Thank you so much for the review! Yes, it is very frustrating when people do not read the ads to know that they are separate bathrooms. I really wish Expedia would put it at the top of the ad in big bold letters, but we are all at the mercy of Expedia since they do the ads.

Julie, I have no idea who you are because we do not have anyone that stayed under the name Julie but we did look back in the posting and I'm sorry you missed it it clearly states under bathrooms there are zero bathrooms and in big bold letters it states that there is public restrooms. In case you were unaware, this is a 1936 Lodge that we just restored and it has been closed for 40 years, so yes unfortunately some of the building back then was not perfect.

I am so sorry you did not call to get directions. We are on the main highway at mile. Post 123. Not sure why you couldn't find us. Unfortunately, we do not control Expedia. Not sure why you're leaving for a negative review because you got lost?

Linda we are sorry you did not read our ad on Expedia. We even went out of our way to show you that it clearly states we do not have bathrooms yet. We have just now restored a 1936 Lodge and are well and septic of the last two things to be installed. And blows us away people want to get bad reviews for something they did not read. And that big hole in the ground is are well and septic going in! You were unhappy from the moment you got here because you did not read the ad that is clearly stating that there is no bathrooms but instead of having an out house, we actually have flushing toilets, but because once again, you did not read the ad!

Yes, remodeling in 1936. Lodge has been a wonderful challenge. We just purchased it last October and have already opened. Many people do not read the ad where it states there are no bathrooms and they are public bathrooms. It is our last utility to install, which is the well and septic. Thank you for staying

I am sorry you did not read the entire ad at the very bottom of Expedia clearly states we do not have bathrooms in the room and they are outside not only do the bathrooms have running water which is the sink and they do have flushing toilets. nowhere in our ad do we stay we have showers or bathrooms, nor do I picture show that we have bathroom our rooms. I am sorry you did not read our ad.

Yes, unfortunately Catherine, a lot of people are not reading the actual ad. It clearly states that they are outside. As many of you know we are restoring a 1936 Lodge and it is the last thing on our list is the well and septic. But we cannot be to blame for people not reading what are property has, and what it doesn't. Our pictures clearly show there is not any bathrooms in the rooms. Then we go onto actually show that we have bathrooms outside. We just opened two months ago so I do want everyone who books with us to please read the ad.

We are so sorry you did not read the description on the ad through expedia. It clearly states we have bathrooms and not in the room. We have notified Expedia of your complaint through Hotels.com. We did everything in our power to make your stay comfortable. Maybe next time you should have an interpreter so you understand English and our descriptions. We know we had a hard time with you not understanding english.

We completely agree with your assessment. But unfortunetely, we are at the mercy of Expedia’s platform. I have asked that they put us on the map at MilePost 123 but insist we are in Glennalllen. Then we asked them to state portable bathrooms and they add it to our rooms. I am sorry for all the confusion. Only restoring this 1936 Lodge 8 months ago, we still have some bugs to iron out. Hope you had a great trip out of Alaska.
