'We verbleven hier drie nachten om loch Lomond en de omgeving te bezoeken. Prijs kwaliteit was perfect; het hotel is wat verouderd maar de vernieuwde pub en restaurant serveren erg lekker eten. Goed ontbijt al misten we wat kaas ofzo bij onze toast. Het personeel was top!'

'We hadden een goedkopere kamer geboekt. Dan zijn m'n verwachtingen heus niet hoog. Maar tapijt in de badkamer sloeg wel alles. Dat is extreem onhygiënisch. Ook was de staat achterstallig, dat het behang van alle kanten los hing en het matras al 20 jaar geleden vervangen had moeten worden. Je lag direct op de veringen die inmiddels ook hun eigen vorm hadden gekregen.'

'Super goed dat er een basic ontbijt is waar je één extra gerecht (toast, pancakes, waffles, toasties of scrambled tofu) kon krijgen. Ieder extra bestelling kost 1 pond per persoon extra. Op die manier eet je bewust en heeft het hotel minder voedselverspilling. '

'One night stay. We had a ground floor room with a small balcony onto the water, which was great. The view was stunning and we were entertained by a family of swans, passing ducks, house martins and swallows. Bed was a good size and was reasonably comfortable. The furniture is starting to show its age. Both the breakfast room and the restaurant played pointless music both inside and even more annoyingly outside! We were disappointed with some of the food at the restaurant, which was overpriced....

'Nice rooms, very nice surroundings. But it’s a pity they turned this lovely house into a very expensive Center Parcs. You smell the pool already when entering the lobby. All the new extensions you do not see on the pictures on the website. . Service often is quite bad & chaotic.'
