Logeren bij Bear Sanctuary biedt een werkelijk unieke unieke historische Smokey Mountain Gatlinburg-ervaring. De kenmerken van de cabine - 4 slaapkamers met kingsize bed, 4 volledige badkamers met 2 aangepaste inloopdouches, geschikt voor maximaal 12 personen, 7-persoons bubbelbad, 3 dekken, alle walnoten hardhouten vloeren, echte knoestige dennen muren en plafonds, roestvrijstalen keukenapparatuur, 7 Flatscreen-tv's, tweepersoons slaapbank, koningin Futon, pooltafel, pokertafel en stoelen, granieten toonbanken, marmeren wastafels, op maat gemaakte kasten, open haard, verlichte en platte parkeergelegenheid voor 6 auto's, grote rookoven. Wildlife bezoeken vaak in de achtertuin van Bear Sanctuary. Bear Sanctuary ligt op 10 minuten van Dollywood en op minder dan 5 minuten van en naar het centrum van Gatlinburg en het Smokey Mountain National Park. Afhankelijk van de tijd van het jaar, zie je wilde kalkoen, herten, vossen, een verscheidenheid aan vogels, eekhoorns, konijnen, bobkat, coyote en zelfs mooie zwarte beren van mama en hun berenwelpen slenteren of dutten naast de kleine kreek in de beboste achtertuin. Property location was awesome- we had access to three different pools, which was perfect with kids! The property was in a more secluded area, but was filled with views of wildlife. We saw bears every single day multiple times a day up close, and we were able to see owls as well! Perfect mix of outdoorsy/fun plus great distance from the hustle and bustle! Host was extremely responsive, and great to work with.

A comfortable stay!

We enjoyed staying in this home!! We liked the space, it’s much bigger than what we thought and quickly felt like home! The pool table and 4 king beds were a big hit - mattresses felt like new, nice and firm. The big kitchen table was perfect for meals and playing games! The listing pictures of the bottom deck with the hot tub are not accurate, it must be from many years ago. The deck is not nearly that new and it was very dirty. The patio furniture was unusable, unless we wanted to wash it all down and we did not. Based on the conditions, we did not feel comfortable using the hot tub. The upper deck was clean and we sat on the nice rocking chairs every afternoon! The bugs weren’t bad at all! We seen a bear almost every day, which at first we thought was super cool!!! Until our little friend got too comfortable coming up to the house, our vehicle and once even snuck up behind my daughter while she was swinging on the porch. We tried to yell and honk at it, but it did not care. Based on the amount of trash that was spread around, this was definitely the bears favorite hang out! It should probably be relocated. Thanks for the hospitality! Overall, you have a beautiful cabin in a beautiful location!

Wonderful place to stay

We loved this cabin! I really just had 2 complaints that weren't really a fault with the owner. The laundry station is on the lower level, so I would recommend bringing a laundry basket. The internet connection was very spotty and went out several times while we were there.

Loved our stay in this cabin! Spacious and comfy bedrooms, very clean, great location, and great host. We were only there two nights but saw bears nearby each morning. Would stay here again!

Great cabin to see bears!

This cabin is very comfy and cozy with a very welcoming front porch. If you are looking for a cabin where you can catch a glimpse of a bear - this is it! Bears every day and even some mommas with cubs! We had a wonderful time.

This place lives up to its name. We were lucky enough to see bears 5 out of 7 days. The cabin was very clean and well kept. We had one small inconvenience and when I messaged the host, he responded within 15 minutes. I would 10/10 recommend this cabin to any family.

Excellent friends' getaway!

We spent four days in Gatlinburg and this home served as our home base. The house is beautiful, and was exactly as the posting depicted. Great amenities and plenty of room providing king beds and private bathrooms. Excellent location that afforded us easy opportunity to go into Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Our host maintained excellent contact that made us feel comfortable and welcome. Neighborhood was also great. Highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area. If we return to visit, I will book this house again.

Beautiful and cozy place!

Super clean, nicely decorated, and in a great location with easy access to Gatlinburg and Smoky Mountain National Park. Very quiet and peaceful. Our family had a great time hanging out at the cabin—relaxing in the hot tub, playing games, and shooting pool. The beds are incredibly comfortable. We would highly recommend staying here!

Great Spot for a winter Family Vacation

They were very responsive to any questions that we asked. The cabin is exactly as listed in the description. Very clean. The location is convenient to downtown Gatlinburg. Parking was on flat ground and a large area.

Family vacation

Great home! Accommodated us quite well. Visited multiple times a day by bears. A mama and two cubs, another mama and her 3 cubs, a few junior bears and one big brazen fella! Loved the location but wish I had a view of the mountains instead of the trees. Easy to get to downtown Gatlinburg, Dollywood and Caden Cove. I highly recommend this home!

Very spacious

The cabin is extremely spacious with everything being spread out on three levels. The living room/kitchen area was a great space for our group of eight. The kitchen is well supplied with everything we needed for the few meals we cooked there, and the large table accommodated us all. The drive up the mountain is not too bad in comparison to many Smoky Mountains cabins but we chose to be home before dark as

We enjoyed our 2 week stay at the Bear Santuary cabin and loved having the 4 king size beds. Stephen was wonderful returning any phone calls with our questions.. We had daily visits from the local bears and followed all the bear rules. 🐻 Look forward to coming again.

Perfect Location!

The Chalet Village location in proximity to the National park was absolutely perfect! We hiked several trails in the mountains almost everyday. The beautiful town of Gatlinburg was quiet, entertaining and also conveniently located to other areas of interest. The cabin was perfect for our family of 8, with plenty of space. We had several close encounters with black bears on the property during our stay, which was very cool to see, but you can tell that there must have been visitors to the area in the past that have not respected the locals warnings and advice on not feeding the bears. These guys are just looking for handouts, so please do not feed them for your safety and theirs. The cabin and unique setting were absolutely beautiful, so for future visitors, let’s help keep it that way for everyone’s comfort and enjoyment! Would absolutely stay here again, and so grateful for the wonderful memories we made:)
