This home was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. We loved the decor and examining the historical logs making up the cabin. It was so peaceful and quiet - a great getaway from a hectic week!

ND Football Weekend… JUST WOW!
I like to stay in unique places anytime we travel. In this case we were heading to South Bend for the ND game against Wake Forest. I would love to stay close, but the OVER INFLATED prices for hotels on game weekends is pretty ridiculous. I searched VRBO and found this listing. I glanced at a map and I thought it wasn’t that far away. After a long drive we stopped at campus quick then headed to our Log Cabin. Tired of driving it seemed like it was taking us forever to get there… then we got there. Walked in and flipped on the lights… JUST WOW! We knew immediately that we hit the jackpot with this stay! Rustic and modern at the same time. Instantly calming and inviting. We didn’t do well with food supplies so we had to go get some supper, but I’ll be honest we didn’t want to leave. Every room is decorated perfectly and this place is super clean. It is extremely well stocked for utensils, cookware, and toiletries. It’s obvious the hosts care about their guests a great deal. We had the chance to enjoy a small bonfire on one beautiful evening. And of course the HOTTUB! I’m a sucker for a hottub and this one out one the middle of nowhere under the stars was the cherry on top! I used it every evening and morning… perfect way to start and end a day! The cabin is on the owners property, but you never feel like they are around. Perfect Place to stay!

Girls Trip
Really enjoyed the cabin for a short girls trip. It was well equipped for having all the comforts of home in great historical cabin! Beds were comfortable, shower worked great, filtered water at sink, coffee and tea provided. The hot tub was great and clean; there are some jets that didn't seem to work; however, it didn't impact our trip. We never ran into any other people on the property and felt like we had adequate space and privacy.

Terrific in every way!
We never had to interact with the owners because they had given very clear instructions and expectations! I'm sure they would have been charming and pleasant like their property! It is such a pleasing mix of old rustic charm and modern up-to-date amenities. We are so glad the hotels in Shipshewana were booked and we had to look elsewhere! Perfectly clean - biggie for me. You can tell it is well loved and taken care of. Comfortable in every way. Hubby found the football game he wanted to watch on the tv. Grands loved the hot tub. I had plenty of light to knit. Can not think of anything else it needs! Good water pressure and soft water. Filtered water too! Didn't do any cooking but looked like everything provided. We will definitely look to come back especially in the fall with the gorgeous colors all around! Thank you Melody for sharing your log cabin.

ND Weekend
This was a fun getaway, well prepared for our stay. We planned for a big ND Football weekend with friends and family and the cabin was very nice and a pleasant home base in between the revelry! Great setting and easy access for us only about 30 mins from campus.

Close getaway
This was only one hour from home. Usually we travel 5 hrs. We only stay at places with a hot tub. This cabin was fantastic ! Very clean, well appointed, romantic and charming. They thought of everything. We had to contact the owner about something and she was there in 5 minutes. They live nearby. The views from the wrap around porch were great. The hot tub was a dream. Although it seemed we were in the middle of nowhere it was only a 10 minute drive to major stores and restaurants. We highly recommend this cabin. We will definitely be returning.

Fantastic log cabin
The log cabin was fantastic. We felt like we were staying in a piece of history; but with air-conditioning 😊. Us guys are engineers and thoroughly enjoyed discovering how the cabin was originally constructed. The serenity of looking out over the corn-field in the early morning was delightful. An electrical storm knocked out the internet service but Melody was prompt to get us back on line.

A beautiful spot to relax
A friend and I met in Goshen for a few days of idyllic relaxation in this beautiful area and on this lovely property. The cabin was very clean and well appointed. Lots of attention to detail for renters' comfort. The wrap around porch and the hot tub were such a treat and we enjoyed sitting on the porch during a rain storm and listening to the water hit the metal roof. The bedrooms are very comfortable and we slept so well in the quiet countryside. There is lots to do in the area. We'd love to come back to stay again at the cabin.

Multi-generational Girl's Trip
Everything about this rental was superb! The cabin was exceptionally clean, even meeting the VERY high standards of my mom! The kitchen and bathrooms were well-stocked, providing many of the same comforts of home. Evening soaks in the hot tub with quiet views of nature was a favorite daily activity for my daughter and I; The added bonus of having beach towels provided for the hot tub was much appreciated! This cabin is a true gem! It’s immaculately clean, well stocked, and the perfect blend of history with modern conveniences. From plenty of blankets for a chilly evening …to a wonderful claw foot tub to soak your cares away….to a large, clean hot tub complete with towels….to a porch swing with an amazing view, this cabin has it all! Charming Cabin
We were visiting family in Syracuse and loved escaping to our historic cabin at night and soaking in the hot tub. Decorated and appointed beautifully! Would love to learn more about the history. There were many years of guestbooks and our crew was intrigued by the small first cabin on the right as you drive in. We thought that was ours at first and got nervous bc there were 6 of us! Wish we could’ve spent more time there but it was way better than a hotel!

The property was amazing! The hot tub was perfect for hanging out in at the end of the day and early morning. We saw deer and lots of birds in the morning while eating breakfast on the porch. The beds were in great shape as well. Everything was wonderful!

Perfect Weekend Away
Already planning our next stay at this place! Everything was exactly as described. The beds were memory foam and extremely comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed and the place was so tastefully appointed. The hot tub was the best part of the stay. There was a minor issue with starting the jets, but Greg came over immediately and addressed it. It was a perfect weekend.

It was great! So cute and lovely. LOVE the hot tub. Melody is fantastic to work with. Small detractors: two of my cosmetic bags got stained by placing them on the three-tier shelf in the upstairs bathroom (paint/something appears to be coming off?), the master bedroom was pretty cold (after I gathered enough blankets the second night, it was fine!)

Great time!
My sisters and I take a short trip every winter. We just want a beautiful place with a hot tub to hole up in to play games and spend time with each other. So fat, every year has been great... this time included. The house is beautiful and clean, the hot tub was spacious (and hot!) The hosts were very responsive to us. We didn't have to worry about a thing and could focus on catching up and enjoying each other's company.
