private owners' condo to book their overflow, they need to inspect the units prior to putting guests in them. We took pictures to document our claims and sent them to Vacasa to document our claims. I will be posting the pictures and comments on social media to assure no one else gets the treatment we did.
