Mohawk Cabin – Luxury Lakefront Winter Escape

Experience peaceful snowy lake views at Mohawk Chalet, a newly renovated 4BR lakefront retreat in the Poconos. Enjoy two scenic decks, a firepit, indoor game console with 1,000+ retro games, and cozy spaces to relax. Sip cocoa on the swing chair, play board games, or watch the snow fall over Lake Watawga. With Native American-inspired decor and thoughtful touches throughout, it’s the perfect winter escape for families, game nights, and quiet lakeside moments.

All guests are required to fill out a digital Pre-arrival Form that we will send you once you book. Within this form, you must provide: your full name, contact information, form of ID, and the names and ages of all guests at least 2 days before check-in.

Guests booking with us acknowledge that the property offers direct lake access without a fence or lifeguard present. By booking, you agree to release us from any liability.

Family-Friendly Features:
Got little ones? Kids under 3 are not counted in the 8-person limit.

Spread out in our 2,400 square foot home, 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and an open living, kitchen, and dining space.

Main/Ground Floor:
Step inside to find a welcoming living space featuring a rustic, mountain-inspired kitchen, dining area, and a dedicated workspace. Slide open the doors and let the crisp winter air greet you as you take in the serene beauty of our lakefront backyard, nestled along the shores of Lake Watawga.

In the living room, cozy up for movie nights on the 60" Smart TV, or enjoy a friendly round of Carrom at the wooden poker table. Browse through the book collection, or admire the Native American-inspired picture wall—a meaningful touch that adds character to your stay.

Bedroom #1: King-sized bed adorned with mountain-inspired decor.

Upstairs:
Bedroom #2: Indulge in luxury in our Master Bedroom, boasting a king-sized bed, 50" Smart TV, private full bathroom, and sweeping views of the backyard and lake.

Bedroom #3: Dream under the stars in a queen-sized bed surrounded by galaxy-inspired decor.

Bedroom #4: Bunk beds with 2 full-sized mattresses, and a queen sized bed. Check out the bear smelling the little girl's photo in the wall photo (that is a real photograph!). This room has a 50" TV that has a gaming console attached with over 1,000 games to choose from - even the old school ones, like Pacman and Galaga, and Frogger! There are 2 controllers for your usage.
Bedrooms 3 and 4 share access to a full bathroom with a shower/bathtub.

*As of December 2nd '25 all outdoor furniture and ping pong table has been winterized and will be available for use again come April 2026. The outdoor firepit is still available for use throughout the winter*

For fishing enthusiasts, the best fishing spot is just a short distance from our front dock, thanks to old railroad ruins creating a prime fishing area. The lake includes Bass, pickerel, crappy, perch, and sunfish. The lake is strictly catch and release only and all fishing licenses should be purchased before fishing on the lake, as the lake is patrolled by game wardens. There is a hardware store in town that sells licenses and bait if guests need it.

For Boating: there is no boat slip and guests are not allowed to bring their own gas or engine powered boats. This is both a security issue and an environmental issue for the lake and is strictly enforced. All kayaks and non-gas powered boats must be registered with the community in advance and must be disclosed and info sent prior to your arrival. Boats must be tied off securely or pulled up onto shore to a point that they will not drift into the water and float away.

Safety is paramount, so we provide 10 life jackets in different sizes for your peace of mind during water activities. Life jackets are required at all times while on the lake.

Once you book with us, you will receive a full Digital Guidebook of local activities, restaurants, and attractions in the area to help you plan your vacation!

*Early check-in and late checkout can be accommodated based on availability. Please request in advance—additional fees may apply.

Parking:
There is parking available for a maximum of 5 vehicles.

No events, parties, or large gatherings
Must be 26 to book, no groups of young adults under 26 yrs. old.

Pets:
There is a $150 flat fee for dogs, a maximum of 2 dogs. No other pets are allowed. Must provide age and breeds as you book, must be fully house-trained, and we do not allow puppies. It must not be left unattended inside. All outdoor droppings picked up.

Great Family Vacation

This house was perfect for our family vacation. The property had everything we needed to relax and unwind as a family. We enjoyed exploring the lake on the kayaks and paddle boards and relaxed both inside and out. The firepit overlooking the lake was a perfect setting to connect and create memories. The house was very comfortable and well equipped. We are already planning our return trip!
