'Having arrived in Cerchiara di Calabria for an overnight stay our original hotel booked 'Villa Santa Maria' was a total let down as there was no one at the hotel! He was welcoming and made us feel like we were in his home. We enjoyed a beverage in the hotel lounge and the homemade breakfast cakes and cookies with our expresso and cappechino in the morning. The dinner and the hotel were a nice break on our drive from Positano to Sicily. '
