'Just got back from 3 nights at the Lakeside Hotel. Beautiful hotel and the scenery Lakeside is amazing. So peaceful and so nice to retreat to after a day in places like Bowness.

The room was spacious and comfortable with a shower and bath.It was very quiet.Breakfast in the morning was great and heather made us feel so at home.

'Absoloutely lovely central location. The staff on the bar were fab blokes (a young lad who’s name I didn’t catch and a chap I believe was called Richard). We had the chicken parmo share board and I could eat it again and again.

'Arrived late evening and was met by a very friendly receptionist, who sorted out everything very quickly. The property is being upgraded and therefore has building going on, how's the room was of a really good standard and very clean. I was very impressed. The breakfast was good and had a good choice. Will use again and definitely recommend it.'

'Lovely house very friendly owners. I was told everything I needed to know, on arrival. I was in a back bedroom and had no problem with traffic. Single room is nice size with nice bathroom.

'We checked in to this beautiful old inn, and were greeted by owner Johnathan, we were shown to our room and told if we needed anything just ask. Being the winter the kitchen is closed Monday and Tuesday which Johnathan apologised for, we replied it’s absoulutly fine. He told us of the local Chinese just up the road and said please feel free to bring it back to our room to eat, which we did.

'We really enjoyed our stay here. Didn't get to sleep til late as there was a private function but this isn't anybody's fault we were staying in a pub and expected noise. The room was lovely, very nice coffee! The staff were friendly and polite.
No real parking available but we managed to find a space fairly close by.
