Private Retreat biedt eenzaamheid en ontspanning

  • Welkom bij Cedar Springs Reserve. Het pand is 170 hectare groot en omringt 398 hectare ondiep meer en wetlands. Als je van vissen houdt, zijn er baars en bluegill om uit de lelies te plagen, maar je zult hard moeten werken om ze te vinden.

    Er is veel wild. Fantastische slangen op slechts enkele minuten afstand. Professioneel opgeleide privékok ook beschikbaar.

    Kano's en kajaks beschikbaar. De hele faciliteit wordt momenteel gerenoveerd, verwacht nieuwe vloerbedekking, armaturen, apparaten.

    De ruimte
    Uitgespreid in een comfortabele King Master Bedroom met een eigen zithoek, tv, kast en ensuite badkamer. Een tweede koningin slaapkamer wacht met een volledige kast, tv en een eigen buitendeur. De "Hardy Boy Room" beschikt over twee aparte bedden, bureau en kast. Er is een zolder met nog twee eenpersoonsbedden. We zijn voortdurend bezig met het afwerken van de details, dus onze excuses dat nog niet alle gebieden compleet zijn. We zullen de komende weken foto's toevoegen, verschillende gebieden zijn voltooid.

    De woonkamer is open concept, met een gashaard en satelliet-tv en komt uit op een groot dek.

    Ons huis heeft nu surround sound met Bluetooth, zodat u uw eigen muziek kunt spelen en ze zullen geweldig klinken.

    Gast toegang
    Gasten kunnen de volledige eigendom hebben, behalve de opslaggarages waar we onze apparatuur bewaren. Er is een tent buiten waar we onze houtstapel houden voor onze bouwmaterialen, geef kinderen de opdracht om dat vrij te houden. We hebben bijvoorbeeld geen reclame gemaakt voor een grote bar / serre waaraan wordt gewerkt maar die nog niet gereed is voor bewoning.

    Andere dingen om op te merken
    Onze plek is nog niet 100% perfect, want er zijn veel geplande voorzieningen waar we nog steeds hard aan werken. De serre is niet compleet, het dok moet nog worden verbeterd en de hot tub / paviljoen is nog in aanbouw. De hot tub werkt, maar heeft nog niet het paviljoen dat we aanpassen al gedaan, het is functioneel maar niet erg "mooi". Er is een tent buiten waar we het hout houden waar we aan werken (al het hout dat we gebruiken is van het terrein en moet worden gezaagd en gezaagd, met de hand geschild, zodat je veel dingen ziet die aan de gang zijn)

Overall a cute place to stay; as the owner states, it’s is a work in progress, so some unfinished projects, but the owner is transparent about that.…our adult kids loved the hot tub.

The property was amazing! Down a long private driveway, great space to play yard games, kayaking and canoeing had a great set up. We like to cook our meals during a vacation and the kitchen had a great set up which we really appreciate. There were horse flies but not all the time. The porch was a favorite spot and the kids loved reading in the hammocks. Loved the piece and quiet. Great local winery and farmers market just a short drive away.

Secluded getaway

We enjoyed the property and our time there. It was secluded and very private. Cabin was beautifully decorated, comfortable and had most of the items we needed for our stay. Spent some time near Shawno swimming at the beach and did some hiking at Shute Pond. Lots of great places to eat nearby.

We came to Gillette for the Roy Hubbard Memorial Truck Show. Location was awesome. The home is beautiful but way to many cobwebs and could of left a couple more rolls of toilet paper. Having access to the row boat was fun. To bad the weather wasn't great but the family time was. Thank you

Winter Getaway

We had a lovely time! We wanted a private weekend to relax and that's exactly what we got. The dogs loved to romp around the property and we loved the warm fireplace and hot tub to come back to. You could feel the home was built with love and care and made for the perfect weekend!

It was a quiet and relaxing place. Birds were migrating, the first weekend in April. It was a little muddy, so bring your mud boots, binoculars and field book is required.

Weekend Stay

Property was clean, comfortable, spacious, and had everything we needed for a weekend stay in the Shawano area. Turning off the highway onto the gravel road and traveling between the neighboring farms, we didn't know what to expect, but quickly found ourselves among the trees and next to the water for a secluded and private stay. The house itself was constructed and is well cared for and loved by the host's family - it was really cool to see pictures of their efforts in the guest book. The hosts were communicative as necessary, but also left us to enjoy our stay in peace.

Wonderful northern getaway

Cabin property was just as advertised. Great getaway with homey touches of full kitchen and outdoor gas grill on the deck. We had beautiful weather and spent much of our time relaxing at cabin, kayaking on lake, or taking short adventures to places like Shawano Lake County Park or Cathedral Pines Nature Preserve. Each evening we topped off by watching the sunset and listening to frogs at our own bonfire with s'mores. Afterwards, we relaxed in the hot tub before heading in for the night. Look forward to visiting the place again and seeing what new features are added to the place!

July 10 - July 14, 2024 (Crissy’s Bday weekend)

We had a wonderful stay. The cabin is beautiful and secluded. Lots of amenities and thoughtful details throughout to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The pictures don't do this property justice. There's private access to a lake with kayaks for fun. There's a small boat too, but we found the kayaks easier to maneuver around the lily pads. There's also a private hot tub that's perfect for starting your day, or finishing it off. We had such a grateful time here and would highly recommend it for anyone looking to get away from city life, it's very quiet, clean, and disconnected. Warning, the wifi is very bad (they recognize this upfront) so just be aware. It's nice to stay in touch with family and friends, but because it's such a remote location, I guess this remains a challenge. Thank you Jim and Yana for sharing this diamond in the rough with all of us.

Nice Getaway Stay

This property is great. If you really want to be away, you can be totally away. Jim was really easy to work with and responsive. The house was very clean when we arrived. Nicely appointed and everything worked as expected. As someone who cooks, there could have been more variety in the utensils and accessories in the kitchen but the knives were sharp and pans are good quality. As described the house is still under renovation so if you want a pristine property, it’s not there yet, but it’s safe and the construction materials are neatly stacked and don’t take away from anything. There’s a great photo story of the renovation and it’s absolutely amazing what’s been done to the house. When the three season room is finished it will be great addition to what is already a great experience. It’s a very short walk to the lake but you have to go out on the water for views. No worries on that, kayaks and life jackets are easily accessible and in good condition. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend that if looking for a great and quiet getaway, this property is great. It’s a cabin in the woods, a very nice cabin in the woods.

Great Stay!

Our crew had an excellent time here and are looking forward to coming again! The property is very private and we had endless space to ourselves. We really enjoyed spending time kayaking/canoeing/paddle boarding on the small lake connected to the property. We also rented and pontoon boat for the day on Shawano Lake for a very reasonable price only about 20 minutes away from the property. Our group had brought our bikes as well and had a fun time cruising around the area. The hot tub was a nice bonus feature and the enclosed area around it was a great way to enjoy being outside at night while avoiding the bugs! The property was as described in the description and Jim and Yana were very responsive throughout the entire process and great to work with. The interior of the home is complete and there are some cool upgrades in the works for other additions to the home and for the exterior. Our group is excited to come back in the future and see the progress that has been made! The price point was excellent and we felt our needs were more than met! We loved all of the natural wood in the place and the small details such as the hammock hanging in the main room were a fun touch. We are looking forward to using this property again in the future!
