We verbleven in een prachtige villa met zwembad, toplocatie ad sunset zijde vh eiland. Zeer uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet. Vriendelijk personeel ! Alleen de gordijnen id kamer waren kapot, daardoor erg licht id kamer ‘s nachts, jammer voor zo’n tophotel!

Great sunset view
The hotel is located at the "quiet" side of the island. That's what makes it a great getaway if you're looking for total rekaxation. At the same time; if you're looking for more entertainment, restaurants, etc. It's better to book your stay somewhere on the east side of the island. The resort was nice and clean plus the bed was absolutely huge and comfy! Helpfull staff so no further complaints.

Het hotel ziet er prachtig uit. Kamers netjes en mega breed bed. Helaas was de staat van het hotel niet zo goed. Het toilet op onze kamer deed het niet en van de 3 publieke wc's waren er 2 out of order en de 3e had geen papier. Service was ook niet goed; op een drankje wachten was een kwartier heel normaal en wanneer we een warm blikje cola kregen, werd dit afgedaan met : it's normal sir. Terwijl we meestal wel redelijk gekoelde drankjes kregen.

Heerlijk hotel jammer alleen dat het rondlopend personeel weinig kennis van zaken had!!de drukte ligt aan de andere kant van het eiland, je kan fietsen lenen, zijn afschuwelijk pijnlijke oude fietsen maar het werkt!!het restaurant is overpriced maar smaakt oke, beter ga je eten op de avond markt bij de pier !! Vers gezellig en heeerlijk

Rustige locatie
Personeel was vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het hotel zag er goed en verzorgd uit. De kamer was groot en prima onderhouden. Echter kon er wel beter schoon gemaakt worden. Hier en daar ware nog plukken haar en spinnenwebben te vinden. Locatie was prima. Het lag in het rustige gedeelte van het eiland en het was gelegen aan de zonsondergang zijde van het eiland. Het centrum van Gili Trawangan was per fiets op 10 minuten afstand. De fiets wordt als service van het hotel uitgeleend. De bediening in het restaurant van het hotel kan veel beter. Wij en andere gasten van het hotel hebben meer dan een uur op ons eten moeten wachten. Uiteindelijk hebben zij een passende oplossing geboden.

Mooi hotel, slechte service!
Het is een erg mooi hotel maar behoorlijk slechte service. Wij kwamen rond 3 uur aan, onze kamer was nog niet klaar terwijl de inchecktijd 2 uur is. Ze zeiden dat het 20 min. zou duren. Mijn vriend was behoorlijk ziek die dag, 39,5 graden koorts. Had dit aangegeven aangezien er geen airco bij de lobby is. Maar dat boeide ze blijkbaar erg weinig, aangezien we minstens een uur hebben moeten wachten tot we onze kamer in konden. Bij de receptie geven ze aan dat het ontbijt tot 11 uur is (dit staat ook op je ontbijt voucher) echter loopt het personeel al op te ruimen vanaf 10 uur. En vanaf half 11 is het meeste eten al weggehaald. Ook hier iets van gezegd, maar wordt ook niks mee gedaan. Hier gaan we niet meer na toe!

Schitterend als je het een beetje rustig wilt
Schitterend hotel aan de westkust van het eiland. Zeer mooi hotel en het strand is helemaal van jezelf. Met de fiets die gratis te verkrijgen is in het hotel ben je op 10 minuten aan de oostkust waar alles te beleven is. Ideaal voor wie wat rust wilt op het party eiland :)

Stayed at Aston sunset for 5 nights. My experience was mixed. On the pros the room was well cleaned and well maintained albeit a little dated. Staff were friendly and very approachable. I would not stay again as a result of the cons. The breakfast was very poor. Bizarre options like calamari and katsu chicken. Dry pastries which did not taste fresh. Egg station was disappointing with eggs cooked in far too much oil. The location of the hotel is distanced from the main centre, bikes can be rented from the entrance to the hotel but they are in very poor condition with no breaks, rusted chains, no gears, flat tyres so don’t make for a very good ride around the island. Perhaps try renting from elsewhere! When eating in the restaurant for lunch and dinner food was okay but service very slow! Overall mixed experience, we used the facilities in other nearby hotels for pool days and this felt much better and more of a 4* experience compared with Aston.

We stayed in a one bedroom villa. The room was very clean, aesthetic, and had a large bathroom. The staff were lovely and attentive across each of our interactions. Adi in particular was very helpful and kind. Our only piece of advice would be to get to the breakfast early to ensure the food is warm and fresh (however that being said the breakfast was still good)!

Stay at Aston was great, both my girlfriend and I felt very safe and comfortable. The property including pool was very nice and our room was big and well air conditioned. The staff here is excellent, and had helped me get my bank card back when I stupidly left it in the ATM. Things are a little pricier than advertised, so be aware. For example breakfast in the morning is 150K, as opposed to the 100K we were expecting (Just ended up heading in to town for cheaper options) and bike rental is not included. There is some people out front who rent bikes for 50K but 2/3 times we rented them they were pretty busted up. Overall, Aston was a great place to crash on the island, even though there is much cheaper options.

We were very happy to be on this side of the island. The room was spacious and clean, the breakfasts were decent, the pool was great, and we really appreciated the water to cut back on plastic. The movies on the beach were a great concept. The biggest positive is the staff. They had to contend with some precocious and unpleasant folk who appeared to believe the lottery of birth, and did so with grace. First rate

It's a resort that looks like it has a history. Everyone is keeping it clean. It's not a snorkeling point, but there's a beautiful sunset and the pleasure of a late-night movie.

The pool was huge and staff very friendly and accommodating. Evening outdoor movies on the beech were great. Is on Gili trawangan so bike is the best way to explore as it is away from noisy downtown.

The best part about this hotel was the customer service from the staff, especially Komang. As soon as I arrived, Komang made me feel immediately welcomed. He is friendly, smiling, polite and warm. Every time I passed in the lobby, he made sure to acknowledge me and made me feel at home. When I checked out, he was very accommodating and helped me with many requests. From start to finish, Komang made me feel taken care of at this hotel.

Just ok, unfortunately
The hotel is located on the side of the island where you see beautiful sunsets and away from the harbor and bars. They offer buffet at the beach, but the food is just ok. The wifi only works well in the lobby, not in the rooms. The bathrooms are extremely outdated and the design of the shower and toilet where water on the floor can get mixed between the two is disgusting.

Hôtel désuet et sale mais hyper bien situé
L’hôtel est désuet et sale, il n’a pas du être entretenu depuis des années. Il y a beaucoup de dysfonctionnements dans la chambre, les lieux communs sont sales. Le personnel est clairement non qualifié, ils ne savent jamais répondre, on a l’impression qu’ils débutent tous. Le spot en revanche est absolument magnifique, la restauration est correcte sans être très bonne pour autant, et 2 films récents sont programmés sur la plage tous les soirs (beach cinema). Dommage que notre dernier soir un teambuilding absolument ridicule et bruyant (+++) ait été organisé, ça a dérangé tous les clients ne faisant pas partie de l’entreprise ayant son teambuilding (peut être 2/3 d’entre nous?) En conclusion: dommage, le management de cet hôtel laisse à désirer et gagnerait à être repris en mains par des professionnels.

Just ok.
This hotel was just ok. Staff made it as good as it was. It’s condition is failing. We had a few things not great in our private villas but staff did try very hard to rectify it. It was quiet. The beach was nice. The food and restaurant was just ok. Likely wouldn’t stay here again.

Upgraded for our honeymoon for free. Honestly this place has a special place in my heart. Movies on the beach and just a beautiful stay.

Super ophold på Gili
Super fint sted på Gili - beliggende på stranden - super venligt personale. Blev opgraderet undervejs, da vi var heldige at ramme off-peak. Kan absolut anbefales, også ift. pris.

Skønt resort
Super service, smuk have og pool, men det havde været skønt om sengen havde myggenet. Det er irriterende med myg som æder en om natten. Dejlig morgenmad.
