The village of Gingst with shops and restaurants is 3 km from Rattelvitz. Gingst has retained its historical character to this day thanks to its once medieval hustle and bustle. Not only the circular market square with its houses, but also the craftsmen's workshops still show the village as a former centre of craftsmanship on Rügen. The special thing about the location of Gut Rattelvitz is the absolute peace and quiet; you will be woken up by birds in the morning. It is not uncommon to see hares or deer grazing in the meadows around the estate.Hikes and cycle tours can be started directly from the house due to the proximity to the forest. For example, you can cycle to the beautiful island of Ummanz, which is 6 kilometres from Rattelvitz. There you can swim on a small beach or take advantage of the windsurfing facilities. If you would like to spend a day at the beach, we recommend driving 37 kilometres to the Baltic Sea beach of Juliusruh. A beautiful long white sandy beach awaits you there, which is the ideal destination on a warm summer's day. A few kilometres from Rattelvitz you have the opportunity to go horse riding. The centre of Gingst with its restaurants and shops is just 3 km from Rattelvitz. Here you will also find Rügen's largest leisure park, which is definitely worth a visit. The large park-like gardens surrounding the estate offer plenty of space to sunbathe and relax. Read a good book outside in the garden or simply enjoy the nature around you and let your mind wander. On warm summer days, you can have breakfast or a barbecue in the privacy of your own outdoor seating area.
