Was very nice place except the air dont work.... They charge 2 times the amount that u have to pay and second when u call them they are very rude and money hungry WILL NWVER GO BACK AND ADVISE ANYONE NOT TO GO TUERE THEY WAIT A WEEK TO CLEAN AN EMPTY ROOM.. Very rude people and I am hiring layers for them to refund my money!!!!!

Although we always make it a priority to make it our guests happy it becomes very difficult to help some one that calls and does not allow us to help you and just uses fowl language and then hangs up before we can respond. With the pandemic unfortunately we cannot do stay over rooms. What we were trying to explain is that you were not over charged by us, some banks will do two separate auth codes for the initial check in and when we settle charges. One of those will fall off of your account as if it never happened but this is your bank not us

Absolutely miserable. Checked in, and immediately checked out. Did not care that it was midnight. Drove across town and found another place. Guy at the front desk was hacking and coughing. Bedding didn't look like it had been changed. Heat didn't work (first cold night of the season). Place looked like it shouldn't be open. Weeds where the flower beds should be.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. We are sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us. We do not wear masks at this time however should it become mandated we are more than happy to comply with all recommendations from the state of North Dakota. Also staff has been tested and are and remain in good health. We do sanitize the desk as well. The hot tub jets are not working but I am sorry to hear about the pool temperature. We do check it twice per day and systems were all clear but we will definitely look into it for you. Again thank you for staying with us.

It took over 10 minutes for the receptionist to show up to check us in, once she got there everything went smoothly till we got into the room. I walked into the bathroom and there was a huge gob of hair on and on the toilet seat so ok whatever i had to pee and i went to grab a wash cloth to clean off the seat and there were no towels or wash cloths .... so i grab some toilet paper to wash the seat go to turn the sink on and that was broken as well ( good thing mu husband is a handyman ) he fixed the sink for them. Needless to say we didnt stay... then teo days later i look at my bank account and seen they charged us twice for the room

My husband and I found 3 cockroaches in our room, as well as some othe kind of small bug in our bed. The AC was terrible, and our room never did cool down.

Clean and friendly but not what it used to be
It was just a quick overnight stay with a friend. We were celebrating my birthday in Grand Forks. The place was clean and the staff was friendly but it certainly isn’t the place it used to be. I grew up in Grand Forks and the Townhouse used to so fancy. It was “the place”. Now it’s kind of dreary and sad.

The room was really hot upon arrival (86 degrees), so we immediately attempted to turn the air conditioning on, but we soon realized it didn’t work (neither did the “fan” setting). We had been put in a room on the top floor w/ a window facing the pool area and we realized the window was wide open w/ NO SCREEN on it after my two year old almost fell out of it! ..also, I had brought cleaning products with me to sanitize the room (due to the Covid pandemic) which lead to cleaning up dust/dirt all over the place. The room temp hadn’t gone down any, so I called the front desk and I was told, “the only thing we can do for you is give you a fan.”... and they did bring up a 50 year old filthy fan. After being there a couple of hours (and the room still almost 90 degrees) my husband and I decided to go to the Holiday Inn where it was the same price, but had very clean rooms, accommodating staff, and an awesome breakfast spread in the morning! :) ..never will my family or I stay at the Townhouse again.

overcharged.
I stayed at the townhouse on Feb 19 and 20 and was charged for a three nights stay. desk clerk to assure me the charge was a "ghost charge'' and would be reversed. Three weeks later and nothing. I had to file a dispute charge with my credit card company. Beware by paying with a creditcard, make sure you check your statement.

Clean bed and bathroom. The restaurant in the hotel was fantastic, with amazing prime rib dinner special on Friday. They were open for breakfast at 8 am, as well. The hallways and pool steps were in need of cleaning. The sauna was out of order. There weren't any pool towels in the pool area, so we had to go to the front desk and request them. There was only one person working the front desk at checkout, and we didn't have time to wait for the clerk to help the other guests and answer phone calls, so we left the key cards on the counter.

Thank you for your review. Unfortunately the sauna is not listed as one of our amenities. As for the pool towel situation, we are constantly washing towels to get them back up here. Over the weekend we had quite a few people in the pool and we were not able to keep up with the demand. Typically we only have one person for check out as it usually isn't too busy. We do apologize that you had these negative experiences, and we will address them immediately. We look forward to your next stay.

As for the pool, it was perfectly fine throughout the weekend. While unfortunate, it was unforeseen that the hot tub was down. We apologize that your stay was not great. I would like to note that our sauna has not worked since the hotel was bought by the current owners and nowhere does it say that it is an amenity. As for the pool, it was working, we had people swimming without complaint the entire weekend. Unfortunately our hot tub is down, however that was unforeseen and we are working diligently on fixing it. If you would like to contact the hotel about the charges on your rooms, we would be more than happy to address what happened with that. Check in was a little slow, but that was due to only one person working the desk and there was a number of people trying to check in at the same time. The person got everybody through about as fast as they could have. Pool heater was inop, and the hottub was also cold due to no heater. The bar/restaurant was great, and the room while small, was comfortable. Kids enjoyed the mini golf. We would stay again as long as the pool/hottub heater situation is corrected.

The hotel needs updating ASAP. The ceiling falling in on second floor. Room 223 the heater is almost off the wall and you can see outside from the heater coming off the wall. The front desk girl on 2/22/20 would rather be on her phone than help a paying customer. The hot tub was cold with paint chips floating everywhere. The doors are not secure at night. Cheap is not always better. The only good thing was the shuttle service to concert.

This was a great hotel with fun things to do for the kids. The rooms are spacious and clean. They run a shuttle also to games/concerts. Good food in the restaurant also. Would stay here again!

The only good thing going for this hotel is the Muddy Rivers resturant and bar. The pool deck was covered in black mold it was so slipery kids were falling walking from the pool to the table and vis versa. The forst room had brown stains on the sheets switched to a different room and those sheets were stained as well there were spider webs on the windows and beer caps on the floor like the room hadn't been cleaned. The furniture was in such bad condition a 4 year old sat in the chair and the arm fell apart. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.we rented the room specifically to take our kids swimming and we told the front desk associate that abd she didnt tell us that the pool hester was out, the hot tub was down and the sauna didnt work. The pool being heated was a big reason in why we wanted to go there because we were bringing two 5 month old babies. This hotel was disgusting and the staff was rude. We left after an hour of being there with the thought that we werent being charged for the room. The next day they call to tell mw that they were having a problem charging my card, because i locked them from being able to out of fear this would happen. The associate i talked to on the phone was rude and wanted to charge for the room even after i told her what happened. She proceeded to tell me i was wrong about there being mold and the person who didnt charge me had no athority to tell me i wouldnt be charged. This hotel is a huge NO. NEVER AGAIN.

Thank you for your feed back. I apologize you did not enjoy your stay. I would like to assure there is no mold around or in our pool area we do have live trees around the pool area which are covered by both dirt and black mulch which is what you saw. Chemicals are checked multiple times daily and monthly we turn in samples to the city, further all public pools are inspected every 6 months and we did in fact have our first inspection of 2020 just a few days prior to your arrival and passed the inspection if there had been mold we would not have. We apologize for the chair but unfortunately we cannot anticipate when something may break but rest assured the chair was removed upon finding it broken and replaced. We have been under renovations but it is not an overnight process and we do have several rooms under construction at this time. Again thank you for taking the time to leave us your comments.

We are hoping to have it up and running as soon as possible. As for the sauna, we have had it taken down from our amenities list for a couple of months as we are also working on getting it fixed. Again, as your photo shows, we have it blocked off as it is not guest-ready. If you were expecting the sauna to be working, we would love to hear back from you with a list of sources where it shows that we have a sauna as one of our current amenities. The hot tub was out of order and i thought the pool was too cold. My kids didn't care but i didn't want to swim. The room was nice.

Hey Terry. I just wanted to let you know that in our system(The TownHouse), we did not have this reservation set to canceled. I would advise to always make changes to your reservation through the same method you used to reserve the room. In this case, since you booked on Expedia, I would have advised to cancel your reservation through Expedia. The staff we had were amazing. The bedrooms were nice. Very close to the places we wanted to go without a vehicle. Disappointing part was that the hot tub and sauna didn't work.

Be sure to request a room on the outside of the building and not facing the atrium. It was very loud even after "Quiet hours".

I am sorry that the atruim was still loud after 11 pm. We did have two parties over the weekend, and our waterfall does run 24/7. That being said, I am sorry that your stay was not excellent.
