'The cottage was pristine, we felt like we were the first guests. It is a spacious, comfortable and stylish property and the owner’s attention to detail is second to none. Large beds and great showers. Very quiet at night so we slept well. Large private garden. Warcop is a lovely village with good walks along the river & streams. The Chamley Arms around the corner was very welcoming but we just missed out on being able to eat there as they are starting serving meals in July. However we...

'Ideally located for Hadrian's Wall walkers and next to Milecastle Inn, we enjoyed one night's stay here. Very comfortable and we would probably choose to stay here for several nights if walking the national trail again. '

'Stayed here while we walked part of Hadrians wall. Ideal base. Beautiful barn conversation. The owners left us wine , biscuits and scones on arrival which was lovely. Would definitely stay here again '

'Een pracht van een appartement in een met zorg gerestaureerd gebouw dat ooit begon als onderdeel van de bescheiden wolindustrie.
The Old Woolhouse ligt aan een rustig straatje op een steenworp van de drukkere straten.
Bezoek de in bont zandsteen opgetrokken kathedraal en het aan de noordkant van de stad gelegen kasteel dat centraal staat in de Engels Schotse geschiedenis.
Carlisle is een ideale springplank voor de bezoeken aan het Lake District.'

'The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. My room for one person was spacious and comfortably. . I loved the small kitchen and the crumpets and jam !
The only minus point was there was no airco and the room was very warm even with the 2 fans that were provided on full.'

'Our stay at the New Inn 1730 was only overnight, and we arrived around 6pm on a Sunday evening. This is a welcoming & friendly pub, with restaurant and accommodation. The owner did his best to accommodate our needs during our short stay, and is still finding his feet a little having only recently taken on the business.
Food options were limited when we arrived, particularly for our two fussy children, so we did eat elsewhere that night, but the cooked breakfast in the morning was very good,...

'We recently stayed at this lovely cottage in Carlisle with my two children and had an amazing time. The place was spotless, cosy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The cottage had a lovely big garden with beautiful views, and there were some great walks nearby which we all enjoyed. The host was welcoming and made sure everything was just right. We would definitely love to return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!'

'Couldn't fault it in anyway, very well laid out with everything you would need, really comfortable & cosy. We were staying in Daisy Cottage, Daisy the Cow was the theme throughout which made our stay even more delightful. Thank you Phil & Linda Woods for a wonderful holiday.'

'Very convenient for town and only a few steps away from the Royal Oak pub. Stayed here as my mother lives around the corner. Would recommend. Easy access to the A66 and the Lakes only 40 minutes away. Locals very friendly.'

'Really loved out stay at Little Mell Fell. Great instructions to find it. Set up really well for either a couple or a family of 4. Love that it's pet friendly. Was really clean and felt relatively recently done. The location was great to get around Ullswater and out to the surrounding lakes. '

'Really fab. Great place to stay. Clean, warm and very well equipped. Nice touches - the owner left biscuits, chocolates and a personal Christmas card. Recommended
However, the property was badly let down by the agent - Sykes who provided poor service. The booking contract was with Hotels but I had to add an account with Sykes who then asked for an additional £13 for the basic booking. I had to spend some time talking and emailing to Sykes / Hotels to get it sorted. Poor set-up by Sykes with...

'This is a beautifully appointed shepherd's hut on the edge of a pretty and quiet village in the North Pennines. Lots of walking routes nearby and just a few miles from Appleby-in-Westmoreland.
We enjoyed our stay very much though were disappointed that the internet signal was so poor. The TV would not stream smoothly so not worth having it there at the moment. Still, this was a small sacrifice for the pleasure of experiencing tiny living life for a few days. Everything else worked really...

'We recently enjoyed a stay that had both positive aspects and a few areas that could use some improvements
Positive Aspects
One of the highlights of our experience was the **excellent communication from the host**. They were very responsive and provided clear instructions for check-in and check-out, which made the process smooth and hassle-free. It was reassuring to know that we could reach out if we had any questions or concerns during our stay.

'Absolutly gorgous hut, really quaint and quirky. Perfect bit of outdoor space with decking and grass for our dog. Lovely size hot tub and comfy bed.
Stunning views and perfect location for nice long walks. Local pub does beautiful food on a evening.
Only issue is that there could be a sign somewhere to advise where to turn off to get to the huts as we found it difficult to find.
We had a lovely, relaxibg few days, we would love to return.'
