We verbleven 14 nachten met ons gezin (2 volwassen en 3 kinderen) in het Mauricia en hebben een fantastische tijd gehad. Onze kamer was erg ruim en had 2 badkamers en altijd erg schoon. We hadden half pension geboekt maar daar in het hotel nog all inclusive van gemaakt. Hier hebben we geen spijt van gehad. Echt alles was inclusief en van goede kwaliteit. Het eten in het buffet restaurant was erg goed, elke avond was er op meerdere plekken live cooking wat zorgde voor veel afwisseling en heerlijk eten. Ook het a la carte restaurant (all incl.) was heerlijk. Ook alle watersportactiviteiten zijn inbegrepen. De Glass bottom boat gaat meerdere keren per dag en je kan gebruik maken van de waterfietsen, bootjes, etc. zelfs (onbeperkt) waterskiën hoort erbij. Ook erg leuke animatie, live muziek op het strand, een dj, en sterren kijken met een professional. Waar we ook erg van hebben genoten was de mogelijkheid om naar 2 andere resorts van de beachcomber keten te gaan. Ter plekke gold ook de all incl. We hebben genoten van onze dagjes in le Cannonier en Victoria. Ook hier was iedereen ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Alle medewerkers van beachcomber ontzettend bedankt voor onze fantastische vakantie. Een speciaal dankjewel voor chef Coulou en Prema uit het restaurant.

Eigenlijk was alles goed aan Mauricia, van begin tot eind. Alle basics kloppen, de buffetten, het zwembad en het strand zijn heerlijk. De sportfaciliteiten en entertainment waren goed, De kamer met fraai uitzicht op zee was uitstekend, het is geen nieuw hotel maar helemaal up-to-date. Dus ook een prima badkamer en een apart toilet. Verder opvallend schoon in alle ruimtes. Maar het echte verschil wordt gemaakt door het personeel, vriendelijk zoals men is op Mauritius. Van de receptie tot aan de keuken (Vikash, Westley), de geweldige obers zoals Mahen en Satyam maar ook de hoteldirecteur Youssef Sabri die (uniek) de hele dag opduikt om contact te houden met de gasten. Dit alles maakte voor mij Mauricia het leukste hotel waar ik ooit ben geweest.

The hotel is very big. We missed the personal touch. But that's personal. We prefer smaller hotels with a personal touch and more contact with the staff. The hotel was by the way perfect. It was clean, food was good, there was a beach house were we could do much. waterskiing, snorkling, glassboot, standuppaddling, canoen, just for free. there were 2 nice swimmingpools. Nice place directly at the beach. there was also tennis, fitness and spa welness but we didn't use that.

Prettig hotel aan het strand
Goed gelegen hotel, aan het strand, centrum op korte loopafstand. De kamers zijn ruim, met een zeer grote badkamer en aparte WC. Wij hadden een kamer met tuin en uitzicht op zee. Het ontbijt was super. Het zwembad ruim. Check in en uit ging soepel. Doordat wij in het laagseizoen waren was de later gevraagde late check-out gratis. Het personeel was wat afstandelijk en koel. Iets meer vrolijkheid was prettig geweest.

Geweldige locatie in Grand Baie, aan het strand
Fantastisch hotel zeg midden in Grand Baie, tussen alle winkels en restaurants in. Mooi strand en zwembad met allerlei leuk gratis faciliteiten zoals snorkelen, waterskiën, glasbodem boot, tegen betaling andere faciliteiten. Hotel was groot en schoon, ruime kamer en badkamer, minibar, balkon met zitje. Hotel beschikt over een Spa en fitness (apparatuur is wat minder en weinig voor zo'n groot hotel) LO ( Logies / Ontbijt) basis gekozen omdat het eten elke dag in buffet vorm is, wij hebben 2 weken in heerlijke restaurants in de buurt gegeten (Grand Baie, Pereybere) en goedkoper als in het hotel Rs 1600,- pp (38,-) avond eten. 1x op het strand gegeten met een privé tafeltje, kaarsjes, rozenblaadjes en een heerlijk 4 gangen diner en een ober, het is niet goedkoop maar wel romantisch en goed eten. Auto gehuurd met navigatie vanuit het hotel is goed te doen en de prijs valt mee, service heel erg goed. Ze bieden ook allerlei excursies aan op het strand maar kijk goed uit betaal niet vooruit zitten andere aanbieders tussen. In het hotel kan je vlakbij de autoverhuur ook excursies boeken. Nadeel in het hotel was de WiFi slechte verbinden en alleen in de openbare ruimtes niet op de kamer. We hebben veel info van tripadvisor gehaald voor eten en excursies. Ik kan dit hotel iedereen aanraden en ik zal het zeker boeken als ik nog eens naar Mauritius ga.

Firstly let me say the resort is beautiful with nice rooms and to 4 star standard. Our room had had a makeover and only slightly let down by the shower grout. A small issue and not important. The room staff and the resort staff including reception were lovely, warm and friendly. The views from our room were spectacular. Lovely beach and pools and the pool activities were great with fab staff. However whilst the food served was excellent the restaurant staff were anything but. It was like they didn't work for the resort- totally unengaged and not friendly at all. A couple of exceptions here- the omelette chef at the end of the service area and a few of the more mature staff were good but the rest were just awful. Multiple requests for coffee and any kind of service were met with a sullen look and often forgotten. Too focused on clearing tables and made us feel we were a nuisance. Chefs chatting to each other who got annoyed when you asked them to move to get to the food.

Hotel is in a great location and easy to walk to shops etc. Bus stops are within 15 minutes walk. Beach is also great and very safe to swim in. The staff don't smile and feel as though you are a inconvenience. Perhaps that's their way. The team who look after the bags and take you to your room were excellent and remembered your name throughout the holiday. The restaurant is OK but we found the food bland but that's our taste. It is repetitive but they always have something themed and different. Seafood is excellent though. Restaurant staff need training in small details like please don't just clear away our plates and drinks without asking. If you see a baby at least get the high chair and small cutlery for them. Bhurud who looked after our room was excellent and very friendly. He kept our room in excellent order and nothing was too much trouble for him.

L’hôtel a vieilli les installations et architecture devraient être renouvelés Un service de plage devrait être créé afin de profiter de boissons servis sur place comme beaucoup d’hôtels La qualité de repas est très bien avec de soirées à thème qui permettent de découvrir différentes saveurs locales et étrangères Le standing a aussi baissé ce qui m’oblige à changer de gamme d’hôtel alors qu’il fut une référence par sa proximité avec la ville de Grand Baie Aujourd’hui de nombreux négoces ont fermé et la population s’est paupérisée cause Covid Le centre s’est déplacé au quartier La Croisette plus clean. Il n’est pas indiqué que l’hôtel abrite un club italien avec animations ce qui n’est pas ma tasse de thé, mais pratique pour les familles avec enfants. Voilà en résumé un bel hôtel qui vieillit.

Die Anlage an sich, die beiden Pools und der Palmengarten sind sehr schön. Auch das kostenlose Parken war gut. Was uns allerdings enorm gestört hat, war die Unruhe in dem Hotel. Beim Essen wird man von verhungernden Mitgästen fast von Buffet gestoßen und es gibt eine italienische Animationsagentur die den ganzen Tag irgeneinen Klamauk für die italienischen Gäste veranstaltet die die Anlage dominieren. Tagsüber laute Elektromusik über die ganze Anlage bis zum Strand und jeden abends bis 23 Uhr ebenfalls laute Veranstaltungen. Wer Ruhe sucht ist hier definitiv falsch!

Vid ankomst möttes vi av personal som tog hand om bagage och administrerade incheckningen samtidigt som vi bjöds på dryck. Rummet (214) var väldigt bra och hade fin utsikt. Städningen sköttes alldeles utmärkt. Frukost- och middagsbuffé var riklig och välsmakande. Gymmet var välutrustat och funktionellt.

Un très bel hôtel, et une équipe extrêmement bienveillante et aux petits soins. L'équipe de Direction est très présente tout au long de la journée, on les rencontre régulièrement et ils viennent nous voir pour savoir si tout se passe bien. Les chambres sont propres et très bien entretenues. Les buffets sont grandioses, on mange très bien. L'animation est bien sans être trop envahissante, de beaux spectacles en soirée. La clientèle italienne est un peu trop bruyante et les animateurs Bravo sont limite aimables avec les autres clients, on dirait que l'hôtel leur appartient.

My wife and I enjoyed a week here. Its location is within walking distance of some local bars, restaurants and local supermarket/mall - about 15/20 min stroll. The staff absolutely made the stay. Everyone was friendly and helpful always greeting with a smile. Reception came to us and checked us in whilst sat in the lobby rather than at the front desk, a nice personable touch with welcome drink. They even assisted with contacting the airport on our behalf with our delayed bags. We had breakfast and dinner included. A really good variety which they altered to provide a bit of change - for dinner they had different themes like bbq themes Asian etc. We didn’t try the a la carte restaurant. We used pretty much all the facilities that were included free as part of the stay - kayak, waterski etc. The only thing we didn’t try was the paddleboard as it was a little windy that day. They also provide activities throughout the day like swimming pool exercises, yoga, stuff for kids etc. The spa was amazing. We visited twice for a massage and one with a body scrub. Only couple of small minor things: bar is open until 11pm. They have singing, entertainment etc which I believe most of the rooms face onto. It didn’t bother us much, but note it can be loud if you want an early night. A few flies were around the restaurant which could’ve been better attended to but nothing major given it’s all open air.

Utmärkt hotell!
Buffén på hotellet var väldigt bra, särskilt de olika salladerna för förätterna. Oftast var maten bra kryddad och frukosten var väldigt bra. Personalen var hjälpsamma, professionella och svarade på alla frågor vi hade. Bra läge och det var enkelt att gå till grand baie. Fin strand och väldigt bra snorkling när man åkte med deras snorklingbåt ut. Gick även väldigt bra att ta express bussen till huvudstaden port louis.

Hyggeligt men stort hotel
Fint hotel med lækre omgivelser, men dyrt hvis du ikke vælger all incl. Vi fandt hurtigt en hyggelig frokost cafe lidt væk fra hotellet (gå til Venstre på stranden og forbi en stor klub) Camille Snack er virkelig lækker og billig mad og de er meget venlige og søde. Hotellet er stort - vi vælger nok fremover mindre hoteller der har lidt mere charme end de store. Maden er lækker med bredt udvalg - dog ikke børnevenligt men så kan man bestille hos tjeneren uden beregning især hvor omelet mand var virkelig sød og skal ha 5 stjerner for service

Decent Hotel in fantastic area.
Superior Room - 8/10. Decent size. Clean. Thinnish walls. Did hear our neighbours quite regularly. Bathroom - 8/10. Clean. Separate toilet which was a bit cosy. Bed - 8/10. All ok. Comfy but pillows were a bit soft. WiFi - 9/10. No issues. Often reached down to the beach. Gym - 9/10. Equipment a little dated but decent hygiene set up under Covid conditions. Evening Entertainment - 9/10. Very good nearly every night. Full marks to the exceptional covers singers and house band and to the close-up, table magician. Staff - 10/10. ALL staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. ALL staff always strictly adhered to their own Covid rules. Masks were worn, hands were cleansed etc. Hotel - 9/10. Lovely view of the bay and the grounds were immaculately looked after. Buffet - 7/10. A slight disappointment. Breakfast was the same everyday. Lunches and dinners were very similar. Couldn’t help but feel there should have been a bit more variety. After-dinner cheese option only came out once, consisting of two types of cheese. This was heavily marshalled by the only cheese police I’ve ever encountered. Desserts were decent quality and we never went hungry. Other points to make… Dress code was long trousers for the evenings. I don’t do formal, so checked before hand that smart jeans were ok - which they were. The first night came and people were wearing pretty much what they wanted. And the only other niggle was that mask-wearing was never enforced. Would definitely recommend.

Hervorragende Küche, sehr saubere Anlage
Wir hatten all inclusive und waren begeistert von der hervorragenden Speisenauswahl und vorallem der Qualität. Im Spezialitäten-Restaurant hatte man überhaupt den Eindruck, dass ein Haubenkoch am Werk ist. Hier musste man für wenige ausgewählte Speisen einen Aufpreis von 5-8 Euro bezahlen. Getränke waren aber überall gratis - lokales Bier, Wein aus Südafrika. Besonders gut hat uns auch gefallen, dass wir in den Beachcomber Hotels Les Cannoniers und Victoria freien Zutritt hatten und auch dort Speisen und Getränke gratis genießen konnten. So haben wir doch 3 Beachcomber Hotels kennengelernt. Das La Mauricia war im Vergleich zu den beiden anderen nicht so voll und man hatte mehr als genügend Liegen am Strand und an den Pools zur Auswahl, was im Victoria nicht der Fall war. Jeden Abend gab es live Musik, tagsüber sportliche Animation, die aber zum Glück überhaupt nicht aufdringlich war. Vom Hotel konnte man zu Fuß in den Ort und damit zu Boutiquen gehen (gerade einmal 100 m zur Hauptstraße). Unser Schwimmbereich in der Bucht war aufgrund der Lage aber sehr eingeschränkt, da viele Boote unterwegs waren. 3x am Tag gab es ein Glasbodenboot, das Hotelgäste gratis zum Riff bringt, wo man auch schnorcheln kann. Man muss aber wissen, daß es teilweise starke Strömungen gibt und die Korallen mehr oder weniger abgestorben sind. Da wir ein Leihauto hatten sind wir viel herumgefahren. Wer seinen Urlaub nur im Hotel verbringen will, ist vielleicht mit der Strandsituation nicht zufrieden.

Dommage ce nest pas un 4* manque d'organisation
Bon sejour un peu gâché par la musique le soir a fond au bar pour peu de personnes impossible de s'endormir avant 23 h Ce n'est pas indique quand on reserve Le buffet est tres bon mais le service de salle laisse a desirer le fonctionnement est tres confus vous etes en train de manger et on vient vous demander de signer vos consommations et cela malheureusement tres souvent. Aucune organisation en salle. Par contre excellent menage. On parle covid mais de nombreux vendeurs viennent sur la plage avec les masques baisses posent toutes leurs marchandises sur les transats... on nous fait faire des tests et des controles par contre pour eux aucun controle et personne ne leur demande quoi que ce soit. De plus des hordes de chiens se balladent dans les espaces de l'hotel, troupe de 12 chiens qui font leurs besoins sur les pelouses et ils ne sont pas chasses bagarre de chiens sur la plage.
