Wine Country Luxury met Sonoma Mountain View

Olive Glen is een vakantiewoning op Sonoma Creek in het prachtige Glen Ellen, Californië, op enkele minuten van de wereldberoemde wijnmakerijen van Sonoma Valley en Napa. Dit prachtige privé-huis ligt op bijna een hectare grond met uitzicht op boomtoppen, Sonoma Mountain en Sonoma Creek. Het huis wordt overschaduwd door volwassen olijf- en redwoodbomen. Het beschikt over een volledig uitgeruste keuken van de chef, comfortabel voor meerdere koks, zonne-energie, een laadstation voor elektrische auto's, een home entertainment center, een overdekte eethoek voor 6 personen, teakhouten eettafel, gas open haard, hardhouten vloeren, wijnkoeler , luxe beddengoed, moderne inrichting en nog veel meer. Het eigen bad van de hoofdslaapkamer heeft een gigantisch bad. Alle woonruimte is op een niveau, dat uitkomt op een 1500-vierkante voet dek met gebieden om te loungen, een teakhouten eettafel, een gas-BBQ en zuidelijke blootstelling voor de hele dag zon (meestal). Het deck is een perfecte plek om te genieten van een glas rosé en een goed boek te lezen (er zit een PS4 in als dat niet jouw ding is). Er is voldoende parkeergelegenheid voor maximaal drie auto's. Een favoriete functie is de verlichte en overdekte speelkamer, compleet met een pooltafel, ping pong en darts.  

Olive Glen ligt op ongeveer 800 meter van uitstekende eetgelegenheden in het dorp Glen Ellen, waaronder de veelgeprezen Glen Ellen Star, Jack London Saloon, The Fig Cafe and Wine Bar, de Glen Ellen Inn en Yeti.  Er zijn tientallen wijngaarden, wijnkelders en wijnproeverijen in de buurt, verschillende op loopafstand.  Het gebied is ook perfect om te wandelen, fietsen, fotografie en te ontspannen.  We hopen dat je net zoveel van Olive Glen en Glen Ellen geniet.

Hoewel we wel van huisdieren houden, staan we bij Olive Glen geen huisdieren toe.

We had an incredible stay over a long weekend and were able to visit both Sonoma and Santa Rosa and a few wineries in between. We got a lot of use from the pool and game room area and we found the neighborhood peaceful and relaxing. Owners were great with communication and the home is stocked with everything you need. Great location and outdoor space

We were disappointed in the living room layout for socializing. There is an extra chair in the old photos and new photos of this property that is not there. We had to bring outdoor folding chairs inside to use as the sofa is not very practical. We apparently did not read the fine print about the 3rd bathroom being located outside for the pool area and not inside for the 3rd bedroom. It was inconvenient unfortunately. The house is in a great location and the outdoor space is really nice.

Fabulous Getaway!

The town of Glen Ellen is darling and this house was perfect! Group of 6 was just right. The outdoor space with pool and hot tub was super fun with great views and the kitchen was fully equipped. Also really loved the double vanity and cute tub in the master bedroom bath! Owners were super responsive as well.

Perfect Location for a Sonoma Getaway

This was a great property. Most importantly, it is in a central location and a short distance from many Sonoma County wineries, while also being a short drive from SF. The view of the mountains and vines on the property are also a nice touch. Check-in was easy and the host was incredibly responsive to all communications. The house was well cleaned and full stocked. Bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen were all clean and well maintained. The newly built pool area was a perfect way to cool off on the hot afternoons. The outdoor shower, inflatable chairs, and other pool amenities provided by the host made the pool convenient for everybody. The shaded game area next the pool was also a great hangout spot for people that wanted to be pool-adjacent. 10/10, would rent again.

A comfortable house in the countryside

The house is new and fully equipped, clean and very comfortable. The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen has everything that one might need, the deck is large, and it opens onto a wonderful view of the countryside. The location is also quite good with easy access to the small town of Glen Ellen with its restaurants and shops. We rented an EV and were pleased to find a charger on the property. While the house had an easy to read and helpful booklet, the owners were very responsive to questions. They met us upon arrival and gave us a very good tour of the house, inside and outside, they were available to answer questions and they made many excellent recommendations about restaurants and places to visit. While the house is on a small but busy road it is set back enough that we were not bothered at all by any road noise. There was construction being done in the back yard where a pool was being installed. While the construction was stopped during our stay, it did limit our access to the outdoor area and it impacted the view.

Lovely and relaxing

Five of us celebrated my daughter’s 30th birthday by staying in this lovely home and visiting nearby wineries. The house is very well appointed, fully stocked and Melissa was very helpful, with detailed welcome information and by quickly responding to any questions. Even though the road could be busy, we didn’t hear it inside or out. Everywhere we wanted to go was easy to get to and we were glad we had a car, as the road isn’t pedestrian friendly, especially after dark. We all agreed we would stay here again, without question!
