'A beautiful shiny new hotel with well thought through design and such aesthetic decor. The staff were helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant stay. The roof top bar was a definite plus, with fab views, it just made the weekend for me and my friend who had a long overdue catch up. So close to the station, an easy weekend away.'

'This hotel is a historic building that is showing a few signs of age on the outside. There are the inevitable multiple changes in floor level through the building. We had a small ground floor room so avoided the steep stairs. The shower was very small. The room was quiet, looking out onto the carpark. Parking was free. 'Perhaps I made the wrong choice but I did not enjoy my night and left before my (paid for) second night. There was one light in the room, a table lamp that was damaged and could not be altered. There were supposed to be towels in the showers but they were face flannel sized. I am really not sure what the people running the facilities were trying to achieve, but it was uncomfortable and unpleasant. Never again.'

'The room was adequate for our overnight stay. The shower was really good and all the basic usual were there. The welcome from Nadine was excellent as well as the rest of the staff. We really enjoyed the breakfast, thank you Chef. Overall the Linden Tree is a good, basic stopover, especially if staying overnight after watching the Cherry and Whites.'
