I liked that it was walking distance to beach , I did not like that the ice machine was dirty , the tv was not clear to watch , no water pressure in shower, no shower mat and almost fell when stepping in tub. Pool area , elevator (only one working) , was dirty . Will change my next stay location to another place .

They were very nice at the desk and the room was very clean. The only thing that worried me was The bathtub was a little slippery so I put a towel on the floor in there so I wouldn’t fall

The property had changed hand and is now owned by comfort inn. They were in the middle of rehabbing and the rugs were filthy n the hallways. When I got to my room there was a knock on the door it was a worker who told me he just painted the walls and to be careful they should be dry in 3 hours. Not worth the money for the condition.

This place is in a good location for those who cruising out and staying for one night. However it was very unkept, the furniture was falling apart, everything was dirty. The floors were disgusting and lamps and the dresser were falling apart.

I liked the ability to walk across the street to the beach. Due to the renovations, the entire walk from the room to lobby smelled like paint and the hallways were littered with debris from the construction. The room was fine, enjoyed the balcony and view of pleasure pier. The bathroom had low water pressure and old rusty shower head. The breakfast was continental. We didn’t know that was basic breakfast like cereal waffles and breads. But the staff was friendly and helpful. Since the water was cold at the beach when we stayed we enjoyed they’re heated indoor pool.

It's obvious that they are remodeling, but a little clean up/vacuum would be suggested. I felt the price of the accommodations did not match up. However, Would stay again in a punch mostly because of the location. We live the Poop Deck

This property is undergoing extensive renovations. Had we known before hand, we would have stayed elsewhere. Zero decorations in the room, just empty wall anchors. Hallways, corridors, and lobby down to bare Sheetrock. All smoke detectors throughout hotel were missing. Wires hanging out of wall with wire nuts on the end. Staff was all but non-existent once checked in. I get that places need to be updated, however, this place should have been closed for such extensive remodeling. The Fire Marshal, would likely revoke occupancy permit if they knew all the protection devices were missing. Should be a nice place in a few months, just not at the moment.

This place was probably the worst hotel ive ever stayed at. Place was under renovation. Dirty, smelled terrible, toilets didn't work, mold on the fire alarm, exposed electrical wiring, half painted walls. Complete sh*t hole.

We had a wonderful stay there the day before our cruise. It was convenient since they were able to pick us up from the airport and took us to the cruise port the next day. Everyone was friendly at the hotel and it was close the beach, pier and restaurants. I would definitely stay there again.

They need some chairs outside under the entrance. Also, no garbage can outside and the one in the lobby was FULL. There were only 2 towels in the bathroom for a party of three. The front desk clerk was working in the laundry room. No welcome or hello. This place is not worth the money.

This was a disappointing stay as the hotel and amenities did not match what was portrayed online. No hot tub, even though it was shown in pictures (the staff advised they have been trying to remove those pictures for 4 years). The staff advised the exercise room and laundry room were also not currently available. People book hotels based on what they claim to offer, and we did not get what we paid for. The hallways were dirty, it looked rundown overall and there were cockroaches under our coffee pot when we wanted to make coffee.

after reading other reviews I was a little concerned about the cleanliness. However, it was clean, I did not see or feel any bugs. There are some places need to be painted, but they are renovating and looks like replacing all mattresses. they have a shuttle to cruise terminal for $10 per person and this was timely and professional.

Poor experience. In a nutshell the following, closet door didn't work, bathroom door wouldn't latch, no light bulbs in lamps, lampshades still had plastic wrap on them which had to be removed to prevent from burning of the light bulbs,phone didn't work,mold on the curtains from the A/C , A/C on 4th floor(my floor) was out, Ice machine didn't work. Facility guy took almost 2 hrs to show up.

My son and I really enjoyed our stay this past week, at Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Galveston Beach. It was great location to the Sea Wall. The staff, especially Angela was great! Definitely plan on staying again! Thanks.

Wait until the renovations are done
This hotel was under renovation. There were 5 floors and only the 5th floor had been partially completed, and they were working their way down. We were on the 2nd floor. The water did not get hot. The laundry and recreation room was closed as well. The breakfast area was full of boxes: And breakfast did not include meat, eggs, or yogurt; only cereal, juice, coffee and waffles. The bathroom and sleeping area, especially the curtains were full of mold. I would not have stayed here had I known this, but I let someone else make the reservation.

Severely lacking in maintenance and housekeeping.
Cleanliness was poor the hallways look like they haven’t been vacuumed in a month. Not sure if the hotel is pet friendly but it smells like animals. Overall condition is rundown.

Overall not bad
Overall, I would say our one night stay was acceptable and the service that we received made our experience. Initially, we were helped by a front desk agent who was incredibly friendly, quick and attentive. However, as someone who has stayed at a variety of hotel chains was more sub-par. The size of the room and bathroom were actually surprising but looking closely, we noticed that there was considerable wear and tear from time. As well, the room looked to be half cleaned. The bedding and bathroom looked like they were cleaned more than the additional space in the room.

It was what I needed. One night before my cruise left. But it was just a rundown place. Lamp shades broken. Toilet rickety. Smelled weird. But the water worked, sheets were clean, tv mostly worked. So I was happy enough.

While the staff was very friendly, the property however is extremely rundown. My room had a balcony door and the door frame was coming away from the wall, the toilet was loose from the floor, there was mildew buildup in the shower, stains on the sheets and some of the drawers on the dreeser wouldnt stay closed.

Ok-ish. Great location.
Ok-ish room, bed felt clean and comfy. Shower head in 204 needs replaced or cleaned- visible mold on it. Friendly staff. Heater in room needs serviced/cleaned (vents are moldy)

I liked it was close to the beach, but the linens were not clean and the place smelled really bad! I was there last year and it smelled like paint but this wasn’t a paint smell. I won’t stay there again.

We got to our room and there was mold covering the window and curtains. They moved us to a different room and there was mold covering the AC vent. I tried to clean it off but couldn’t get it all. When we asked for a refund, they moved us to a third room. The hallway smelled like vomit. We will NOT be staying there again!
