Lovely Location!
We had a really nice time at the retreat. We had a little snafu with some cleaning, but Richard kindly took care of us. Otherwise our stay was great! The property is well maintained and had everything we needed and more. The hot tub was perfect. My husband LOVED that there is a blackstone cook top for cooking! The only extra that would be nice would be additional towels for the hot tub. We would come back here again in a heartbeat!

Wonderful property
This is our second time staying at this property, we have really enjoyed our stay, both times. It is our "home base" for our Spring Break ski trips. Located close enough to many different mountains, it is a great choice if you want to check out a few different places within a few days. House is always clean and well equipped, the creek is always a favorite with our kids.

Great Georgetown Stay
The location was perfectly located to everything we wanted to do. Plenty of room for everyone and everything you need. The heating stove was our favorite thing about the place. The bonus is that Georgetown is a great little town with shops and really good restaurants. The Silver Brick was our favorite. We would definitely stay there again.

Great location and close to so many ski resorts! The wood pellet stove, grills, and fenced in backyard were great amenities for our 2 week stay. The kitchen was fully equipped and spice rack well stocked. We would stay here again!

Cozy and Good Location
The house was comfortable and we had lots of room to spread out. There is a small park across the street and it is an easy walk to the brewery and to the town. We were there on a crazy weather weekend and it felt good to be in a cozy house.

Georgetown for Christmas
We stayed in the same place 5 years ago. We enjoyed it the first time and we’re impressed by the upgrades that had been done. There will also some special touches like a Christmas tree, beautiful arrangement of holiday flowers, and bathrobes. The whole house is stocked with everything you could need. There were plenty of spices, pots, pans, dishes etc…. And the coffee and wine bar area made it very easy to prepare beverages. We will definitely stay again!!

Hallmark Thanksgiving Weekend
Great place to gather for holiday. This place has everything in the kitchen. From pots and pans to baster and thermometer for the turkey. Went into town (which is walking distance) for the tree lighting, on Saturday night, so quaint, the sweetest little town!

Property was AWESOME husband woke up every morning to fish in the river or lake, literally a 30 second to 1 min walk to the water. Any time of day was great fishing. Georgotwn historic part was so so close. Like less than 5 min drive. The house was set up amazing for a smaller family. 6 diff bed options. Bathrooms were clean and great sized. Kitchen had everything you needed. Front and back porch was perfect.

Quaint location for a hiking trip

Lovely location
The proximity to Clear Creek Reservoir is perfect. There are 8 in our family and anyone could walk down and fish anytime! Three days was not enough time to “do all the things” as one of the kids put it. The house was comfortable and the host is responsive.

Our stay at Clear Creek Retreat was great. The condo had many perks including a stocked wine bar, cooking supplies and a washer and dryer. The outdoor area was a nice addition. Communication with the owner and property manager was easy.

Lovely Home in Georgetown
We really enjoyed staying here while we skied several days around the area. It’s close to Loveland, and ABasin, Copper and Breck are about a 35 min drive depending on weather/traffic. The house had everything we needed for our stay. The dining table was perfect for playing games as a family, and the living room area was so cozy for just hanging out or reading books. Our two dogs loved running around in the fully enclosed backyard. We would certainly stay here again! Thank you Richard for such a beautiful retreat after a long day of skiing.

Wonderful Stay in Georgetown
We had a great time staying in the duplex. It is so nice and the pictures do not do it justice. The coffee bar and wine bar are thoughtful additions to the kitchen area and the large table made it easy to eat meals and play games after dinner. The living room was comfortable and we appreciated the Roku streaming as well as the dish TV. We loved the clawfoot tub in the upstairs bathroom and were wowed by the view of the stars from all of the skylights. The duplex is easy to find and Georgetown has plenty of restaurants and stores to get all that you need while still being very close to several ski resorts. We had a minor wi-fi issue come up during our stay and Richard was quick in replying and getting in contact with the provider and getting us back online. The outdoor area is private and the hot tub was fantastic after a long day of skiing. There were 2 fire pits available as well,but the burn ban and the snow kept us from being able to enjoy them. Two small changes would have been very helpful. We all used the hot tub and there weren't any beach towels, so we used the bath towels provided in the house. There were 7 of us and 6 bath towels which led us to do a lot of laundry every day. Luckily the washer and dryer worked great so this was a very small inconvenience. Having beach towels and a few more bath towels would be great! Everyone in our group agreed that this is one of the best vacation rentals we have been in and we cannot wait to come back!

Overall good experience. This is our second time renting this property. Would have liked to use the hot tub to soak aching muscles after skiing but the previous tenants broke it. For dining we enjoyed happy cookers, mountain mamas, and pho bay.

Great house for A Basin Ski Trip
This house was a great place to stay for skiing at A Basin. It was clean, had a hot tub, and plenty of space. It was about a 30 minute drive to the mountain. We would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable stay in convenient location
Nice roomy and quiet place in a cute one Main Street mining town. We were too late in the season to see the towns museum’s that shut down for the winter but used Georgetown as a base to visit the surrounding area. The Hot Tub was relaxing to come back to. Easy check in and very responsive to any issues or questions. We enjoyed our stay!

Fantastic rental
The location of this rental couldn’t be more perfect for a winter mountain adventure, and the “bonus” features of this property are fantastic. Dog friendly, fenced yard, off street parking, well equipped kitchen, cozy user-friendly fireplace, ski storage, festoon lights, incredible upstairs bath nook, wine available on arrival, I could go on and on. Loved the artistic details in decor such as the unique stair railing and wooden accent wall over the living room. Richard was a wonderfully gracious and communicative host - we hope to stay here again someday soon!

Great house in a central location to all the ski areas. Clean and comfortable with everything you need. Quiet neighborhood close to restaurants in town and shortly down the interstate. Property manager was easy to deal with and quick in response. Hope to come back again.

Holiday Ski Trip
We had a wonderful stay. The owner was very responsive and helpful and the unit was perfect for our needs. The kitchen was well stocked with all that one would need to cook meals including the many countertop appliances. The wine and coffee bar was great addition. We especially were appreciative of the coffe maker in the master. It was a great place and a great stay. Thanks for the hospitality and we’ll be back!

Great for families
Very comfortable and inviting. Room to spread out and enjoy time with family. While it was a bit chilly to be outside the backyard was a wonderful treat. First VRBO we’ve stayed in that was well stocked with dishes, pots, pans, dishes and utensils. Close to town yet away from the congestion of the city. We had a couple changes leading up to our stay and Richard was great to work with and accommodated our changes. Future VRBOs-you won’t be disappointed if you pick this property.

This stay was perfect for us....the arrangement of the bedrooms was great for our family because we have adult children and school age children. Everyone had privacy and there were still plenty of together spaces. The bathroom and backyard were spectacular and the proximity to the creek and lake made the location feel remote.

Very nice property, convenient access to I-70
Even better than expected! The kitchen and dining area are very nice, supplied with both coffee pods and coffee for a Keurig and Mr. Coffee unit. There's a TV in every bedroom connected to DISH, the TV in the living room is also connected to ROKU for streaming video. There are a few short steps to access the home via a nice deck, complete with a gas grill. It is nice having two bedrooms on main level, one of which has a door that opens to an impressive patio, complete with a gas grill and patio furniture and oh yes, a hammock! Upstairs is a very unexpected surprise with a beautiful shower, coffee bar and bedroom which we didn't use because there's only two of us, the home could certainly sleep a fairly large group with the second bathroom and the beautiful upstairs. Finally, the property is nestled in a mountainous area, very scenic! Would definitely rent this property again.

The place was better than we expected. We all had our own beds and loved sitting around the fire pit under the stars. We visited the mine and road the Georgetown railroad. Enjoyed dinner at Cooper's which was in walking dustance. Great location! We will definitely go back.

Lovely Property in Perfect Location
A friend visiting from out of state and I stayed the first two nights with my husband joining us the third. Access was easy and convenient with a code for entry, the home was clean, beautifully decorated and well-appointed with some of those things you don’t necessarily think to travel with like seasonings and coffee. All the rooms had extra blankets in the closets and space heaters if needed, each room had a TV and the upstairs was semi-self sufficient with a microwave and mini-fridge. The pet policy / fee was fair and the yard was perfect for our 2 small dogs with rocks carefully filling the gap between the fence and the ground giving us a secure perimeter for play. There’s patio furniture, a fire pit and a BBQ with large string lights to add to the atmosphere. The yard also gets daytime shade making it pleasant regardless of the hour. We walked to, all around and back from downtown and it was just over a mile each way. There’s a wonderful restaurant around the corner. The property owner was extremely responsive to any questions we had and we would highly recommend the property to anyone looking to explore this area or even just wanting a getaway. We could have never gone anywhere and been perfectly happy. The property sleeps 8 with 2 full beds up and 2 in 2 rooms down. The upstairs was the master with a table and chairs, extra large closet and bathtub. Greatly enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Great condo, great location
My friends and I stayed at this Georgetown condo while we hiked Mt. Bierstadt. It is a lovely location, walking distance to a few restaurants. There is a creek right outside the door, and a lovely park. The pictures really do not do this place justice - it is absolutely darling. A gorgeous little outside courtyard for enjoying a beverage after a long day. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you'd need to cook, and bathrooms had toiletries. We had several people check in to make sure we had all we needed which was unnecessary but so thoughtful.. Beds were very comfortable, as was all the furniture. Big gorgeous bathroom and tub to take a nice long bath after a day of hiking. Georgetown is a gorgeous little mountain town, we enjoyed the area very much!

Nice Weekend Getaway
Stayed here for the weekend for the Slacker Half Marathon in Georgetown. Great place with tons of room and beds to accommodate everyone (we had 6 adults and there were 4 beds plus some extra pull-out spaces we didn't need to use). Had everything we needed in the kitchen and all the amenities we needed. Short walking distance to Clear Creek or the lake and not too far from the Georgetown main streets too. Richard sent all the info we needed in advance and was very easy to contact. Would stay here again and reccomend to anyone as well.

Perfect Spot!
We had a wonderful time visiting in Colorado while we stayed at Clear Creek Retreat! The house was perfect for our needs and had many nice touches. It’s clear that the owner wants his guests to feel at home and be comfortable and we were! Being in Georgetown, we were centrally located to our day trip destinations. We visited Vail, Boulder, Red Rocks and spent a day just relaxing in Georgetown. We frequented Coopers on the Creek for meals which we recommend as well as this home and the Georgetown area. The only reason we give 4 stars for cleanliness is because the house is older. The bathrooms, kitchen, living areas and bedrooms were perfectly clean!

Thank you Denise for your review. A little puzzled about your comment on the age of the house. Being a Victorian era mining town, most of the houses in Georgetown were built in the 1800's. However, as you noted, the interior has been completely updated and I am in process of re-landscaping the exterior and adding an outdoor kitchen, hot tub etc.

Quiet and relaxing get away.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at The Retreat. The Vrbo had special amenities like a coffee bar in the on-suite master-bath, wine bar in the kitchen, a pellet fireplace and enclosed backyard, which was perfect for our dog. Thank you for hosting us!
