Ruhe abseits des Trubels
Das Haus liegt ca. 30 Fahrminuten von Maspalomas entfernt - mit Übung geht die kurvige Fahrt dann leicht schneller - etwas abseits vom Dorfkern. Der Parkplatz ist etwas abenteuerlich zu erreichen, aber auch das geht dann beim zweiten Parken gleich viel schneller. Im Haus ist alles vorhanden, was man für einen schönen Urlaub braucht. Auch wenn der eine oder andere Gegenstand schon etwas älter ist, erfüllt alles seinen Zweck. Handtücher, Tabs für die Spülmaschine, Waschpulver, Toilettenpapier und Müllbeutel waren auch schon vorhanden. Der Eigentümer, Marcos, hat uns empfangen und das Haus gezeigt und war per WhatsApp immer sofort ansprechbar. Die wahre Besitzerin des Hauses ist aber eine Katze (von meiner Tochter "Mausi" genannt), die lautstark Aufmerksamkeit fordert. Einkaufen sollte man aber immer "unten" (z.B. in Maspalomas bei Lidl) in Fataga gibt es kaum etwas. Zum Schluss hatten wir ein paar Probleme mit der Elektrik (inklusive Funkenflug aus dem Verteiler) aber Marcos hat versprochen sich sofort darum zu kümmern.

Tolles großes Ferienhaus
Wir verbrachten zu viert 1 Woche im Casa Augustin. Es ist wunderbar groß, ruhig und geräumig! Der kleine Pool war unser Highlight bei 35 Grad. Es gibt in jedem Schlaf- und Wohnzimmer eine Klimaanlage. Ein Gasgrill auf der Veranda mit tollem Ausblick lädt zum Verweilen ein. Die offene Küche ist gut ausgestattet mit Kühlschrank/ Gefrierfach, Gasherd, Mikrowelle, Geschirrspülmaschine, kleiner Wasserkocher, Toaster, Teller, Töpfe, Besteck etc. Zu jedem Schlafzimmer gehört ein eigenes Bad mit Dusche, Toilette und Handtüchern. Das Wohnzimmer mit Essbereich ist groß und gemütlich und hat einen Fernseher. Es gibt eine Waschmaschine und mehrere Trockenständer. Das WLAN ist in mehrere Bereiche aufgeteilt und recht schnell. Regelmäßig kam eine Katze vorbei, die immer Hunger hatte. Einzig die Anfahrt von der Hauptstraße zum Haus ist etwas abenteuerlich, da sie recht steil und schmal ist. Von Maspalomas aus fährt man ca. 20-25min zum Haus.

Erholung pur
Auf der Suche nach Entspannung und Erholung fanden wir in Fataga wohl den für uns schönsten Ort in einer wunderschönen Finca. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt und das Haus war vollständig und mit viel Liebe zum Detail ausgestattet. Mehr geht nicht. Sogar täglicher Besuch der kleinen Katze gehörte zum Programm :-) Die Veranda lud zum verweilen ein und der beheizte Pool war Spaß pur. Der unbezahlbare Blick auf die Berge tat sein übriges. Weit weg vom täglichen Geschehen fanden wir dort wirklich Ruhe und Entspannung. Mit dem Mietwagen waren auch Fahrten über die Insel kein Problem und in ca 30 Minuten war das Meer in greifbarer Nähe. Marcos war zu jederzeit sehr hilfsbereit und immer bemüht, dass es seinen Gästen gut geht und an nichts fehlt. Es gab dann auch mal den ein oder anderen Insidertipp für welchen wir sehr dankbar waren. Fataga ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert, alleine schon der unscheinbare Mini-Markt im Ortskern, der so einige Überraschungen im Nebenraum bereithält. Achtung Suchtgefahr :-) Wir empfehlen mit bestem Gewissen Marco´s Finca und Fataga wärmstens weiter. Liebe Grüße von Nadja, Norman, Julia und Anna

Traumhaus in den Bergen
Wir hatten zwei wunderschöne erholsame Wochen in diesem sehr gepflegten und gut ausgestatteten Ferienhaus. Die Aussicht von der Terrasse ist einzigartig und der Ort strahlt eine zufriedene Friedlichkeit mit sehr freundlichen Menschen aus. Zudem sind die Menschen dort sehr tier-bzw. katzenfreundlich. Auch am Haus gab es einen kleinen Kater, den wir in der gesamten Zeit dort versorgt haben. Es wurde uns mit dankbarem Schnurren und Schmusen gedankt. Durch den Aufenthalt dort ist unsere Neugier auf die Insel geweckt worden und wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder dorthin reisen. Der Ort, die Lage des Hauses und auch die Insel bieten viele Möglichkeiten, tolle Erkundungstouren in den Bergen oder in den Küstengebieten zu erleben. Wir empfehlen den Gastgeber und das Haus mit 5 Sternen weiter.

Das Haus ist sehr schön eingerichtet mit allem was benötigt ist. Die Bilder geben das sehr gut wieder. Als Restaurant gefiel uns das El Labrador am besten, kleine Karte aber die Qualität sehr gut (besser als Fataga Grill). Das Albaricoque hat leider nur bis 16.00 Uhr geöffnet, daher keine Chance es auszuprobieren. Wir haben 14 Tage Ruhe in diesem sehr schönen Ambiente genossen. Marcos war jederzeit ansprechbar für jegliche Fragen. Wir als Katzenliebhaber haben uns um eine sehr zutrauliche und absolut liebe Katze gekümmert, nannten sie Lotte :-) - sie war weiß-beige mit blauen Augen

Sehr schöne Finca mit herrlichem Ausblick
Die Finca liegt in dem bezauberten Dorf Fataga, 25 min zu Masoimas. Von den Terrassen genießt man einen herrlichen Blick auf die Berge. Von Fataga aus haben wir direkt eine sehr schöne Wanderungen von 17km gemacht. Im Haus befindet sich alles, das zum Kochen und Frühstück zubereiten benötigt wird. Backofen, Mikrowelle, Spül- und Waschmaschine. Der Pool ist beheizt, wir haben ihn nicht so ausgiebig genossen, da die Temperaturen in Fataga frisch waren. Marcos ist ein freundlicher Vermieter, der einfach ansorechbar war. Grazia Marcos!!

Definitiv empfehlenswert!
Eine sehr schöne Casa am Rande von Fataga! Es war alles da um einen tollen Urlaub entspannt genießen zu können! Marcos ist ein sehr aufmerksamer, aber nicht aufdringliche Gastgeber. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. 3 Schlafzimmer und Badezimmer, Rundumausstattung in der Küche, Waschmaschine, Trockner, eigener Pool mit ausreichend Liegemöglichkeiten und eine traumhafte Terrasse! Einzig die Betten waren uns ein bisschen zu hart, aber das ist ja empfindungssache. Fataga liegt etwas ruhiger mit dem Mietwagen ist man aber schnell (ca. 30 min.) in der tourihochburg Maspalomas. Wer also nicht unbedingt mittendrin sein möchte ist hier genau richtig!

'Far from the Madding Crowd'
An excellent 14 days. Owner ensured the villa was well equiped even down to those little things like dishwasher tabs, bin bags etc, etc, etc. Heated pool enabled a comfortable dip and welcome cooling off from the daily sunshine. During the evening occasional use of the air conditioning gave us an ideal temperature for sleeping. The property is located just a short walk from Fataga village and restaurants, bars, minimarket, garage and cashpoint, though most places accepted credit cards. Around Fataga there are several excellent walking routes and the owner provided many maps and guides for our use. Overall we would fully recommend the villa to those looking for a calm, comfortable and pictureque retreat. Thanks Marcos.

Wir können das Haus nur empfehlen. Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit. Marcos hat dieses Haus ursprünglich für sich und seine Familie gebaut und das merkt man. Es ist sehr gut ausgestattet und liebevoll eingerichtet. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit. Der Pool ist wirklich klasse und die Abdeckung war sehr praktisch. So könnte unsere Tochter freier spielen und wir konnten uns noch mehr entspannen. Die Lage in Fataga ist wunderbar. Man braucht keine halbe Stunde bis Maspalomas. Abends und morgens genießt man die wundervolle Stille. Die Restaurants in Fataga sind ebenfalls zu empfehlen. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder. Marcos war immer sehr gut zu erreichen, wenn wir fragen hatten.

Wonderful - highly recommended
We stayed in Casa Augustin for two months (March-April 2019). Casa Augustin is more than a house, it’s a home lovingly taken care of by Marcos and his family. Situated at the end of a quite road and just a short walk to Fataga village (10 minutes ), the house is very peaceful. There are lots of areas to sit and relax and enjoy the magnificent views surrounding the property. The pool is wonderful particularly if you have children. Fataga has a small convenience store and main shopping can be done in San Bartolome or Santa Lucia. There are three restaurants. We mainly visited El Labrador and Albaricoque, both serving traditional Canaria dishes and we can recommend both. There are also a couple of lovely gift shops in the village. We are cyclists and staying in Fataga puts you well placed to do some fantastic and challenging cycling. There are also lots of amazing hiking opportunities. It can be cold early morning and evening, at least in the months we were there, so bring a jacket. We absolutely loved our stay in Casa Augustin and highly recommend it. Marcos and Saro are wonderful hosts.

We have just spent a month in this lovely villa. The location is amazing on the edge of the pretty village of Fataga where there are 3 good restaurants (all in easy walking distance) the villa is so peaceful and quiet and the views are amazing. Marcos and his family are really friendly nice people who just can't do enough to make your stay perfect, a big thank you to them all!!. The villa is spacious, very well equipped and has everything you could possibly need. We will definitely be returning next year, what better recommendation can you give!!

Wonderful in all ways!
The views, the village, the friendly locals, the pool, the beautiful and comfortable home - all made for a wonderful stay. Marcos could not do enough for us, always extremely helpful, responding quickly to any queries we had. Perfect in every way!
Our family ( 2 adults and 2 children) stayed here for Christmas. Booking somewhere away for Christmas is always a bit of a worry but we really shouldn't have. Marcos's Villa is amazing and we will definitely come back. It was super clean and spacious. The double room was really big and the twin was more than big enough with a lovely big ensuite. We didn't use the downstairs apartment apart from washing but this separate 2 bedroom would be perfect if travelling with another family. The Villa had everything you could possibly need. The pool was a little cold but it was December and the kids still had a good time in it. Maspalomas is just 20 min down the mountain. We went to the Dunes on Christmas day and it was 28 degrees! There is a hotel called El Molino just a mile up the mountain. It serves the best food. Fataga is just 10-minute walk and has 3 restaurants, a little gift shop, and a mini market. The views from everywhere are just incredible. Thank you Marcos for providing such a wonderful place to stay. We look forward to returning soon.

Lovely Villa in beautiful surroundings.
We have just spent a week at this lovely villa and wished we could have stayed longer. We arrived in the dark and was not aware of our surroundings until morning. When I opened the door that morning I was greeted with the sun shining on the high mountains in front of us which is stunning and a wrap around veranda takes you to the mountains at the back. All you can hear are the birds and the peace and quiet. The house was lovely and clean and had everything that we needed. It is situated on the edge of the beautiful village of Fataga. The outdoor space has a small pool and plenty of sunbathing opportunities as well as shade and also plenty of places to sit and eat on the veranda. The owner Marcos was very friendly and his English was far better than our Spanish, he kept in touch and helped instantly with any problems. This villa is ideal for anyone who likes walking or cycling and also the drive down to the beaches of Maspalomas are only about 35 minutes away. The drive back to the villa from the coast is spectacular as you climb half way up the scenery is breathtaking. I would love to return one day and I would certainly stay in this lovely spot again. Thank you Marcos and family for making us so welcome.

Perfekter Ort zum Erholen und Entspannen
Sofort nach der Ankunft waren wir uns sicher: das ist genau das was wir gesucht hatten. Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig am Rande des Ortes, mit einem wunderschönen Blick ins Tal und vor allem auf die Berge. Die Veranda haben wir sehr oft genossen, besonders auch abends, um den Ausblick und die Sonne zu genießen. Dafür sind die gemütlichen und modernen Lounge-Möbeln bestens geeignet. Zum Frühstück kann man um die Ecke an einem großen Esstisch das Aufgehen der Sonne beobachten - was will man mehr? Der Vermieter, Marcos, ist sehr sympathisch und immer darum bemüht (aber nicht aufdringlich), dass es an nichts fehlt und die Wasserqualität des Pools in Ordnung ist. Der Pool ist sogar beheizt. Um den Pool herum laden verschiedene Sitzmöglichkeiten zum Verweilen ein. Das Haus selbst ist gut ausgestattet, es hat uns nichts gefehlt. Die vielen Pflanzen und Blumen überall auf dem Grundstück runden das Bild ab. Wenn man Ruhe, Erholung und ein schönes Panorama sucht, ist man hier wirklich gut aufgehoben! Uns jedenfalls hat es sehr gefallen und wir sagen nochmals Danke und senden herzliche Grüße nach Gran Canaria an Marcos und seine Familie.

Excellent large house!
Good location, short walk from Fataga. Great for access to the beautiful mountains in the centre of the island. The host was excellent, good communication and happy to help. We stayed with 6 people for a cycling holiday. Can very much recommend!

La familia Ferreira son una familia fantástica. Desde el primer momento tuvimos una buena comunicación . Ademas dejarán la casa en buen estado y respetaron las normas , ojalá que vuelvan el próximo porque este tipo de clientes son los que le dan categoría a la casa .

A wonderful location in the mountains
From the first tentative enquiry communication with Marcos has been first class. As well as providing excellent and prompt information before our arrival, Marcos proceeded to meet us in the village within minutes of our arrival, kept in touch during the week via text to make sure everything was ok, checked how we were getting on after we left the house and moved to another location in the north for a week and even sent us a lovely text when we got back home to England. The house is in a superb location with wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. It is accessed via a short track and has private parking. It is within easy walking distance to the lovely village of Fataga (mini market, bakery, restaurants, cafe, garage,) or to numerous footpaths. Wi fi worked superbly inside and in the areas immediately outside the house. The pool is small but large enough for a refreshing dip. The house has lots of information about Gran Canaria which was very useful. Overall we loved visiting Fataga and the house was a wonderful, homely, well-equipped base for the week. Our security deposit was refunded in full promptly after our stay. Marcos, and his wife, are lovely people who take huge pride in their house. We feel we made a great choice in selecting Fataga and their house for our first visit to Gran Canaria.

Tolle Woche in schönem Haus
Gute Ausstattung des Hauses, sowohl innen als auch außen, toller Grill! Sehr ruhige Lage, Fataga war dennoch gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Schöner Blick ins Tal und die Umgebung von einer der drei Terrassen. Gute Ausgangslage für Wandertouren in die Berge, aber auch für einen Strandbesuch in Maspalomas. Marcos und seine Familie waren ausgesprochen aufmerksam und freundlich. Insgesamt haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Gewöhnungsbedürftig waren allerdings die vielen Kameras, die sicherlich der Sicherheit dienen sollen, durch die wir uns aber doch beobachtet gefühlt haben.

Hola , Sabine y su familia ,fueron buenos huespedes muy ordenados y limpios , fue una pena no puder tener mas contacto de su estancia en la casa, pero con su hermano si pudimos hablar y cambiar impresiones. otra cosa muy importante, LA ALARMA , SOLO FUNCIONA CUANDO EL CLIENTE LA CONECTA, NUNCA NUNCA FUNCIONAN SI EL CLIENTE NO LO DESEA, LA ALARMA SOLO CONECTA LA CAMARA DE FOTOS CUANDO ENTRA ALGUN INTRUSO.

great house with astonishing views
This amazing house at the beautiful village of fataga was the perfect accomodation for us during our holiday in february 2017, when we spent 3 weeks there. The house is located in a green and quiet surrounding with astonishing views , a ten minute-footwalk away from the center of the village, where you can find 3 restaurants, a mini-market, little shops, a bakery etc.. The house is nicely built (parts of the former structures were integrated into the building with great craftmanship), furnished tastefully and equipped nearly perfect. The basement of the house with a 2nd bathroom and a large room with 2 double beds can be used as a extension of the upper rooms.. The furniture and the equipment of the basement is more simple but suitable. The owner (who lived there with his family before) is very discrete, helpful and friendly. He can give you recommendations and informations about sights and everything you need to know about Gran Canaria.

Fantastische Lage
Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig, fantastische Blicke auf die Berge und Vegetation; im Dez. Sonne auf der Terrasse von 9:30 - 17:30; Wohnraum und Küche sehr gut ausgestattet, Terrassen mit modernen Gartenmöbeln, 2 Schlafzimmer im 1. STock sehr schön, das Zimmer im Souterrain eher dunkel. Alles sehr sauber und gepflegt, Vermieterfamilie aufmerksam. Ohne Einschränkungen weiterzuempfehlen

Beautiful and comfortable home in a village setting
This lovely house is very much a family concern and, as a consequence, the support from the owner is fantastic. We spent two weeks here and we always looked forward to coming returning if we had been out for the day; it truly is a home from home. All the facilities you need are here and it was a pleasure just to take in the views and relax into the slower pace of life. Maspalomas is 30 minutes away to the south and the mountains a similar time to the north south so it is nicely positioned and not a huge stretch from the airport.

Perfect get away house
The house totally exceeded our expectations. Beautifully decorated, spacious, full of character, with a fantastic terrace (great views!) to chill on or even have a meal on. A paved garden on a lower level was very useful too. Marco and his wife were very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed and more (thank you for the wine once again! ). Great location for parties who want to explore the mountains, but the sea is only 30 min away. You'd be mad not too book it, can't recommend it enough.
