Bungalow aan het strand

Bungalow by the Beach, gebouwd in 1922, is een van de historische pareltjes van Galveston. Het beschikt over lichte ruimtes, vintage details en een interieur dat helder en vrolijk en ronduit leuk is! De bungalow heeft een comfortabele en chique Boheemse strandstijl en biedt de perfecte achtergrond om te genieten van kleurrijke tijden op het eiland. In de bungalow vindt u een woonkamer, eetkamer, serre (met een tweepersoonsbed), twee grote slaapkamers (met in totaal drie queensize bedden), een grote en bijgewerkte badkamer en een charmante rustieke keuken.

Een vorige eigenaar is een houtbewerker. en zijn talenten zijn duidelijk door het hele huis. U zult de zichtbare stenen balk, houten wanden en op maat gemaakte houten kasten, toonbanken en rugspatten in de keuken waarderen. De badkamer heeft een unieke houten douchewand (nogmaals dank aan die vorige eigenaar). De bungalow heeft ook een grote veranda en een omheinde en schaduwrijke achtertuin met een nieuw toegevoegd houten terras.

De bungalow ligt op slechts acht blokken van het strand (in de hoogste straat en op het eiland. Het is even handig voor Pleasure Pier, Moody Gardens en The Strand met al zijn winkels, restaurants en uitgaansgelegenheden.

Lovely Well Kept Property

Lovely historic home. The is comfortable and well kept, hard to think of it as 100yr old house. It is locate minutes away from most Galveston attractions, so it makes it easy to enjoy what the island has to offer.

Wonderful!

We loved our stay here! It was a great location with a short walk to the beach. We also walked over to the Strand from here (though that might be a bit too far for some guests to walk). Beverly was very kind and super easy to reach. Highly recommend this charming, historic, cozy bungalow!

SUPER CUTE BEACH HOUSE

This house is SUPER cute and very comfortable. The host, Beverly, is AWESOME. there was an AC problem the first night. I was going to wait until 8 to text her, out of courtesy. She noticed the problem since the thermostat is digital and texted me even before I messaged her. She had her repair person out, while we were gone for the day, and the problem was corrected when we returned home. I spoke with her several times as she was making sure everything was fixed and we were comfortable. We will DEFINITELY stay here again. Loved the house. Host is the best. Location was great. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could!

Adorable Bungalow

My partner and I had a great time here. The bungalow was absolutely adorable and exactly what we were looking for in a quiet weekend for two. It’s central location also made it a convenient distance to just about everything, downtown, the beach, etc. it all felt very close. Absolutely 100% perfection.

We came here to celebrate my daughter's birthday. The house is equipped with everything we needed to cook and be together. The beds are sooooo comfortable. Perfect get away

Beautiful bungalow just 1/2 mile from the sea wall. Very well stocked with kitchen items, spices, etc which made our stay even easier. Owner was very responsive. The owner even left a sweet card and a goodie basket for us (which my boys really enjoyed!). Beds were very comfy and the linens were great quality. We needed a place that would accommodate our fur babies as well, and the backyard is not only secure for them, but it was the perfect place for us to hang out to. The entire property was perfect! 10/10

Fabulous Bungalow by the Beach

Bungalow by the Beach, also named "Whimsy," is a treasure. It was built in 1922 and offers a rich history, evident in every room of the house. Beverly is a gracious host, providing not only the essentials, but many extra goodies as well, like a kitchen stocked with condiments, a spice rack, every utensil you could want, and a treat basket to delight the young and old. The bungalow is immaculately clean and beautifully appointed - not just a place to sleep, but a place to relax and enjoy. How I wish we had had more time - we will definitely return. Hated to leave the life after a week. Cottage is a good distance to the beach where we walked daily. One bathroom with shower and laundry sufficient for two close family but might be a stretch if at full capacity of 6-8. Wonderful fenced yard and easily pet-friendly stay.

We stayed in this wonderful home for 11 nights. The house itself is a vacation with its colorful furniture and decor. The front porch gives you a choice of seating with a rocking chair, glider, and a porch swing! Then there is the back deck where you can relax in adirondack chairs and view the palm-shaded grassy lawn. Inside, you will find a mix of styles - retro Americana, beachy tropical, and south of the border; somehow it all goes together beautifully. My favorite touch was the fiestaware dishes in every color. The matresses were all comfortable and the bathroom was stocked with high quality bath and beach towels. We cooked most of our own meals and appreciated the well equipped large kitchen complete with spice rack full of various seasoning. The house is centrally located -- about half a mile from the beach, a pleasant walk. On the days we took our young grandson to the beach with our umbrella, towels, noodles, etc., we drove our car and parked along the seawall which is only $1 per hour and free after 6 pm. The host is the best and most responsive owner I have ever encountered. We wish we could have stayed for the rest of the summer!

Wonderful get away

Beverly was absolutely amazing to communicate with! She was the most hospitable Ive ever experienced leaving us a nice note and snack basket that my kids found so fun!! She was inviting, warm and reassured us that our stay during this time would help keep us safe and enjoyable.
