'Amazing staff and service made our son's birthday celebration special and was unexpected as we'd mentioned the trip was for his birthday to our butler upon arrival and he asked what our visit entailed to help with reservations or directions to anything and they sent us a small birthday cake complete with balloons and a note from the hotel, which really surprised and delighted all of us in how they'd gone above and beyond here. 'Our stay at The Restoration was one of the best travel experiences we’ve ever had. 'We paid extra for a room with a balcony and we were literally placed in the corner next to the maid closet. So every morning they slam the door open(no fault of theirs it’s just the way the door opens onto their carts as they stock them). Then no balcony. Second floor yet people on street just talking, not shouting sounded as if they were in our room. I paid a lot of money and was nothing but disappointed with this property. I now see why people don’t like to stay here.'

'For the record, I am not a negative review person. I usually give places the benefit of the doubt, shrug off inconveniences, and move on with my life. It takes quite a bit for me to actually leave a review, so congratulations,you’ve achieved something special. First, if you’re hoping to call the front desk, prepare for a scavenger hunt. The calls appear to be outsourced somewhere in a parallel universe because whoever answers has absolutely no idea how to help with anything at the property....

'Loved staying here! The property, inside and out, was beautiful. The staff were wonderful and helpful. The bed was very comfortable. The view of the park and the river across the street was lovely. All the positives make up for the location being a bit further from restaurants and bars, although within walking distance depending on your abilities. We’d stay here again!'
