I wish I had spent more to be placed in a better room than Classic.
Beware if you book this hotel that (1) the annex is separate building. The entrance is around the back of the building, and this is the only entrance to the annex that doesn’t require the ability to navigate stairs.
That being said, (2) for Europe, the elevator is large, but presumably that is because the annex contains the staff supplies on the first floor.
(3) The hotel has no AC. There is no room fridge, coffee machine, or toiletries beyond the shampoo/ conditioner/soap for body and hands. There are two water bottles left in your room, with no fridge, these are room temperature - at 28 on arrival - that means (hot).
(4) Asking for fresh towels felt like asking for a piano to be placed in my room. The evening front desk looked at me as if I was insane to ask this, told me he would have to call me, and couldn’t deliver. Towels? The cleaning ladies also fretted over this request, when asked whilst they were doing turn down services. Odd.
I was able to secure towels, against the will of two different staff members, it seemed.
(5) The largest complaint I have, however; is the bathroom I received for room 2205 was NOT at ALL what was pictured in the photos of the hotel…. it looks like a hospital bathroom. No toiletpaper holder - shower flooded the floor. Strangely placed handicapped bars. This bathroom was akin to a motel. Not photos - too appalled.
(6) Brian was the only good staff member.
