  • Ongelooflijk ontspannend chalet in Zwitserse stijl gelegen in het prachtige Chalet Village in de stadsgrenzen van Gatlinburg. Volledig ingerichte woning, compleet met volledige diner service, keuken kookgerei en beddengoed. Volledig ingericht met alle apparatuur zoals vaatwasser, wasmachine en droger, koffiezetapparaat, mixer, broodrooster en oven.

    Twee grote en ruime dekken met uitzicht op een rustige bosrijke omgeving. Een kreek stroomt naast het huis en biedt een ontspannen achtergrond. Schommelstoelen bieden een geweldige verzamelplaats op het bovendek samen met een grill. Het benedendek biedt een digitaal bubbelbad voor vier personen en een schommelbank.

    Alle slaapkamers bevinden zich op de benedenverdieping. De hoofdslaapkamer heeft een eigen hoofdbad, terwijl een tweede badkamer de andere twee slaapkamers bedient. Alle slaapkamers hebben comfortabele queensize bedden met openslaande deuren die direct uitkomen op het benedendek. Alle slaapkamers hebben modern meubilair en beddengoed.

    De tweede verdieping is een grote open ruimte met openslaande deuren naar het bovendek en ramen in overvloed. Deze geweldige kamer geeft het gevoel direct in de bomen te zijn. Een biljarttafel is voorzien, samen met een 55 'breedbeeld LED-tv. Dit huis beschikt ook over gratis, onbeperkte lange afstand telefoon en gratis WIFI. Deze verdieping heeft nieuwe hardhouten vloeren. De keuken is zeer ruim met voldoende aanrecht en kastruimte, roestvrijstalen apparaten en aanrechtbladoppervlakken. Een grote stenen open haard verankert het midden van de kamer.

    Dit is mijn persoonlijke vakantie thuis en ik weet dat je blij zult zijn.

Very nice setting up in the mountains. My sister's and I enjoyed staying here. We did see a bear, although it wasn't at the property, but wasn't far. Steve was quick to respond to any questions. I would/will recommend others to stay here! Thank you for being a great host!

Great Place! Clean, Quiet, and plenty of Bears! Had to coax one out of our truck before we left!!! Wife left the truck door open when loading stuff to leave!

Wonderful house in amazing location. Just a few min from the park and gaitlinburg, but feels secluded when you are there. House was very clean, host was very communicative, but we didnt need anything because the couse was set up so well. Highly recomend!

Awesome Views

Wonderful place and had some good views. The host was very accommodating and I thank him for it. We did see some wildlife there. I will use this place in the near future again.

Love watching the bears

Love seeing the bears there was lots of them and a couple times we was locked in the cabin because one and her cubs was on the top deck.

Spring Break

We loved staying in your Chalet for our spring break trip. It was spacious and comfortable for our family. All amenities we needed were available and the pool table was a big hit with our 15 year old twins. The highlight of our stay was seeing a bear and her 3 cubs come down the mountain and across the stream.

The place is nice and clean. Spacious kitchen which we all love to gather with family.

I would not hesitate to rent this place again next time with my family. I'll give it 5 stars.

50th Birthday Celebration

This property was perfect for my families get together. The bedrooms were spacious and the house was accommodating. The highlight of our trip was all the daily visits from the bears. It was a perfect birthday week. Thank you so much.

Perfect Getaway!

The property was exactly what we were looking for. It was quiet, relaxing, and nature was abundant as we saw so many black bears come onto the property. Beautiful views of the sky at night. The roads up are a little sketchy but we took our time and got around safely.

Wonderful home!

This home is absolutely beautiful and in a even more beautiful location. The host kept in touch with us during our visit. Home was clean, and it is described accurately in the listing. We were even visited by the neighborhood baby bears. I definitely recommend this home if you want a beautiful, clean, spacious place to stay!

Wonderful cabin the woods

We had a wonderful 5 nights at this cabin! We met family from out of town and thoroughly enjoyed the quaint and quiet neighborhood! The drive up the mountain is fun and very hilly! And we got to see so many bears while staying here! Lock your cars! The hot tub was so relaxing after walking all day in town! Beds are comfortable and having laundry is wonderful! We will be back for sure!

Nice home.

Property was okay. Lacked some basic essentials in the kitchen (pot holders, baking dish) but overall was nice stay. Had awful aroma of the fire place that at times would get worse. (Didnt use bc its summer time) did have bears visit our 1st couple of days which we thoroughly enjoyed!

Relaxing Family Vacation

This was first time at this property. Owner was great to communicate with and did so promptly. You are away from the noise to relax and lots to do at the residence, but close enough any activities including downtown Gatlinburg in 10 minutes, Pigeon Forge 15-20 minutes away. Amenities were great. Pools were an easy drive to get to and very nice. Would recommend this to families especially with older kids and teens. Also if you don’t want to get out Doordash delivers. Very handy!

Unsafe, Poorly Maintained, Not Worth the Price We encountered a large bear immediately at arrival that had chewed through the exterior into the bedroom! The host knew about the extremely active bear situation but didn't warn us until 1.5 hours after check-in. Bears appeared daily. They got in & on cars. Security & maintenance were also terrible. The host gave US the EXACT SAME door access code used by the week prior guest. The roof leaked causing my daughter to slip. The cabin was worn and can use some TLC. Pans desperately need updated, door frames & shower tiles were coming of, kitchen sink wouldnt shut off.Instead of enjoying vacation, we spent the week dealing with wildlife personnel & repairs. Cleaning practices are concerning. Despite a large cleaning fee, guests must strip beds, empty fireplace ashes, wash & put away dishes.We were warned that dishes in the cupboards might be dirty bc cleaners don’t wash them. While we dealt with the bear breach, the host monitored his parking camera and falsely accused us of extra guests (neighbors looking at bear in trap). He focused on surveillance over our safety, then tried to back out of promised 1 day refund. Vrbo had to intervene to compensate us from their own funds after reviewing our safety, privacy, security, and other concerns. With bears breaching the house without warning, leaks, reused security codes, intrusive monitoring, and an unhelpful host, this stay was a nightmare. I would not recommend this property to anyone.

Perfect location

Loved this property! It was a super short drive to downtown Gatlinburg, Ober, and still fairly quick to get to Pigeon Forge, yet it was far enough from the chaos of Gatlinburg to be quiet and restful. It was convenient enough that we could go back to the chalet for breaks during the day. My family really enjoyed having a pool table and separate bedrooms. The space was clean and comfortable. If you plan to do much cooking I do recommend bringing a few of your own basic cookware. Pots and pans are provided, but like most rental properties guests are rough on them so it is nice to have backup.

Family Time

To future renters of Cedarbrook Chalet,please be aware in advance of VERY HEAVY BEAR ACTIVITY! We did not receive advance warning until the first morning of our stay when we received an email stating this fact. There were bears everywhere, at the Club pool on S. Baden and even in fact on our deck by the hot tub . We arrived on 6-2-23 and were supposed to stay till 6-8-23 however after several close ( within 20 feet ) encounters I have pictures and videos of one tried unsuccessfully to get into our truck cab. We called the landlord and told him then it happened on Wednesday morning we got up and saw a mother bear and 3 cubs and the mother had ripped oour truck tonneau trying to gain entry, again we called and reported it to the landlord and informed him we were leaving 3 days early, we never ask for any payment for damages because that's what our insurance is for however we did ask for the 3 day refund which he flatly refused!!! We did not follow every departure step as we very hurriedly gathered our things and left before the bear could do more damages. The Chalet itself was fine but take a warning In Advance, keep an eye on your children and property as it's on you.

Alpine Chalet

First I want to start with the positives. Steve is an excellent host. His communication is better than any house we’ve ever stayed at. The location is perfect! Close to Gatlinburg but secluded and quiet, nestled in the mountains. There is a house next door but we barely saw the people who stayed there. Coffee on the upstairs deck every morning was a highlight. And we saw bears…a mama and her 3 cubs. I do think there is some room for improvement here. We stayed in August. The humidity level downstairs in the bedrooms was awful! And there’s only 1 small dehumidifier, which we ran non-stop. It didn’t help. All of our clothes smelled musty when we unpacked at home. There are a lot of appliances in the kitchen, but not enough pots and pans. I struggled to cook dinner for 3 people. And the pots and pans that were there desperately needed replaced. I understand that this is a rental and people don’t take care of pots and pans at a rental, but this should be taken into account. Also, the fireplace smell upstairs is pretty intense. It seems like it needs cleaned out. This place has a lot of potential but needs some TLC.

Wonderful Place

It is in the most perfect spot to everything. It was very clean. We enjoyed everything about it. Steve is really great with communication it was seriously one of the easiest check in and check out places I’ve stayed in. Ski Mountain pizza was extremely good and they are very friendly. It was right down the road.
