Welkom bij Ocean View, en dit huis is precies dat! Met ramen van vloer tot plafond in de woonkamer met eindeloos uitzicht op de oceaan. Dit huis is onlangs verbouwd met alle nieuwe vloeren door het hele huis, en alle nieuwe grote wandeling in betegelde douches. Prive-master suite en een balkon op de tweede verdieping met een panoramisch uitzicht voor het bekijken van zonsop-en ondergangen.

Geniet van uw koffie in de ochtend aan de voorzijde met gedeeltelijk overdekt terras met veel zitplaatsen. Beneden biedt een grote ontmoetingsruimte met twee picknicktafels, een houten schommel, een buitendouche (warm en koud water) en een half bad. Perfect voor entertainment voor het hele gezin.

Let op: Ocean View staat geen huisdieren toe

Begane grond: parkeerplaats voor 4 voertuigen, geen toegang garage, buitendouche (warm en koud), half bad.

Hoofdniveau: open conceptkeuken, eet- en woongedeeltes met een prachtig uitzicht; Tafel zitplaatsen met bank, ontbijttafel top zitplaatsen. Koningin trekt bank naar buiten. Twee slaapkamers met een queensize bed en een piramide stapelbed in elke kamer, beide kamers met tv's. Halbad met alleen inloopdouche.

Tweede niveau: Master Suite met een kingsize bed en een grote inloopdouche in een eigen badkamer. Extra grote inloopkast voor die lange zomervakanties. Eigen balkon met uitzicht op de oceaan en op maat gemaakt tuinmeubilair.

Notities: Gebruik alstublieft de gerichte strandtoegangspunten voor Spanish Grant en steek geen duinen over. Dit huis werkt geweldig met Sea la Vie.

Locatie: minder dan 1 minuut naar het strand; 6. 2 mijl rijden naar 61st Street; 8. 8 mijl rijden naar 25e & Strand; 6. 7 mijl naar Moody Gardens / Schlitterbahn Waterpark.

Opmerking: hoewel het Wi-Fi-toegang / kabel- / afwasnet niet beschikbaar is, kan het hier onbetrouwbaar zijn aan de westkant van het eiland Galveston. The location of the home was superior, best that I have had for a beach front home. It was only 5 miles to WalMart. They allow short stays, which is perfect because we like 4 nights. Bring all of your own beach supplies including chairs & towels.

We spent 3 nights at this house & overall really enjoyed ourselves. We loved the location- right across from the beach! With little ones in tow I had not realized how convenient having quick access is. The exterior showed some wear & tear from the saltwater. But that should be somewhat expected given the proximity to the beach. There was a grill but it was too rusted to be usable. Luckily I reached out & confirmed beforehand that there wouldn’t be a grill so we came prepared, but it would have been nice to have already at the house. The porch swing and rinse off area was great. One evening we decided to have dinner on the porch but realized we were eating in the dark- need more lightThe first floor bedroom is completely removed from the rest of the house. You have to go outside and up the stairs to enter the main house. It was too far away for us so no one slept in there. I suppose previous guests felt that way too because the room did have a stale smell to it. It was a great use of space for a midday break from the beach though because it was so cold. The kids huddled up and watched a movie while the sun was blazing outside. The kitchen had all the pots/pans you could ever need. Some were well loved but others were still usable. Fridge/freezer worked well. The bedrooms and bathrooms fit our needs also. The floor mats seemed dirty and needed a good wash.Overall, the neg did not outweigh the positives and we all enjoyed our time in Galveston and most def will return

Annual Getaway with friends

We have been coming to Galveston for the past 6 years and have rented a house each year. This was the most disappointing house we’ve rented. While the pictures accurately depict the layout, the pictures are otherwise very misleading. The house is extremely aged, with black mold coming out of the light fixture in the kitchen. However, The location was perfect and it did have good space for 3 families (2 kids, 2 adults per family) to fit comfortably. This is the first time we’ve rented from a company vs. an individual and you can tell the difference in the care of the house. The company does not check on the wellness of house like an individual would do before guests arrive. Was not clean when we arrived and has not been updated. Other than location, we were extremely disappointed.

Shifted to a new rental property due to a water leak and ceiling collapse

Our first rental property experienced significant water damage due to a slow leak resulting in the collapse of the ceiling in one of the bedrooms. Luckily no one was hurt, but the impacted bedroom was inhabitable. After a night of shifting the guests and a stay at a local hotel another property was offered which met our needs. The company did their best rectify the situation and the inconvenience. The new rental property was an upgrade but was located in a more remote location of the island making enjoying the popular attractions of the island difficult.

Beach Family Wedding

The property was so nice and absolutely perfect for our stay. There was plenty of room for everyone to have a little bit of their own space and own bed (12 people including a baby and 2 young kids).We loved the outside area downstairs and how convenient it was to the beach. We want one of those outside large swings! It was perfect to sit out with the breeze. We actually even slept on it one evening.

Great beach access and views!Beach was quiet and clean.Clean towels and bedsheets.Outdoor restroom and shower huge plus! Plenty of outdoor furniture to enjoy the outdoors. Wish the ground level rooms did not stink. My brother didn’t end up coming and thank goodness because those rooms smelled horrible. Some of the beds were not made and we had to make them. This place was pricier and changed a cleaning fee yet the beds were not made and the floors felt dirty.

Excellent Get Away

The house was just as described: close to the beach and very nice. I was very impressed with the cleanliness. The only negative, and it is small, is that the tub shower on the main floor is EXTREMELY slippery and poses a hazard. A few tub appliques might be in order. Otherwise, we LOVED our visit and hope to return.

Great location! Plenty of room for our 70th Birthday Celebration

We were 9 women - 3 Senior Moms with our adult daughters celebrating the matriarch's 70th birthday. There were some safety issues which we brought to the attention of the property manager. Assuming those were addressed we would definitely stay again. Kitchen was well equipped, great washer/dryer. And the patio/deck were fabulous. The managers were responsive to our calls/needs and everything worked beautifully.

Beach House Misses

Pros include a good location, mere steps to the beach. There are nice views from the deck, and the living areas are spacious. The kitchen is well equipped. The mattresses are good. The biggest con is the ground floor bedroom. It is a deal breaker for returning. It is cold, wet, dark, and smells even though the rest of the house was comfortable. The floors were so wet with condensation that I worried about slipping and falling. I had to wipe my feet with a (cold, clammy) towel before getting into the bed with (cold, clammy) sheets. I couldn’t sit in the chair because the condensation was so severe that it would have soaked my clothes. A second con is the lack of amenities. It’s a beach house, but there are no beach toys or beach towels. The beds were not all made, and what is more fun than making up bunk beds are 9 pm after flying all day with a 4 and a 6 year old? The bar stools in the kitchen are so cheap and lightweight that we didn’t feel safe sitting on them. When we asked for an additional trash bag we were told that they were not included. Seriously? $4100 and they can’t provide a trash bag? Then there are the snakes. There is a notice in the kitchen to watch out for snakes. Well, what kind of snakes? Venomous? Harmless? What do we tell the EMT if someone gets bit? Do we even need to call the EMT? The location and beach are nice, but there are better options available.

Overall, our stay was wonderful. The location of this home is just perfect. It’s situated far enough away from the commercialized area , but close enough to town to get anything you need. We loved being right on the beach, enjoying our coffee on the deck each morning. The washing machine and dryer were so appreciated. The best perk was the outside shower and toilet. We didn’t have to enter the house with our sandy feet! The beds were all comfortable. Our one disappointment was the bedroom that was located below the house. We planned on each family having their own bedroom and bathroom, but no one could stay in that room. It was damp and musty, unfit to stay in. It also had no access to the house, you could only get to it from outside. I feel that should have been mentioned in the advertisement. We rearranged our plans for sleeping and made do with the 3 bedrooms inside the house. We had a wonderful stay and hope to return again.

Property is very nice and Gary Greene took care of the one problem we had very quickly. If there is a hard rain water stands in the doorway of the ground floor room which makes it hard getting in the room. The house is very well kept and has everything you need.
